Aimee Challenor welcomed into the Lib Dems

Just for quick context, Aimee Challenor resigned from the Lib Dems under a cloud of shit, after Aimee's father was charged for raping a 10-year-old-girl while dressed in a nappy, and Aimee continued to employ him as an agent.

So there is currently an investigation by Veritas into what happened, this has not been completed, but already welcomed with open arms into the Lib Dems.

Sickening.

(Someone may make a new thread - I just thought I’d keep it in one place, but the thread title might confuse people) 😊

Thanks for tje updaye, do you have any further details?

Good news if they have been removed.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 29/07/2019 10:11

What makes you say that 2B ?

Really good news if true

youllhavehadyourtea · 29/07/2019 10:13

We don't know if they have been removed from the advisory board.

Challenor's name is no longer there, but members can be anonymous.

wheresmymojo · 29/07/2019 10:23

TBF Aimee has joined as a member, not in any specific role.

There is no vetting of individuals joining any of the main parties as a member - you just sign up online so I think this post is a little unfair.

wheresmymojo · 29/07/2019 10:26

ACs application to join may be under review, but they are already writing for them

They're not writing for the Lib Dem's - that is a site for Lib Dem supporters to post opinions on. It doesn't in anyway mean AC is representing the Party.

youllhavehadyourtea · 29/07/2019 10:26

Challenor has been Lib Dem DIversity Officer ( Coventry) since January according to Linkedin

2BthatUnnoticed · 29/07/2019 10:47

Apologies - can’t find any official confirmation so asked HQ to delete until/if there is Blush

(to be clear, wasn’t anything to do with LibDems)

Needmoresleep · 29/07/2019 10:58

To clarify, Stonewall no longer list AC as a member of their trans advisory group. However this does mean that she is no longer part of the group

"MEMBERS OF THE GROUP WERE APPOINTED FOLLOWING AN EXTENSIVE APPLICATION AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS. PLEASE NOTE, SOME MEMBERS OF THE GROUP HAVE ELECTED TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS, SO HAVE NOT BEEN INCLUDED ON THIS LIST."

In short, we have no idea who belongs to this group. Aimee's name may simply have been taken off the Stonewall website.

I wish all those organisations, including schools, parting with good money to receive advice would demand to know who is the source of that advice.

Can you do FOI requests on organisations like Stonewall?

ChickenonaMug · 29/07/2019 10:59

2B I think that you are probably correct about AC as AC's LinkedIn account seems to back up the disappearance of the name from Stonewall. I doubt that any confirmation will be forthcoming from Stonewall.

Needmoresleep · 29/07/2019 11:00

Help I'm missing a not.

However this does NOT mean that she is no longer part of the group

ChickenonaMug · 29/07/2019 11:02

Needmoresleep as far as I am aware a charity does not need to respond to a FOI request.

Both prospective leaders were happy to be pictured grinning with Challenor in the run up to the election. They know full well who Challenor is.

@glinner

I am guessing that as a result of your article, Aimee Challenor's name has been taken off the Stonewall's website. My supplementary guess is that she is still a member of the Stonewall Trans advisory committee. In short, nothing has changed, other than Stonewall is even less transparent than it was before.

These are the people who advise the schools our children go to.
