Dear @MNHQ. I do not have any gender, because as I'm sure you know, I don't believe in gender as a characteristic that people 'have', only as a stereotypical role people of a sex are expected to perform.

Therefore, as you currently hold some 'gender' data on me that states:
Barracker, Gender = Female
AND as that data is both false and I do not consent for you to hold it, please delete that specific piece of data from my personal information at your earliest convenience.

I'd also like my gender to be removed but am happy for you to record my sex.

My local authority have agreed, when I pointed it out, that they have been using the terms interchangeably and therefore incorrectly and are going to change it.

I hope Mumsnet will have the good grace to do the same.

Surely they're not squeamish about using the word sex, because that's the only reason I can think of.

Gender is the social role attached to a sex class and I totally dont identify with either of the commonly available ones.

Filling out the GRA consultation certainly brings everything into very close focus. I have no gender. I am a woman, of the sex that is female. That's what I want you to record in your data please MNHQ.

I don't know what the fuck i am any more.

I was assigned female at birth as i have female sex organs. Yet I have never “felt” female, and enjoy many “male” activities such as sport and computers. I don’t enjoy make up, dresses, high heels, manicures, or “girly chats”.

So I don’t identify as female. However although I present as male in that i wear trousers and flat shoes I am not male either.

Maybe I’m a man born in a womans body that rejects being a man? A cross dressing male? Who the fuck knows.
