Delete My Gender Please

Barracker · 12/10/2018 16:25

Dear @MNHQ. I do not have any gender, because as I'm sure you know, I don't believe in gender as a characteristic that people 'have', only as a stereotypical role people of a sex are expected to perform.

Therefore, as you currently hold some 'gender' data on me that states:
Barracker, Gender = Female
AND as that data is both false and I do not consent for you to hold it, please delete that specific piece of data from my personal information at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

(If you would care to capture data on my biological sex, I would be delighted to offer you that data. Do let me know as soon as you create a field to capture my sex data. This should also assist you if you intend to monitor or analyse data on the Equality Act 2010 regarding the protected characteristic sex.)

Warmest regards

Barracker x

I would certainly appreciate being able to identify myself by sex

ou are a cis woman

Dont presume to tell people what they are thankyou

GraceTheDisgrace · 12/10/2018 16:56

This is only my first day here, but is it really acceptable to call women c**???

FloralBunting · 12/10/2018 16:56

Notveryblissful, I think you can expect a deletion for that. Against the rules.

milkymoonshine · 12/10/2018 16:57

@Notveryblissful you do not get to tell ANY woman that she is "cis". Many women, including myself, do not and will not answer to it. We do not identify with the female gender role that is forced upon us because of our sex class and used to keep us oppressed within that class.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 12/10/2018 16:57

And i am with barracker on this

Its not one rule for one ...

I do not believe in gender, i do not believe i have a gender

Ffsnosexallowed · 12/10/2018 16:58

Gender and sex definitely are not interchangeable. Sex is biological, gender is social.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 12/10/2018 16:58

What Barracker said, please. Thank you.

TinyRick · 12/10/2018 16:58

you are a cis woman

Like fuck she is 😂

Barracker is a woman.

Barracker · 12/10/2018 16:59

No, you are wrong, on every count you make.

And to prove that point, if gender and sex are the same, what on earth would the cis represent?

I posted this on the last thread you blurted that rubbish onto and apparently I must do it again. The following institutions acknowledge that sex and gender are different concepts:
The government
The law
The NHS
Gires
Gendered intelligence
The Police
The World Health Organisation

In fact, when people mistakenly use the words synonymously it only betrays their ignorance or a desire to deceive.

Which would you say fits you best?

#DeleteMyGender too, please, MNHQ. I do not have one. Also happy to provide sex class information should you require it.

Notveryblissful · 12/10/2018 17:03

The law doesn't consider gender and sex to be different. Under the GRA when someone is consisted to have legally changed their gender they have also changed their sex. That's just a fact.

Trans women are adult human females. And anyone who isn't trans is objectively cis, that's just what that term means. Cis isn't an identity it's a objectively characterisation.

Cis and terf in my view are equally offensive.

IKeepFlouncing · 12/10/2018 17:05

Just had a conversation with young DS as on school spelling shed, no gender involved in that conversation. Two sexs only.

Fuck gender fucking bollocks

Hope the knob who called ciswoman is deleted! Obviously a antagonist twat

breastfeedingclownfish · 12/10/2018 17:05

Fuck cis. You don't get to define me. You don't get to say I am a nonsense word. What utter arrogance.

Of course, if you try to pretend they are the same, you fall into the logic trap that means I (for example) could be a transwoman. Except I can't? Please explain to me why not............

Or, as 99.99999% of the human public knows, the females are the only ones who may give birth. I'm sure even my cat (6 kittens*, she knows a bit about birthing!) understands that.

Adult human female exclusively attracted to other adult human females (or 'lesbian' in old money), AND to cats (stereotypical lesbian in training to be mad cat lady........).

[* Before anyone gets annoyed, this was BEFORE she decided to come live with us, whilst she was living with our daft neighbours, we TOLD them she was old enough to get pregnant, but they ignored us.]

TinyRick · 12/10/2018 17:07

Trans women are adult human females

So what are they transitioning to then?

Ok, I just really enjoyed this sentence. I know it was written with the intention of using biggish, intellectualish words but it is wonderfully silly.
