Previous thread here:

Will post links to AC's public statement and Caroline Lucas's appalling white wash job in a moment, but for me, Andrew Gilligan nails it yet again:

Ahh Doe...I see you've made it over here.

I have not led a sheltered life and yet this diaper fetish suddenly makes me wonder about one of my mum's patients when she did home care. He was incontinent, "adjective,

  1. having no or insufficient voluntary control over urination or defecation. 2. lacking self-restraint; uncontrolled."
WomblingWoman · 04/09/2018 20:46

Even a whole box of Daz isn't going to clean up AC's reputation after all the screenshots.

They can "kid" themselves all they like.

calpop · 04/09/2018 21:03

Spends a lot of time playing GTA. What a fucking surprise.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 04/09/2018 21:13

Aimee's "been an expert at the Oxford union"

I just don't know where to start...

NotMeOhNo · 04/09/2018 21:22

No mention of the environment at all. The narcissism is breathtaking.

Could someone put a screenshot on here of the steam thing avatar? For posterity. With everything being scrubbed we need the evidence for later.

CesiraAndEnrico · 04/09/2018 22:04

Any political/organisations connections to this person currently in court that earlier threads may have uncovered ?

Sorry to keep interrupting when you're talking about an ex-Green Party member but there are developments elsewhere.

  1. The new Green leaders (Bartley and Berry) were interviewed on LBC, Ian Dale's radio show this evening. Anyone hear them?
  1. Pink News published an article by Green member and LBGTQWERTY co-chair Lucas North that calls WPUK transphobic and a hate group.
"A letter to Caroline: politicians shouldn't legitimise hate groups"

www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/09/04/caroline-lucas-green-party-legitimise-hate-groups/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Buffer&utm_campaign=PN

I don't think anyone in WPUK has picked up on the libel yet.

  1. WPUK did however complain about the BBC's failure to ask them for a comment in reply to Challoner's comments about WPUK in the BBC Midlands interview.

Carry on.....

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 22:13

I don't think anyone in WPUK has picked up on the libel yet.

Fairly sure I saw a statement from them re libel on twitter earlier today, but didn't click on it. I'll see if I can find it.

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 22:14

womansplaceuk.org/slurs-slander-libel/
Slurs Slander & Libel
In the course of the last year Woman’s Place UK (WPUK) has been under almost relentless attack both on social media and in real life.

We believe that many of the comments made about us are defamatory and could qualify as libel and/or slander.

We are often encouraged by our supporters to take legal action to challenge these slurs and defend our reputation, including when they have been made about individual members of WPUK. On occasion, we have done this by sending pre-action legal letters and this has usually resulted in the withdrawal or deletion of the defamation.

We are very grateful to our supporters in the legal field who have advised us pro bono on these cases and continue to do so.

However, the pursuit of a legal case is fraught with problems (not least the time and cost) and we have often chosen to ignore comments made by those petty individuals trying to deflect people away from our campaign. To tackle every scurrilous tweet or post would take us away from the important work of winning our five demands.

We are all juggling other responsibilities and simply don’t have the time or energy to challenge every slur through the law.

We are lucky to have so many supporters who often challenge these slurs on our behalf and use our record to demand retractions.

We are incredibly grateful to you all.

We believe that, on this issue, this approach is as – if not more – effective than lengthy, costly court proceedings which would give our detractors more glory than they merit.

We never rule legal action out and where we have taken steps we have been rewarded. But we think our campaign is best won in the court of public opinion not a court of law. And, with your support that is where we continue to focus our time and our energy.

RedToothBrush · 04/09/2018 22:16

Got to be honest, at this stage, I think it absolutely the right course of action.

That might change, but turning to the law on this might be counter productive.

theOtherPamAyres · 04/09/2018 22:19

@Red

yes, I saw that earlier, but I think it relates to the BBC and comments on Twitter. I don't know if they are aware of Penis News/Green Pary latest letter to Caroline today.

NameChangedAgain18 · 04/09/2018 22:32

Good to have you here doedoe. Sterling work you've been doing.

BettyDuMonde · 04/09/2018 22:34

Cesira - not directly, but Jess Bradley was ‘co covenor for prisons’ for Teli and claimed to write to trans prisoners (and did some sponsored thingy to buy books for prisoners).

Cooper has been incarcerated since 2012.

arranfan · 04/09/2018 22:35

WPUK are spot on about where they need to put their scarce resources.

Nonetheless, I am disturbed that some people are trying to get WPUK framed as a "hate group" before most people come across WPUK for real.

It says dispiriting things about the state of political discourse that is it so comparatively easy to label an organisation a "hate group" in default of any actual "hate" or even actions that would cause a mild "tut".

thecatfromjapan · 04/09/2018 22:37

The problem with taking action against all these young people spouting nonsense about WPUK is that they are young and probably vulnerable.

So it makes calling them up on their comments look bad.

Of course, the thing is, if you're too young and vulnerable to be held to account, you probably shouldn't be allowed to say those things, on a serious platform, by the accountable adults around you. Or those adults should make clear that there are limits to how much authority the words carry. Or they should qualify what has been said , and make it clear there's a qualification.

'Authenticity' has its limits. And one of them is where accountability, expression, and impact on another all meet.

thecatfromjapan · 04/09/2018 22:39

This 'hate group' thing is ...

theOtherPamAyres · 04/09/2018 23:15

@CatfromJapan

Wouldn't you agree that Pink News must take some responsibility for commissioning an article from a Green party member that contains libel?

Lucas North has just graduated from University - early 20s and not a teenager possibly?

There is, I believe, a still ongoing disciplinary matter involving a student at Bristol University. The student's actions and the focus of support for him (?) are related to a WPUK meeting. This though is the university's legal concern.

theOtherPamAyres · 04/09/2018 23:25

Is it time for another thread on the Green Party: ie the Verita Enquiry, Caroline Lucas's meetings, the position of the newly elected Leaders of the Green party, the implosion of TerfBlocker and so on?

There are a lot of important points being raised, but some are off-topic or belong on other active threads.

CesiraAndEnrico · 04/09/2018 23:54

There has been a lot of hard stuff to read on this thread. So here is something slightly more cheering.

Hopefully this is just the start of Sanctimonious Morph finding it increasingly uncomfortable between his self made rock and hard place.

I’m not sure AC or JB could ever be described as ‘fashionable’ Grin

Turph · 05/09/2018 00:03

CesiraAndEnrico
I believe you are 100% correct and that organised paedophilia has a lot to gain from ill-considered legal changes, no matter whether the intent behind them was/is malicious or not. The following are just examples.
UK
Jersey
UK
online
Belgium
More investigation about Belgium
There's so much of it, in such high places, that I can honestly see it as a driver for social change, and that trans people are just being used to facilitate that.

Turph · 05/09/2018 00:05

Just to reiterate: I'm not linking paedophilia with being trans.
