From what I can gather its about an email address that was used to send an email to KF member also being the login email for various specialist interest sites that appear to be the accounts for some totally random person... ⛳

@Quaagars

"The monitors" Or maybe, just maybe, it's regular average every day MN posters who are just getting fed up - not everything has to be a scary eye watch monitor situation?
TRAs have said they monitor Mumsnet, in this Vice article:

www.google.com/amp/s/www.vice.com/amp/en/article/a3mn9k/mumsnet-uk-mom-forum-terf-transphobia-feminism

People like Joss Prior and Mimmymum are always posting links and screenshots on twitter.

The votes on any AIBU on this issue say that it's your view that is extremely niche, actually. Women tend to support women's rights, when not in fear of job loss or rape threats, you see.

@Ereshkigalangcleg

There are no precedents for trans activists or LGBT activists to be involved in terrorism.

Just violence against women, so that's ok then. And bomb threats to women's meetings and smoke bombs outside Grenfell tower.

This is why GC involvement with the far/alt right is not the neutral act some seem to suggest.

There are no evidence at all of trans activists making bomb threats (plural I note). There was one very weird tweet send out by a twitter account with a handful of posts and followers shortly before a WPUK meeting. The account was not linked to trans people or trans activists in any way, if anything it looked like a 4chan style troll. As veterans of the left I'm sure WPUK are well aware that left wing meetings sometimes get shit like this. To claim this tweet as evidence of trans activists making bomb threats is simply a lie, and one that can only be intended to stir up hatred against trans people. And it's far from the only lie regularly trotted out by GC people.

If some GC activists are going on forums, or yourtube channels, or other websites linked to the far/alt right and telling lies about trans activists then I'm sorry but if one of those aresholes decides to act on that information then the person spreading those lies has some moral culpability for what happens - just as someone spreading conspiracy theories that the holocaust was a hoax, or lies about muslims, has a degree of moral culpability for antisemitic and racist violence in society.

wellbehavedwomen · 16/11/2020 12:15

Not read about this case then, I take it?

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 12:17

Genuine question, why do people put a link behind a sentence so nobody has any idea where it links to?
Would be nice to know where it goes

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 12:17

Or indeed what it is

MissAHannigan · 16/11/2020 12:18

Lots of ifs and maybes there jj. Why is that?

But actually looking at your point in details, what about someone spreading lies about women? Are they just as culpable for the numerous actual threats and acts of violence against women?

Winesalot · 16/11/2020 12:18

Sadly, what some of regular male posters don't get, is that their sex becomes rather apparent from their opinions and the way they interact.

Particularly lately when we discuss young female children and teenagers who identify as trans. The regulars hand wave away the very uniqueness that this cohort face. And the effects. They minimise anyone who is trans who is raising concerns as being 'not the right kind of trans'. And they come from the position of already having their own families (well two of them) and they have sex lives which they are quite happy to deny others.

Once you see it, it is very very hard to miss.

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 12:20

Why are we going "whataboutery?
It's a fair point (if this is true?) There was one very weird tweet send out by a twitter account with a handful of posts and followers shortly before a WPUK meeting. The account was not linked to trans people or trans activists in any way, if anything it looked like a 4chan style troll

Except for the links already provided but let me guess, they don't count because reasons?

FWRLurker · 16/11/2020 12:25

My husband regularly spends time on 4chan to keep abreast of what that sort are doing and thinking about nowadays. He’s far more liberal than me.

The fact of visiting a specific website tells you nothing about a persons reasons for going there.

Speaking of terrorism people should look into what happened to Michfest attendees Patricia Wright and Charlotte Reed and their poor son. Not going to mention the perp.

accessorizequeen · 16/11/2020 12:27

I did look on KF. Didn’t understand the smug tweets any better. 🤦🏻‍♀️

SunsetBeetch · 16/11/2020 12:37

Kiwi Farms is non partisan, as far as I can tell. They have threads on Richard Spencer and Andy Warski and other alt/far right figures. The only criteria to have a thread on there seems to be being sinster/ridiculous/ weird in some kind of way.

This discussion is frankly laughable and I wonder what the real motive behind it is.*

  • Not really.

That's the thing though FWRlurker. The TRA side would rather dwell in an echo chamber and make shit up. They can't understand getting information from a variety of sources and then making your own mind up about something.
Quaagars · 16/11/2020 12:44

Completely agree with reading "both sides" and from a variety of sources, that's what I've always done and always will do.
Just because you don't want to go to far right publications or sites mentioned on here though, doesn't mean you're automatically dwelling in an echo chamber.

Somebody really, really wants this thread pulled, don’t they.

MissAHannigan · 16/11/2020 12:55

Isn't there a thing where if you mention 2 things constantly that search engines will start to conflate those 2 things if you search for something related to them?

E.G. if you were to constantly mention a persons name and the word idiot would a search engine then start bring up "persons name is an idiot" if you looked up their name?

PronounssheRa · 16/11/2020 12:56

Yes! But to be fair I would as well if I accidently doxed myself this way
missmus · 16/11/2020 13:00

Well I read the thread on KF about this certain individual and it has been very illuminating. The latest, if true, is fricking hilarious. They have shot themselves in the foot in superb fashion. I have been giggling all day. It could not have happened to a more deserving candidate.

Signed - your average, liberal, middle-aged female.

ps if anyone does wander over that way (and I'm not encouraging that, of course) take plenty of brain bleach before you click on any links.

Quaagars · 16/11/2020 13:03

andyoldlabour

Thanks
Genuine question though, first I've heard of this person, and how do you know it's anything to do with "TRA's" - GC's?
The link doesn't say anything about that, or even allude to it anyway, so seems to be a big part of the story missing if it is what you say?

MissAHannigan · 16/11/2020 13:10

This goes back to that thing of checking numerous sources 🙄
