Aimee Challenor welcomed into the Lib Dems

Just for quick context, Aimee Challenor resigned from the Lib Dems under a cloud of shit, after Aimee's father was charged for raping a 10-year-old-girl while dressed in a nappy, and Aimee continued to employ him as an agent.

So there is currently an investigation by Veritas into what happened, this has not been completed, but already welcomed with open arms into the Lib Dems.

Sickening.

Yy needs I am horrified at the lack of due diligence political parties in this country are demonstrating at the moment, from placing emotionally and mentally fragile people into positions for which they are massively under qualified just to seem “inclusive”, to this. AC is under investigation and has demonstrated extremely concerning judgment. Not someone I’d want to be in a position of any power, and I’m fairly certain no one born female would be scooped up with such relish and alacrity.
All very alarming.

MrsBertBibby · 30/09/2018 09:14

The lib dems who until recently were led by a man who couldn't say gay sex was not a sin?

Right up Challenges alley.

MrsBertBibby · 30/09/2018 09:15

Challenor's. Stupid autocorrect.

AbsintheFriends · 30/09/2018 09:15

There must be a fair bit of 'what the fuck' panic behind those rictus grins of welcome in the tweets of LibDem MPs...

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 30/09/2018 09:16

I hope so Grin

NicoAndTheNiners · 30/09/2018 09:18

So not only are they involved in all the dubiousness of whatever went on in their house but they also have the morals of a rat.

Surely if you’re in a political party you’re in it for a reason? That that particular party has values, etc you believe in. That you don’t jump ship into another party within a couple of weeks. Would make me think they don’t give a shit about the Lib Dem policies, etc but are happy to use any party who will host them to use as a platform for their own advancement. Very low.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 30/09/2018 09:18

What was that old black and white film again when the town children had psychic power a the power to kill by thought?

I reminds me of that. Say the right thing. Think the right thing. Never look them in the eye and never call her a him even if he has his bits on display.

Wasn't there an old joke about a servent who walked into a bedroom of a grand house and saw a female guest naked. He said 'Apologies, sir'... And backed out.

Floisme · 30/09/2018 09:18

Agree with dolorsit. I think Aimee Challenor is absolutely entitled to join another party - it’s whether the Libdems allow Aimee the kind of platform they enjoyed with the Greens that will be interesting.

Popchyk · 30/09/2018 09:20

This is brilliant.

Love it. Can't see Zoe O'Connell and Sarah Brown will welcome any powersharing in their fiefdom.

I suspect that they will manipulate AC to convey information that the other two can then distance themselves from. AC will be none the wiser of course.

GoldenWonderwall · 30/09/2018 09:21

I thought Nick Clegg was a massive sell out but he was Churchillian compared to the rabble that has continued in his wake.

Is there any other characteristic someone could have where their actions and behaviour are thereby unquestionable?

LangCleg · 30/09/2018 09:22

Sigh and a bitter LOL.

As we predicted on this thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3375843-Failed-1st-transwoman-MP-hopeful-stamps-out-in-huff-on-losing-election

Will Sophie do the same thing?!

Juells · 30/09/2018 09:23

Anyone is entitled to change political party.

LangCleg · 30/09/2018 09:24

I keep thinking about Lisa Muggeridge on institutional grooming and how few infiltrators it takes to do it. You'd have thought that if there were any common sense left at LibDem HQ, they would have rejected this membership application, wouldn't you?

VickyEadie · 30/09/2018 09:27

Anyone is entitled to change political party.

Indeed. I was in Labour for 40 years until they appointed the clown-in-chief as leader and decided that misogyny and anti-semitism were their new raison d'etre.

Now I'm a member of the 'no party represents me and my values at all ' party.

HandsOffMyRights · 30/09/2018 09:27

The ego knows no bounds. The audacity to not only do this after everything, but to write 'Pride not Transphobia' is really something. How entitled and arrogant can you be. Have they not heard of decorum/common decency?

More fool the LibDems. Its antics and Gulag visions are already dubious to say the least. Welcome to the dark side.

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 30/09/2018 09:29

Hi Vicky!! It's me - compound noun lady Wink

GoldenWonderwall · 30/09/2018 09:29

‘Pride not transphobia’ by James Austen sounds like a redacted and rewritten book we’ll be allowed to read in the brave new future Smile

FesteringCarbuncle · 30/09/2018 09:30

Go Juells
A perfect demonstration of totally missing the point Grin

borntobequiet · 30/09/2018 09:31

Fekko do you mean The Midwich Cuckoos? From a pretty chilling John Wyndham book.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 30/09/2018 09:31

Hmmm. I saw Challenor Junior in London the other day so I was wondering what they were up to after their resignation.

The LibDems really do want to dig their political grave, don't they?

borntobequiet · 30/09/2018 09:34

Oh, I see the film was renamed Village of the Damned. The book name was better.

HamiltonCork · 30/09/2018 09:35

If the lib dems want to shackle themselves with the charisma free zone that is aimee chaneloor then that is their look out. This individual is completely unelectable no matter what party they are in.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 30/09/2018 09:35

They look like evil umpa loompas.

hackmum · 30/09/2018 09:40

If the lib dems want to shackle themselves with the charisma free zone that is aimee chaneloor then that is their look out.

They're idiots. Challenor is much worse than a charisma-free zone - they are a complete liability. This will backfire on them massively.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 30/09/2018 09:41

There was an article in 'Love It' magazine this week about Challenor Senior. It mentioned Challoner Junior. I don't know what the intersection between 'Love It' readers and LibDems is, but with any luck a few voters will be peaktransed and see the LibDems for the bottomfeeders that they are.
