Aimee Challenor welcomed into the Lib Dems

Just for quick context, Aimee Challenor resigned from the Lib Dems under a cloud of shit, after Aimee's father was charged for raping a 10-year-old-girl while dressed in a nappy, and Aimee continued to employ him as an agent.

So there is currently an investigation by Veritas into what happened, this has not been completed, but already welcomed with open arms into the Lib Dems.

Sickening.

Just to add to this, three women have just been suspended from the lib dem women's network (a group which mainly operates via a closed facebook group), for politely saying they were concerned by Aimee Challenor's joining the lib dems, given Aimee ran the mcarthy style terfblocker blocklist.

Obvs "polite" is my reading of it, but the resulting thread was very polite, had many cries of "TERFS" in return, was then closed by an admin in response to complaints.

And now the women posting on it (who were the subject of complaints) have been suspended from the group.

It looks like Sarah Brown was added to the women's network group sometime after the original post. Sarah Brown and Zoe oconnell are active on the original thread, calling women terfs and transphobes, respectively.

Things that will get you banned from lib dems womens network:

Saying you have no political argument with transitioned transwomen, but are concerned by self id.
Posting jane clare jones pieces.
Linking to evidence transwomen have offending rates in line with men.
Saying you are concerned with the silencing of women.

Do join the women's network, Black, if you haven't already.

I think there needs to be an open discussion on this, and it will help if there is anyone left to make the argument {hollow laugh}

If this group was (for example) Liberal Woman Chat UK, it'd be depressing and disconcerting to see women suspended for raising concerns, about silencing of women.

But this is the women's wing of the lib dems. The faceb group is literally the Lib Dem Women's way to communicate with members.

Express concern about silencing of women and you are out.

Facebook privacy settings let you stop other people seeing what groups you’re in/who you follow. Make sure you’ve got them set to not show to everyone else.

Terflon! You certainly have to wonder exactly what Aimee would have to do to actually be dropped. It does seem nothing sticks. I used to leaflet for the LDs. They can totally F off now. The LGBT Twitter account is the worst. Again they can get away with absolutely anything. Take a look at Sarah Ditum questioning one of their prospective MP candidates as he leaps to protect the rights of trans women to be in women's prisons.

I’m horrified that the Lib Dem’s are welcoming in Aimee. I never got that welcome, I worked very hard with small children to look after, fighting for liberal values that I thought included free speech now only to find women asking questions about their rights bein silenced and likened to the BNP kicked out of discussions to be replaced by trans activists.

There was always a close connection with Aimee Challenor and the LibDeb LGBT+ twitter group (Sarah Brown, Zoe O'connell?)

When AC thought they had been dropped as Diversity and Inclusion spokesperson earlier in the year, the LDLGBT+ made a comment about their good friend etc

They all work together as part of Stonewall's Trans Advisory group.

For anyone not up to date on this, Shahrar Ali stood for leadership and AC was a candidate for Deputy Leader.

What is Ali’s crime according to AC?

The proximate act that brought on the AC reproof was that he tweeted Bea Campbell's article (something for which a number of people criticised him as making him complicit in Campbell's alleged transphobia).
