On to the matter of the site going down last night - it had nothing to do with any internet trolls and was simply a matter of "resources issues" and we all basically had to be switched off at the wall and on again.

Hi Amalfi, sorry I didn't see that before (the @ doesn't work for us, unless we're on another system so reports are best). I can certainly check for you but would be inclined to guess that this thread will be deemed sufficient for now. Might as well keep things in one place.

Hi everyone, we were straying into the realms of speculation again, so we are making some deletions on the thread to bring the tone more in line with the spirit of MN.
With regards to the previous thread that a couple of people have enquired about, both the news story and the conversations around it have moved on, so we have decided not to re-publish. We're keeping in mind the guidelines provided by the CPS and we'd be very grateful for your co-operation in this regard.
