Maybe the 9th is all you can eat at the local curry house? Or payday so theyre getting a takeaway? Periods come 4 weekly not on the same date each month ffs!

Honestly the thing that pisses me off most is the fact that they have been lying in bed all day, actual women can't take a day off to lie in bed each month with period pains ffs! We have to get on with it, I remember throwing up each month in the school toilets with period pain but I couldn't afford to take a day off school every 4 weeks. Imagine if every woman spent the day in bed when they had period cramps, the world would just stop.

And also the worrying lack of knowledge about female biology and how periods actually work, how little these people actually know about the female body.

TypicallyNorthern · 13/07/2018 18:30

I understand how they feel. Today I identified as a man and I had a massive boner for most of the day. Just because I don't have the apparatus doesn't mean it isn't so.

Takfujimoto · 13/07/2018 18:30

At what stage does someone have to become delusional enough to have MH intervention?

Because if this person actually believes this they need serious help.

Why do people ignore biological facts to this degree?

It's frightening tbh.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 13/07/2018 18:31

If this doesn't show that the new Genderists are not literally ripping the piss out of women, then I don't know what is.

FloralBunting · 13/07/2018 18:33

I identified as a man last night and woke up to discover I had ejaculated in my sleep and sheets were soaked.

Oh, sorry, no, that was a night sweat from perimenopause.

Noqont · 13/07/2018 18:34

😂😂😂

WaitrosePigeon · 13/07/2018 18:35

I don’t know whether to read it or not.

Ilikelotsofthinngs · 13/07/2018 18:36

I don't have periods thanks to my contraception.
I do sometimes feel like I should be on my period, moody tearful, heavy feeling in my tummy. I assume that is my natural hormones fluctuating as they would and interacting with the artificial ones.
I would never call this being on my period, how bizarre.
My actual periods involved horrible cramps, awful moods including temper tantrums and crying and blinding debilitating migraines. Oh yea and of course bleeding.
Wtf are these people on.
Surely the dose they take is constant throughout the month anyway.

SpartacusVonWaitrose · 13/07/2018 18:40

"It makes you feel so powerful!"

Uh huh. WIELD that power. Oh yeah. You show me.

homefromthehills · 13/07/2018 18:41

The gap between the real world of transsexuals, who would never believe this tosh, and the cuckoo land of some under this transgender umbrella is increasingly scary.

And it illustrates over and over why I keep saying that we should do what we can to make it easier and cheaper to get through the bureaucracy of the GRA - as requested - but the need for psychological assessment up front in never more obvious.

We must offer some kind of dose of reality instead of self propelled trips into la la land which if this is anything to go by will be the consequence of full DIY transitioning.

53rdWay · 13/07/2018 18:41

Well that’s just daft.

But if that person is stuck in bed with severe internal pain every month, they really need to see a doctor. That’s a bit worrying. Confused

AgathaF · 13/07/2018 18:42

Whatever next??

Quodlibet · 13/07/2018 18:43

My male friend and flat mate used to get hormonal fluctuations that made him grumpy and moody once a month. He totally acknowledged it; was worse than any woman's PMT that I've lived with.
So I can completely believe that male bodied people get monthly hormonal fluctuations.

BUT THAT IS NOT A PERIOD. A PERIOD IS WHEN YOUR WOMB SHEDS ITS LINING AND BLOOD COMES OUT OF YOUR VAGINA.

53rdWay · 13/07/2018 18:45

Pregnant women get fluctuating emotions and cramps. Guess that means they’re having periods too?

loveyouradvice · 13/07/2018 18:46

Creased me up.....Smile

CigarsofthePharoahs · 13/07/2018 18:48

Around the 10th every month? That's oddly specific. I wonder if that coincides with something else that might cause a crampy feeling?
Or they're just totally delusional.
You can't have a period of you don't have a uterus. My mum said it was one of the big benefits of a total hysterectomy. No periods, no hormonal fluctuations due to HRT…
Oh wait. I guess the rest of her internal organs forgot they were supposed to cramp as well.

FloralBunting · 13/07/2018 18:50

I'm wondering about the 10th, too. What a relief it must be when there's a five week month and they get an extra week of being period-free!

megletthesecond · 13/07/2018 18:53

I read that thread with my head in my hands.
Periods don't follow the calendar, like payday. And since I had a hysterectomy nothing cramps because there's nothing to cramp.

TheFemaleGaze · 13/07/2018 18:56

Wonder if endometriosis is next...?

ShapelyBingoWing · 13/07/2018 18:56

What a self indulgent crock of shit. I have a contraceptive implant. I still get monthly cramps and bloating but I don't bleed. I therefore don't have a period. Medically, when we talk about periods, we're talking about bleeding, not fucking abdominal discomfort. And I find the idea of not needing the correct physiology to have uterine cramps utterly bizarre.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 13/07/2018 18:58

Men have been mixing up PMT with actual periods for years. Even DH used to jokingly ask “aah, are you on your period?” if I was short-tempered about something. He stopped eventually when I explained the biological difference every single time.

The only thing this article shows is that the person who has written it is a man. Kinda the opposite of what they intended, I’m guessing. Grin

If they had written about PMT I could have half understood....

flourella · 13/07/2018 18:58

The fact that this person wrote Really this gets down to ppl wanting to think they're special & separate from nature and thought it was descriptive of us and not themselves Grin

DuggeesWoggle · 13/07/2018 18:59

Fairly sure I've seen this shared before, probably on here. Doesn't get any less bonkers on second reading though.

The most annoying and quite frankly offensive aspect of it for me is this transwoman seems preoccupied with explaining to us actual women how we know nothing about how periods really work. If that's not mansplaining I don't know what is.

Notevilstepmother · 13/07/2018 18:59

Will I be banned or censored if I express my personal opinion that this person is utterly delusional?

I’m not weak, angry, upset or a bigot. I just happen to think that the actual, science based definition of a period is when a uterus sheds its lining which exits the body via the vagina as blood.

I really don’t care what people wear, or what is or isn’t in their pants. Live your life as a woman if you want to. It’s your life. I don’t mind what you do, but I won’t stay quiet and be told I’m hateful becuase I don’t want to join in with the groupthink. It doesn’t make you a woman, and it doesn’t make you have periods. Since when did the truth constitute hate speech?
