Thank you for that confirmation DrLouiseJMoody.

I do hope that all is well.

DialSquare · 16/11/2020 15:29

Hi Louise. Funnily enough I thought of your little Terrierists when terrorists were brought up in this thread!

wellbehavedwomen · 16/11/2020 15:52

@Quaagars

Genuine question, why do people put a link behind a sentence so nobody has any idea where it links to? Would be nice to know where it goes
If you hold your mouse over the hyperlink, then the address shows. I'm sure you must do that with links in emails, no?

I use hyperlinks because they make posts easier to read, so I prefer it when other people do it for me. Far easier than one broken up with lots of lengthy URLS.

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 15:56

Yes, and I tried that.
Didn't work.
I'm not in the habit of clicking on links just on the say so of a randomer with a here look at this link and no clue what it is or where it goes to

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 16:04

Well it's a personal choice whether to click on a link or not. If you don't want to, don't.

DrLouiseJMoody · 16/11/2020 16:05

You mean these, Dial Square? Right kind of furries I suppose since they are not on all sorts of degenerate dating sites. Still, not my concern. Simply saying HELLO 💛.

DeaconBoo · 16/11/2020 16:11

Hovering with a mouse worked for me.
Iirc Quaagars also had problems with the quote function when it was brought in - so I suspect either their device doesn't function as normal, or there is a pebcak issue Grin

DialSquare · 16/11/2020 16:15

That's them! Hello back to you and them.

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 16:19

so I suspect either their device doesn't function as normal

Going with this, my laptop is crappy at the best of times so mouse is just probably playing up lol

also no idea what a pebcak is Grin

Campervan69 · 16/11/2020 16:32

That KF thread is hilarious. Have been agog.

Or even when Laura Jeska was convicted of attempted murder.

One thing that never fails to give me the rage is that I strongly suspect that that this twitter account: twitter.com/RadFemme74 is dig at feminists by using that name messed around with.

Baloo Challoner's conviction and 20 year prison sentence for child rape and torture hasn't given any TRAs a moment's hesitation over using the T*RF blocker Challoner created, so it seems guilt by association isn't for the teflon crew. Funny - it's almost as though there's this double standard or something, isn't it?

Campervan69 · 16/11/2020 17:04

Well the statistics prove that transitioning does not lower the male rate of offending. Which is why women should not be forced to share female only spaces with TW.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 17:05

That looks fascinating, nauticant, have bookmarked

To be fair to Quaagars the hovering thing didn't work for me either. I'm ony phone if that makes a difference.
Quaagars · 16/11/2020 17:41

Glad it's not just me then lol

nevermorelenore · 16/11/2020 18:13

On a phone, instead of clicking a link, hold your finger down on it for a second and it opens the meny with options like 'open in new tab'. At the top of this menu, you should be able to see the URL. Works on my android and iPhone.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 18:52

Yes, that works

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 18:57

The votes on any AIBU on this issue say that it's your view that is extremely niche, actually

Actually, think when they're out on the main boards it's less of an echo chamber and you get more of a variation in views than you do in here.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 19:02

You do. Generally drive by plopping and invested people (often repeatedly on these threads) who won't post on FWR because they don't like the views. The vote on the other hand tends to favour GC views.

DeaconBoo · 16/11/2020 19:03

@RedDogsBeg

The blinding sunlight really isn't to some people's taste is it.

Why was the exhaustive list of links to threats removed? How can that be against the Guidelines, it is information and evidence in the public domain.

I can usually see why posts may have been judged to have broken Talk guidelines but I really cannot see why that was.

Is anyone challenging it? Someone asked for evidence for a claim and this post provided plenty of links to cases in the press. I don't recall anything uncivil in the post.

No wonder we get posters saying 'maybe you're imagining it' when evidence is routinely removed.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 19:05

I guess maybe they are extra cautious as this thread concerns legal cases.
