People need to start stirring the local LD parties over this.
If you are a member you have a better in to do this.
If you are a none member you can still stir the shit with local councillors or the local party.
The local network is very different to the executive bodies. Done right it could unleash a right hornets nest.
It depends on where you live. Cambridge just don't bother. South Manchester I think a mixed bag - lots of loopies, so a question of being careful but I'm sure plenty of grassroots members who frankly just haven't thought about it in the efforts to be "nice" whilst they live in their middle class bubble.
Take it off line. Go retro. Talk to people, write to people. Email people. The online groups are clearly patrolled.
But I do think there is lots of room to make the party start to take notice. There are plenty of other places across the country where this can be stirred.
As I say, it's about getting the grassroots members away of what lunacy the main party have been up to.
The grassroots will Not like how women have been kicked out the party and how the LGBT lds have been trying to get academics sacked.
The LD network is small but not as small and cliquey as the Green one. And because they have a chance of being elected need to listen in a way the Greens don't.
