Is SH based in West Yorkshire? If so then I guess you could say that they made the complaint to WYP but even then you would expect WYP to pass it on to their colleagues down South.

Ereshkigal · 06/10/2018 14:40

They didn't with Posie though did they? And they are quite hot on hate crime and "hate incidents" at WYP.

TransposersArePosers · 06/10/2018 14:40

No idea where SH based, but wasn't it WYP who spoke to Posie Parker?

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 06/10/2018 14:44

Yes it was WYP who dealt with Posie.

nauticant · 06/10/2018 14:46

Is SH based in West Yorkshire?

From The Times:

Ms Hayden, 45, an activist from Leeds previously known as Tony Halliday and Steven Hayden, claims to be a lawyer but is not recognised by any professional legal body.

But other online sources show "London" as their location. Not sure what's going on there.

RealGhouls · 06/10/2018 15:46

Some people are quite happy about this

howard97A · 06/10/2018 15:48

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/libertycentral/2010/sep/09/harassment-warning-fair-hearing

Interesting item here on Harassment Act 1997.

The article points out that harassment warnings 'do not amount to being charged with an offence or result in any penalty or conviction that would appear on a criminal conviction record. Neither are they considered to be proof that an offence has in fact occurred.

Yeah, that guy was annoyed for Glinner refusing to back him when he was prosecuted for his 'gas the Jews' video.

RealGhouls · 06/10/2018 16:01

I think it went further then 'refuse to back him' and into 'deserved to be prosecuted and found guilty'.

This case is a little different as Hayden is not using hate crime legislation, but harassment.

BreakWindandFire · 06/10/2018 16:24

"Steph" has now posted on twitter that they demanded - and obtained - a swift harassment warning against Linehan from the police.

Awful as this is for Linehan, like the private prosecution of Venice and Linda, it's going to raise the profile of this issue.

I see that journalists are now tweeting 'Steph' for a quote. Maybe they'll start digging into the past business interests of Steph/Tony/Steve which were previously highlighted.

BreakWindandFire · 06/10/2018 16:25

As an aside I'm interested in human rights law and had some correspondence years ago with a leading civil liberties journalist about the injustice of harassment warnings among other things.

That journalist? John Ozimek. Now Jane Fae! Wonder if their stance on the matter is still the same.

I think West Yorkshire Police is the force where Susie Green from Mermaids has a long-standing dear family friend working as ?Diversity Lead? or maybe Equalities?

They were the force who travelled to the South West (hotel stays included ) and were used used to harass Posie Parker. I think Linda Bellos too , if I remember they didn't travel that time but sent local officers from Norwich to speak to her.

It doesn't seem they are upholding the law in any neutral way. Looks they are being used as tools of intimidation for political purposes of private citizens.
Fucking chilling again.

HomeStar · 06/10/2018 16:40

If Glinner opens up his Twitter again it might be a great opportunity for him to talk about the West Yorkshire Police. Wasn’t there a thread here about them? They deserve a bit of publicity for their sterling efforts in this important area.

I for one appreciated how they were able to spare two police officers for two days to go and interrogate Posie Parker in person. I guess they’ve freed up the time by not investigating rape cases now that rape is legal in Holbeck. They must be world leaders in that type of resource management.

HomeStar · 06/10/2018 16:44

Great minds, WanderinWomb

I remember reading an essay years and years ago about the misogyny of West Yorkshire Police. It was about how they fucked up the Yorkshire Ripper case. There’s been something wrong there for a very long time.

hellandhairnets · 06/10/2018 16:48

Very interesting, WanderinWomb. I was about to ask if there was a "friend in a high place" involved there somewhere.

And lo. Just a coincidence, surely.

R0wantrees · 06/10/2018 16:59

RE West Yorkshire Police, see thread linked above.

R0wantrees · 06/10/2018 17:23

Question: Do the Police and CPS look at the Twitter history of complainants such as Flying Lawyer and GuilianaLondon?

Stephanie Hayden takes Graham Linehan to court for doxxing
WanderinWomb · 06/10/2018 17:29

I'm trying to find a link.
Its one of those "things people have known forever " in the charities, health and social care, criminal justice sector in Leeds.
(Dear doxxers: that's not my location or sector )

Susie Green's child was horribly bullied as a teen and she got the police involved multiple times and became very close to some officers over the years.

Threewheeler1 · 06/10/2018 17:37

Amazing how those harassment warnings only go in one direction.
It seems the rules of niceness are only applicable if you are living as your biological sex.
Everyone else is far too fragile, wiping their eyes at the literal violence of truthful statements and reasonable questions, whilst they simultaneously tell women to 'die in a fire'.

Threewheeler1 · 06/10/2018 17:40

Spot on HomeStar.

Well I never !
So many paths lead back to so few names.

thatdamnwoman · 06/10/2018 18:11

Now is the time for Glinner to obtain a legal opinion regarding a harassment claim. I have my wallet at the ready, Graham.

Never back down from these bullies.
