It seems that the wider conversation in the media has opened up and moved on, and questions are now being asked, but MP's - MP's FOR FECK'S SAKE - are about 6 months behind the rest of the country on this and are still massively (wilfully?) missing the point.

Yep. Public opinion and on-the-ground activism is way, way ahead of parliamentarians and institutions. Crisis will occur before this Titanic is turned around.

The place empty does suggest most MPs plan to shut up, keep their heads down and just quietly vote when it comes to avoid the flak.

I had hoped that today would unleash the batshittery in public - which it has - and that MPs would get a chance to hear how it sounds and stands up to logical thought, but it looks like many have already decided.

I think many of these MPs will be pro self-ID because the gender-critical ones will be too afraid still to put their heads above the parapet.

Honestly though, I think hearing MPs spout this shit will push a number of fence sitters onto the GC side. It's all very well parroting TWAW when you can congratulate yourself on being a woke minority and there's no real danger of bumping into a hairy arsed bloke in the changing room when you take your daughter swimming, but when it gets given the green light people will NOT be happy...

I feel as if these women MPs are holding me down under water. One's got my shoulders, another my head and I need a man to come and save me because the women have ganged up to drown me. Nothing has changed.

It's deliberate, this is being pushed through by someone in govenment.

Nothing has changed amongst the law and policymakers I meant to say.

If this is a poorly attended debate then names will be taken of who attends and who says what and whether or not they are guilty of Wrong Think - and we know David is about the only one with the guts to do that openly. We also know many MPs have quietly confided in private emails they're not happy about this and aren't taken in by it.

So I suspect the people talking are the few militant warriors and many MPs who already aren't happy are just keeping quiet until the vote comes to avoid being harassed, lobbied, bullied and told how much blood they have on their hands for not hurling women joyfully under busses.

Depressing how few MPs care about this. Though I think there wasn't much notice of the debate?

I wish David Davies followed up on his question. “Would you be happy with a person with a male body in a changing room next to you”.
“Yes, I would ...if they are trans women, I don’t see the issue”.
3 questions there need to be asked:

1. How do you KNOW this is a transwoman? They may SAY so.
2. But transwomen have same sexual crime rate as men. What evidence do you have that the process of self Id eliminates this?
3. What if a woman is NOT happy being naked in same room as a person with a male body? What about HER. What are you say8ng she needs to do?

This is just a bunch of woke women saying “I feel sorry for them, let’s let them have anything they want”.
