Utterly delusional. No uterus = no period. Period.

Because the bleeding bit is so inconsequential. We don't have to worry about finding a loo to change our sanpro regularly, make sure we've always got spares on us in case we start a day or two early. I've got the implant now which is great because I don't have to worry about that stuff at the moment - I also don't have periods!

pombear · 13/07/2018 19:39

It's just occurred to me how quiet these type of threads are with counter opinions from some of the FWR regular posters. On so many other threads, familiar posters often appear by the third or fourth post to point out how females and the majority of posters on this board are wrong, biological sex is a social construct, transwomen are women. sex-segrated spaces are discriminatory, etc.

But it's like tumbleweed on these types of threads. Is it because the views highlighted are from the 'wrong type' of transwomen?

Weird how some threads are avoided completely.

OrchidInTheSun · 13/07/2018 19:39

Oh wow meowth! My periods have always been a very regimented 28 days. Now approaching menopause, they're being a bit more erratic. Most disconcerting

What I find weird about this thread is all the women saying 'oh wow, I didn't know that'. So socialised not to say 'what the hell are you talking about, you loonspud?'

"human physiology is largely plastic & interchangeable"

Aw, bless, they think we're all like Mr Potato Head.

I want to know what "other stuff" is meant to be cramping during a period, because I don't seem to get that. I got a bit of a leg cramp once, but I'm pretty sure that was from sleeping in an awkward position rather than because my lady hormones told my ladybrain that I should be cramping all over.

pearlkent · 13/07/2018 19:43

Where are the older transwomen complaining about menopause symptoms? Surely if they have "periods" they'd have the menopause too?

Windmillsinsummer · 13/07/2018 19:45

@Childrenofthestones actually phantom pains aren't entirely phycsiological that's as insulting to me as an amputee as it is to me as a women this trans period bullshit.
I once had a leg and a foot which my nerve endings still think is there transwomen have never had a womb to start with.

bigoldscaredycat · 13/07/2018 19:46

The 4000 woke idiots who have liked this tweet and collaborated in this person’s delusions should feel ashamed.

Superbirdtrooperbird · 13/07/2018 19:47

I actually just read a transwoman replying to someone on Quora, who said she was sad she'd never have a period but carried tampons and pads because that's what women do. She also said you could simulate the bleeding by making ice cubes with red dye and shoving them up your vag, so I'm assuming she's had reassignment surgery. What the actual ever fuck in the world? Why would you do that. Also, guessing frozen red dye isn't all that great a thing to put inside your actual body, especially as you're putting inside a part of you that didn't previously exist.

RachelfromFriends · 13/07/2018 19:49

I peaked

madcatladyforever · 13/07/2018 19:52

Wait for them to start getting uterus and ovary transplants, it could well happen.

waterlego6064 · 13/07/2018 19:57

I’ve just had a look at some of the replies on the full Twitter thread. There are quite a lot of very excited transwomen who are now looking forward to starting their periods, and are making a note to be especially nice to themselves during the time of the month etc.

I have given the OP a recommendation for SanPro.

MissSusanSays · 13/07/2018 19:59

But doesn’t this just typify how men do not have a clue about how the female body works, particularly around reproductive issues.

The level of biological ignorance is staggering.

And it is also incredibly misogynistic to reduce something that so dominates the lives of many women to a set of niggly little symptoms and dealing with heavy bleeding and cramps as by the by.

Women bleed as part of their reproductive cycle. It’s fine tuned process that involves many different organs and hormones. And it’sa damn sight more complex than a few cramps and a bit of bleeding and feeling a bit sad.

How dismissive of the struggle women face with reproductive issues and the stigma around periods and women’s bodily functions.

The is misogyny. This is womanhood reduced to pantomime.

waterlego6064 · 13/07/2018 19:59

It’s all part of this idea that they have got from films about ‘all girls together’, having pillow fights, discussing periods, crying etc.

FOR FUCKS SAKE.

waterlego6064 · 13/07/2018 20:01

Look at Tortle Boy here. It’s a wonder he can find his way out of bed in the mornings.

Doobigetta · 13/07/2018 20:03

I heard the whole article in the voice of Eric Cartman. I recommend it.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 20:05

ppl have such a hard time understanding that other parts of the body besides the uterus are involved in period cramping

No, it's not hard to understand at all. I can clearly see that this person is having quite a severe brain cramp while writing this gibberish.

Where are the older transwomen complaining about menopause symptoms

On here. At least one transwoman has explained how badly they were affected by the menopause.

Of course, they were no such thing. It turned out that "badly affected by the menopause" meant "had six months of experimentation with oestrogen that made me feel a bit odd sometimes".

It was as risible as it was appropriative and clueless. this person also did not take kindly to me, someone who has been through menopause, that six months of slightly-odd-on-hormones is nothing to most women.

Momo18 · 13/07/2018 20:11

She lost me at 'natural cycle', nothing natural about trans hormones..

BitOutOfPractice · 13/07/2018 20:14

If these "symptoms" happen on the 10th of every month, then their body must comply to the gregorian calendar to take into account February with 28 days and others of varying length. That's convenient isn't it?

FrenchDucksSayCoinCoin · 13/07/2018 20:20

I’d like to comment, but unfortunately I’m unwell with pneumonia. I have all the symptoms apart from inflammation of my alveoli.

bd67th · 13/07/2018 20:26

It’s very interesting to me that a huge percentage of female patients have no idea what a cervix is, let alone where it is, nor what a smear test is.

Which is why we all objected when CRUK removed "women" from their pages about smear tests and gynae cancers.

thornyhousewife · 13/07/2018 20:26

God this poor person. They need intensive psychiatric care.

Adjusts hot water bottle on pelvis

tinytemper66 · 13/07/2018 20:26

Men,even men who believe they are now women, can't have periods! End of! Don't give a shit if this is seen as a phobic comment!

ADastardlyThing · 13/07/2018 20:37

I actually feel really sorry for this person too. They are clearly extremely unwell.

bd67th · 13/07/2018 20:44

@superbirdtrooperbird She also said you could simulate the bleeding by making ice cubes with red dye and shoving them up your vag, so I'm assuming she's had reassignment surgery. What the actual ever fuck in the world? Why would you do that. Also, guessing frozen red dye isn't all that great a thing to put inside your actual body, especially as you're putting inside a part of you that didn't previously exist.

And . Even though said female has . The lack of recognition that the delusions of some trans women have nothing in common with the reproductive health problems that females experience is startling.

LemnisKate · 13/07/2018 20:45

Progesterone can give you terrible stomach cramps. Maybe other synthetic hormones do too. When I was having IVF and taking progesterone I had horrible cramping pains. Not a period. Not the same as a period. Not better, not worse, just a completely different thing. Just like being a trans woman is not the same as being a biological woman. Not better, not worse, just a completely different thing.
