That's a really really shitty response. Given the amount of resources put together, and statements made about 13 Reasons.

Off to lodge my ofcom complaint now.

I'm sure that some children are certain that they are the "wrong" gender when they are still very young. But some children are certain that they are going to marry John who sits next to them in class but doesn't like playing hopscotch in the playground, and they do indeed go on to marry John when they are 19, have three kids, seven grandkids and celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Doesn't mean that we let all children get married before they are old enough to make a more informed decision

Thank-you Floral Bunting, pennydrew and differentnameforthis for your responses and apologies if I offended any of you. It's good to know that none of you would behave like the parents in programme, but take on board that the advice given these days is a gentler approach than the no nonsense 60s-70s mindset.
