I see the crowd funding thread has been deleted. Message from MNHQ re not allowing campaigns not from registered charities etc.

Have I been had? Now panicking about doxxing etc. I just wanted to help. I'm not that savvy really Blush

No, you haven't been had

HawkeyeInConfusion · 15/09/2018 21:57

My reading of it was that it was deleted because requests for funding aren't allowed (except on some special board somewhere). It's just the rules.

I don't think there was any suspicion about it being untoward. I think it was legitimately for FPFW.

I hope they reach their target. Their work is crucial for raising awareness.

No FPFW are perfectly legit. I've donated to numerous campaigns.

MN just have a rule about crowdfunding sites which we ignore for feminist campaigns and they always delete after a few hours

scepticalwoman · 15/09/2018 22:04

Don't worry OP - it was the link that got it deleted .
There are men watching this board reporting every single post that they can.

DuggeesWoggle · 15/09/2018 22:05

Phew, my blood ran cold when I saw the deletion message! Thanks for the reassurance.

Shame we can't keep it bumped but hopefully they will make their target.

I'm not an activist just an ordinary mum who has been totally peak transed by what I've read on here and worried for the world my DS will grow up in.

Just mentioning that they've reached £2,000 already!

DuggeesWoggle · 15/09/2018 22:16

Perhaps we should just carry on not linking to it or promoting it then...

No, you didn't do a wrong thing.

It was all entirely my fault. I saw the new crowdfund mentioned elsewhere and came straight here to start a thread.

I completely forgot that there are no crowdfund links allowed on the MN boards.

Sorry to cause any worry!

StunninBravepen · 15/09/2018 23:06

What is FPFW?so i can err avoid it....

StunninBravepen · 15/09/2018 23:07

Is it Fair play for woman?? if this post is against rules please delete.

OvaHere · 15/09/2018 23:11

Yes it is. We can talk about it just no posting links.

StunninBravepen · 15/09/2018 23:15

ok just getting a bit all handmaidens tale around here ;=

Blessed be the fruit///

Starlive23 · 16/09/2018 00:14

Omg OP I had the exact same thoughts!!! Thank you for posting, phew!

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 16/09/2018 00:31

Any spare £10 any of you have should be donated to FPFW. This is the biggest attack on women's rights and children's safeguarding in the last 30 years.

AngelsAckiz · 16/09/2018 00:42

Is that for the "woman = adult human female" billboards? I've donated to that today

BesmirchingMotherhood · 16/09/2018 00:46

No, billboards is Standing for Women.

FPFW is Hands off our rights.

DuggeesWoggle · 16/09/2018 09:34

So just to make sure this isn't bumped, no one should Google Fair Play For Women and donate to their crowdfunding thing.

MangoSplit · 16/09/2018 09:40

Definitely not a bump from me

Theinconstantgardener · 16/09/2018 09:54

Or me

KatVonGulag · 16/09/2018 09:54

I'm so grateful to these brave women. To all of you that have stuck your heads above the parapet.... because you care. I'll send more funding fpfw's way.

Got it. And should we not mention how well the campaign's going so far either? I've been out leafleting a couple of times. Most people had no idea this was happening and want to know more.

DuggeesWoggle · 16/09/2018 10:03

No definitely don't mention that, Empress
