Hope this works. We should all be able to watch the Westminster hall self ID debate today at 9.30 am live.

Not sure if you can go back and watch it later...

Don’t worry student
She can see into your soul and will forgive you

Part one

Dear Layla Moran,

I was amazed to hear today that you can see the souls of people. As a philosophy student this is ground-breaking information. I wonder if you could take some of your precious time away from gazing at the souls of men and answer some questions for the benefit of all human understanding?

Part two

First and most importantly can you tell us if souls can exist in any capacity without the body? Does this mean that there is some kind of existence after death?

You appear to have described the soul as something separate from the body, if that is so how does the soul and body relate and connect to one another?

If the soul and body are separated as you said, what relevance does a soul have in a debate about the rights of bodies?

You also said that you could see if a soul is male or female?

How does a soul being male or female affect it's characteristics?

Can the soul of a person be reincarnated after they die?

Does Boris Johnson have a soul?

Do you have a soul?

RepealTheGRA · 21/11/2018 14:30

Could you also enquire if she believes in my right not to believe in souls?

ProfessoressWoland · 21/11/2018 14:32

The thing is, as we all know, after it's pushed through there won't be a flood of incidents. What will happen is a steady increase in them - and they'll be recorded as crimes by women even in many cases when it's a man simply using the self-id law as a means to enter women's spaces specifically to abuse.
Exactly, and we won't be able to describe these incidents truthfully, because once the TWAW mantra is accepted in all our institutions, the word transwoman will become taboo.

PhilosophyStudent · 21/11/2018 14:33

Part three

Have you ever seen a soul being taken or processed?

Could one with powers like yours sell their soul?

If so how much is the ARP of the soul?

Are souls inherently good or bad?

Do bad actions like saving a life have an effect on a soul?

Do bad actions like stripping half the population of human rights have an effect on the soul?

Biologifemini · 21/11/2018 14:34

Layla should know better than to talk this nonsense. She studied physics.
Shows everyone is gullible now.

Melamin · 21/11/2018 14:35

'There are women that have beards! Ha ha ha tinkly laugh'

Fuck off. Ageist anti menopause tripe.

As a scientist, I believe government policy should be based on evidence not political posturing and rhetoric.

And who was it who never heard of Karen White?

David Davies tried to get an urgent question posed on Karen White, blocked by John Bercow. And someone who is pro the reforms has never fucking heard of them?

Have they heard of Jacinta Brooks, Karen Jones, Martin Ponting, Davina Ayrton?

Whoever said upthread that they have shown themselves up, isn't wrong. Yes, it's depressing to see how stupid and uninformed they are. But the media has woken up, and they are quite busy now waking up the public. Looking back at that shit show is going to be damaging.

OldCrone · 21/11/2018 14:43

Please present scientific evidence of the existence of souls, Layla.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 21/11/2018 14:44

*The Government are proposing fundamental changes that will have a huge impact on people. That is being done without proper consideration and in an atmosphere of menace. Many people are deeply concerned by what is going on. I urge Ministers and members of the relevant Select Committees to listen to the concerns and to meet some of the groups that are concerned about what is going on, rather than ignoring them, which I am afraid is what happens at the moment."

Very well said David Davies. Nail on the head. And no one provided any kind of answer to that in amongst their wittering on souls and that women have beards.

Melamin · 21/11/2018 14:48

When did it become acceptable to say that women's 'beards' are equivalent to men who have beards who identify as women Angry

PhilosophyStudent · 21/11/2018 14:49

Do good actions like saving a life have an effect on a soul?

Melamin · 21/11/2018 14:50

Hell of a lot of emotional equating ofsexuality with trans.

littlbrowndog · 21/11/2018 14:51

I think I heard was it butler that she would be worried about some of the groups getting to meet members
We all know what groups she was talking
Women s groups cos she nailed her colors right to th3 mast of souls and deities

hackmum · 21/11/2018 14:53

In a representative democracy, the idea is that the people we elect are supposed to be better-informed than the rest of us about the important issues of the day. That's why we don't have referenda on every single piece of legislation.

It's really depressing to find that our elected representatives are actually massively uninformed about this issue, yet happily turn up and give their opinions about it. Doesn't inspire confidence, does it?

PhilosophyStudent · 21/11/2018 14:54

Do you believe in the rights of others to believe God makes no mistakes and people aren't born into the wrong body?

If not please explain why?

Please present scientific evidence of the existence of souls, Layla.

RepealTheGRA · 21/11/2018 14:54

hackmum I was honestly scared at the standard of some of our elected representatives. Are they all like that? Or was that a particularly poor show?

Annandale · 21/11/2018 14:58

Well. This explains why I haven't had a reply from my MP Layla Moran about 'assigned at birth' on government documents.

Except it doesn't - shouldn't she want to explain where I'm going wrong?

RepealTheGRA · 21/11/2018 15:02

Very small majority I see (814) who’s the challenger in that area? What are their views? She definitely needs to be called on her views and ability to think critically in any upcoming election.

Threewheeler1 · 21/11/2018 15:03

Melamin
The fucking beard comment, my god Angry
Think today was a new low for our political system and it's treatment of women rights and safeguarding issues.
It's Panto season for these MPs and we've been cast as the baddies. Not one serious attempt to listen or understand in all that, just the same old trope being regurgitated for a big old woke-credentials pat on the back.

Melamin · 21/11/2018 15:09

Yes Angry

Interesting that they are saying that they are 'advised' by Helen Belcher and Heather Peto……………. no reference to relevant context.

Melamin · 21/11/2018 15:13

Heather Petos sob story of sexual assault will probably be the norm for women with beards before long Hmm (although I think the dilemma of whether to go through the indignity of reporting being grabbed by the tits or the fanny is a perfectly normal female everyday occurrence - I remember a friend going through this at school and being very brave and forward in going through with reporting it - sets the pattern)

Annandale · 21/11/2018 15:20

Previous MP in this constituency was Nicola Blackwood. I never met her but she was a Conservative Theresa May loyalist who voted for Article 50 without doing her extremely Remain constituency the courtesy of explaining why she thought she should do so in a HoC speech. A huge chunk of the constituency voted tactically for Layla Moran as a Lib Dem to keep the Tories out. Despite a tin eared statement shortly after election stating that her success was due to everyone liking Lib Dems policies, she mainly makes videos about the people's vote, demonstrating she does know which side her bread is buttered. She also has a family background as a member of a minority culture. However if she as a scientist truly believes in the GRA reforms and in female souls I'm not sure what to do. I can only keep making the case to her.
