People like Joss Prior and Mimmymum are always posting links and screenshots on twitter.

Yep.

To claim this tweet as evidence of trans activists making bomb threats is simply a lie

No it isn't, it was reported to Sussex police as a credible threat and they investigated it on those grounds. Mea culpa, it was only one bomb threat but I phrased it in a way that many people do when using the English language. It wasn't deliberate.

Don't call me a liar. You've had multiple posts deleted on this thread presumably for your comments last night, so it looks like you are being a bit of a hypocrite here, in accusing others of trying to smear.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 13:19

Oh thanks Datun, I see there was actually more than one bomb threat made by people claiming to be trans activists.

MissAHannigan · 16/11/2020 13:19

Just waiting for the nuclear option to be taken now...

Indeed. JJ has had loads of posts deleted. All the veiled hints and dire predictions would appear to be breaking one guideline after another.
Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 13:21

But actually looking at your point in details, what about someone spreading lies about women? Are they just as culpable for the numerous actual threats and acts of violence against women?

Good question.

endofthelinefinally · 16/11/2020 13:24

@SophocIestheFox

Somebody really, really wants this thread pulled, don’t they.
Yes.
Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 13:28

More seriously, please, transactivists, have a think about the harm you may be doing to vulnerable trans people by encouraging them to think that vast swathes of women want them dead. Come on. You know that’s not helpful. And you know it’s not true.

This. It's deeply irresponsible.

Who is Hayden talking to? Joani Walsh isn't even on twitter is she?

Gurufloof · 16/11/2020 14:36

There's a thread on another place about them. I do not recommend you look at it otherwise you might be signing up for Isis by the end of the week

Fuck, I'm doing it wrong then. Been in the farms for years and no sign of ISIS trying to tempt me.

WhereYouLeftIt · 16/11/2020 14:37

@Quaagars

Genuine question, why do people put a link behind a sentence so nobody has any idea where it links to? Would be nice to know where it goes
I sometimes do this because it makes it easier for other people to read my post.

If I hover my mouse over the sentence, the URL it links to displays at the bottom of my browser window, so I've never considered that I'm 'hiding' its destination.

RedDogsBeg · 16/11/2020 14:37

The blinding sunlight really isn't to some people's taste is it.

Why was the exhaustive list of links to threats removed? How can that be against the Guidelines, it is information and evidence in the public domain.

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 14:49

I did try hovering to see where the link went to or to give a hint as to what it was, didn't work though

It's a hilarious attempt to distract people's attention

Maybe your one of those sleeper agents that hasn't been activated yet Shock
sultanasofa · 16/11/2020 15:00

There are lots of funny posts on that site that we mustn't name. I've been chucking away at it.

Can only imagine being able to speak so freely without consequence.

sultanasofa · 16/11/2020 15:00

chuckling not chucking!!

MissAHannigan · 16/11/2020 15:04

So jj gets to accuse MN members of condoning and encouraging terrorism but links that show its TRAs making bomb threats get deleted.

Par for the course really...

Hopefully it will be reinstated, once that poster emails HQ.

Linking to news stories about threats to women, because someone has said we are liars, does not break any guidelines as far as I'm aware.

At the very least, if you're suddenly not allowed to refute an allegation of deception using evidence, then the allegation should also be withdrawn.

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 16/11/2020 15:12

It's a mystery to me why certain posters are so keen to stop posts on Mumsnet about certain issues, but leave other sites well alone.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Just saying hello, and this thread popped up in my notifications.

I obviously have NO COMMENT and NO THOUGHTS on anything (as someone being sued).

Hope everyone is well 💛.
