I'm not surprised by the vitriolic ranting against Posie, in a way it just goes to show how she's getting under the trans rights activist's skin.

The daily fail even did a "disrespectful women" slant to an article on her.

The heartening thing was the commenters on that post weren't having any of it.

The Mail article is I think more subtle than you give credit for. The Metro called her disrespectful. The Mail is reporting what was said about her without comment. I expect the comments on the Mail article will support her.

Because she is charismatic, populist and an excellent communicator who cuts straight through the feminists vs genderists bubble and speaks straight to Joe and Joanna Public.

This is a worst case scenario for them because their only hope of success is to keep it as a niche political discussion with most people ignorant of the practical consequences and implications. As soon as "civilians" understand it, the game is over for them.

I don't know how those This Morning managed to get those wet comments. No one agrees that IW is a woman. A minority pretend they do to be nice.

The comments btl show that the article comes across as a 'non article'. Few shares, small number of comments saying basically "Posie is right, why is this an issue? The fact this is an issue is troubling."

It's obvious that IW gave the heads up to Mark Helen/Natacha Kennedy or some other ringleader in the information war against women whose minions were there, tweets to hand, before they even started the show.

No sane free-thinking person thinks IW is a woman. So they had some stooge tweeters prepared for their orchestrated, prepared piece on 'no one agrees with you Posie'. It was a crap conjuring trick.

Posie Parker annoys them so much, because she does not mirror them at all. While feminists have traditionally affirmed that, yeah, patriarchy is shit to anyone who presents as female gender or generally, not the macho male gender (which is absolutely correct), you won‘t get that from Posie. No opening to be mirrored.

They are annoyed by her because she's attractive and she doesn't give a shit. As my mum would say: They are just jealous

I think Posie is very brave.

She knows that she has expressed views that will get her pilloried by both sides of this debate but she is still putting herself out there.

People have said before that this is now a very dangerous time for women. The antics of David & Amie Challenor, Jess Bradley, Karen White, Edward Lord, Philip Bunce are out there for people to see, analyse and judge. Women's groups are being heard far more. The lunacies of prosecuting Venice and Linda Bellos are being discussed, the girl guides, Manfriday - journalists across the spectrum are now writing about all of this. men are increasingly writing and commenting

The trans groups still have a strangle hold on local and national government (see Leeds city council stopping democratic debate the other day) and they are ramping up their efforts in that direction.

Posie has been brave and courageous and is taking much of the public flack for the progress that all women are making. I salute her alongside all the brave women leading campaigns, arguing and writing (and those men involved). They should all encourage us to redouble our efforts in talking to people whenever and wherever we can.

To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of hers on Twitter but I think TV suits her much better. I like the way she doesn't try and ingratiate herself. She smiles only when she wants to. And she seems totally unflappable which is a huge asset on TV.

(And she wears some great clothes.)

I always used to say TWAW. I didn’t believe it. I did it because I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings and couldn’t see it did any harm. Most people I know are of this view, when discussing in private.

You should try re-reading that article. There is nothing in it to agree or disagree with. The Mail is reporting what others , including The Metro, have said. The article itself has no opinion.

You should also try reading the thread on here called "Purity". Your comment is exactly the sort of purity based, unthinking stance which is one of the reasons the left is in such a mess.

The mail could have chosen a different slant on the debate. They must know how their readers would respond. Report like this a with an extra splash of controversy and up go the reacts, generating views and advertising revenue.

If they'd just gone with "women defines biological sex correctly" not so provocative.
