There were sequels?

Yes, two of them. One of a terrible remake sequel which was really terrible, only Corey Feldman returned from the original cast, with extreme surfing vampires who stab each other and post it on youtube. Called lost boys: the tribe.

The third was okayish, but still terrible staring both frog brothers and vampires who run illegal raves in mineshafts. Called lost boys the thirst.

I'm part of the reason the third one is better.

Since nobody has issued instructions for today, I have no choice but to request details from @CaptainKirksSpookyghost about the indirect involvement in making the third Lost Boys film more light hearted. Do tell!

I don't like to talk about it, rarely even mention it, but okay, if you insist.
Back in the 'dark times' around August 15th 2008 (give or take a day, I don't like to be too exact) I wrote a review of Lost Boys The Tribe, without boasting too much, the review was a fantastic price of self proclaimed art, it pointed out everything wrong with the film including the stupid extreme vampires, the over done vampire makeup and the fact it didn't have a twist ending.

The writer of the lost boys comic (who had been asked to cowrite the 3rd film) then contacted me and lost of other fans via a robot email and said the criticism from the fans has been taken on board and the sequel will be more in tone with the original.

And they did seem to take alot of stuff on board that people complained about. Don't get me wrong, it's still terrible. It's a movie based around the comic relief child actors of the first film set 30 year later, everyone expects it to be terrible, but it does feel more like a sequel.

Oh bravo! I can now brag that I know someone involved with comics and movies!

I do know a moderately successful comic artist/author IRL, but I have only got chums in theaaaaatre thus far. Quite a collection of anecdotes about well known luvvies, but I'd get deleted if I related some of the tales.
