Glinner’s Xmas Break

I just watched Graham’s video tonight where he says he’s taking a break from Twitter over Xmas and I realised that a) we are going to miss him hugely and b) he must be in need of some headspace. The guy is a fucking legend and has taken on this fight to much cost to his reputation, not to mention personal life. I feel such love for the man because he is the ONLY ‘celebrity’ who’s vocal on Twitter who seems to feel as aggrieved and as passionate as I do! It breaks my heart that it might be getting too much for him because if he bowed out I’d feel like they’d won.

Graham, I hope you have a peaceful break over Xmas because if anyone deserves some down time it’s you you bloody ledge.

Yes I watched this and thought he seemed really stressed. Which is no wonder. I have so much respect and gratitude to the man for sticking his head above the parapet where so many are too cowardly.

I just really hope he returns as we have a powerful ally in him, given his high profile and that you can tell he really does care about this.

I watched the video as well, will join you in raising a glass to him. Yes he really does SEE the cult for what it is.

I watched his message last night and was really moved by it. For him to stand shoulder to shoulder with women in spite of what's happened to him and his family is amazing. He just gets it. Despite him thinking otherwise he comes across so well and is a beacon of hope in all this madness. Thank you for everything you've done Glinner, I wish you and your family a very happy, peaceful Christmas.

Thanks Glinner, you truly are an ally. I agree with the OP. I admire him immensly, but it's fair to say this is taking its toll.

He is the only celebrity taking the hit for this. Where is everybody to take some of the load from Graham? I get frustrated that the likes of Caitlin Moran are off making quips about feminism, while this battle goes on in front of their eyes. I still believe that if a large volume of celebrities stood up in unison then there would be strength in numbers and influence to call this out.

I’ve had to delete Twitter, I was getting bloody depressed by the goings on, and found it never ending and so depressing. And Glinner has been so attacked, I don’t know how he and others like him, carry on.

I don’t know if he expected other right minded people in the media to stand up alongside him, but when they didn’t he took the flak, intrusion, lies and harassment without backtracking.
He’s admirable in his consistent stance against the lunacy and I hope he has a good break.

I share your frustration. It is so difficult to explain what has been going on to someone who hasn't been following it. A Government Minister declaring trans women are women, police investigating people, men taking part in women's sport, the transing of children, men in women's prisons, all with the support of many of the great and good. It is unbelievable.

Saw this too, and am glad he is taking a break from the Twitterverse, for the sake of his sanity.
