What happened? Why was there seemingly an attempt to remove Aimee in April?

That is interesting.

I've seen Aimee's videos that placemats posted. I can believe there were problems in paradise caused by the contrast of the "rising star" hype and "the reality".

Might be worth a little dig around LBGTJKHERFHJKREFKJHVERHKJREVJKHVR tweeting around that time to see who was having a pop at the green party, and why.

Red just wanted to say. Bloody love your posts. Not just that one. All of them.

thecatfromjapan · 29/08/2018 20:14

If it is true that, once the Ward HQ became a crime scene, the police DID inform the Green Party, if someone in the Green Party took a decision to ignore safeguarding procedures and due oversight?

Who?

Why?

Aimee was promoted, very young, to some very senior positions.

With seemingly very little oversight it now would appear.

Is that normal?

Who, in the Green Party, pushed that along?

Why?

The Heather Brunskill-Adams piece is spot on.

Which is, frankly, depressing.

Aimee was the party's LGBTQONFOINDIN spokesperson until the day the story broke when their name (and that position) was removed from the list. Aimee's twitter profile still maintains they hold that position. The chairs of the Greens' LGBTQIA team/committee/whatever have no jurisdiction to ask Aimee to remove that from their profile. Only the Exec can do that apparently and they appear strangely reluctant to force Aimee to do anything ...

TrumpsToddlerTantrums · 29/08/2018 20:24

Its going back a few pages, but with regards to Tina Challenor standing for local elections, "it is a criminal offence to make a false statement on your nomination papers as to your qualification for being elected, so if you are in any doubt you should contact your employer, consult the legislation or, if necessary, take your own independent advice.

The Returning Officer will not be able to confirm whether or not you are disqualified." From The Electoral Commission Guidance, Nov 2017.

Its the responsibility of the candidate to ensure they are eligible. Then again, standing as a Green Party candidate usually comes with fuck all chance of getting elected, so maybe it is just a big old non-issue anyway.

Is stuff about this sort of thing really relevant to anything that matters?
Curiosity I can understand, I'm renowned for, but not cool to post stuff about essentially someone's life that is in no way relevant .

AngryAttackKittens · 29/08/2018 22:26

Hmm, I also am very interested in what happened in April. Did some sensible person within the GP realize that Aimee was a massive liability and try to have them removed from their post? And then get overruled because woke points and potential for TRA backlash?

BettyDuMonde · 29/08/2018 22:27

It was a published quote in a national news source and considering that we are trying to get to the truth? I think it’s fair to question everything!

However, in this particular instance, the answer is yes, it is possible to attend a public school despite having economically inactive parents.

BettyDuMonde · 29/08/2018 22:29

Wasn’t April when Jess Bradley was removed from the companies house info for the NUS?

And the absolutely batshit NUS Trans conference was around that time too?

thebewilderness · 29/08/2018 22:32

Is stuff about this sort of thing really relevant to anything that matters?

It seems relevant to how predators like DC game the system in so many different ways to obviate scrutiny by drawing attention to themselves.

BettyDuMonde · 29/08/2018 22:34

lgbtiqa.greenparty.org.uk/people/lucas-north.html

So, there is definitely a tenuous connection between the NUS trans stuff and the Greens and something deffo kicked off around the time period at the NUS.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/08/2018 22:42

I'm going to assume that whatever happened then the trans person who leaked the info about Bradley knew about it. Dissent within TRA ranks over just how much appalling and criminal sexual behavior should be tolerated in the name of the cause?

I think there a line about asking questions and then speculating further than that, that we need to be a little wary if here.

BraveAndStunning · 29/08/2018 23:05

Lucas North? I need to watch Spooks again

OrchidInTheSun · 29/08/2018 23:13

He's got a lovely website. Features our favourite Anna Lee (although I can't see the luminous Jess in the photo - I guess she's moved beyond undergrad politics)

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 29/08/2018 23:15

I’m surprised there isn’t more of a crossover between the greens/nus tbh.

Former green and only still an nus member for the cinema discount and free cheeseburgers Grin

FlintyBadman · 29/08/2018 23:34

Hi Mumsnet Smile

What part of my post broke guidelines?

I didn't mention the name of the school AC attended - and even if I had it's in the public domain via a Guardian article, made public by AC themselves.

Nothing against guidelines by mentioning the Challenor's conviction for animal abuse (also in the public domain).

That only leaves a mention of a Twitter account that was posted earlier in the thread. That post is still there.

No 'Mumsnet calling' message has arriveved into my email account so I'm a bit confused.

thebewilderness · 30/08/2018 00:05

Photoshop is amazing, innit?

SPOFS · 30/08/2018 00:24

I wonder if the Green Party are scared of what AC will say/do if removed? Let's face it, she must have something good on them if they haven't sacked her yet.
