Firstly, please excuse the clickbait title.

I was wondering if anybody else shared my personal experience in that the most vocal feminists I've known have been treated like shit by men. Not before they became feminists but during and throughout their feminism.

I've lost count of the amount of women for whom the personal is definitely not political. I can hardly speak myself. If I had to describe my type it would be 'secret dickhead type.'

Are feminists more prone to dickhead type men or are we just more aware of the dickhead behavior of our men? Is it causal?

Loving this thread so much! I wish I had been seen the light about the penis glut as a young woman. Somehow it never did seem that way - always a fight between the girls for some lad or other.

Certainly arguing back rather than putting up with shit has worsened the abuse I've had from men inside and outside relationships.

I guess it depends on what you mean by 'cream'. The most intelligent, the most vociferous, the most passionate, the most compassionate, the most attractive?

Of those that I've ever been attracted to, I would say none were remarkable in any single aspect, they had just enough of each (in my eyes) to be compelling and unique in their own right.

Something just feels wrong about the cream attracting the cream, but I might be misinterpreting your meaning.
