@UglyCathKidstonBag I'd noticed that too. It's no coincidence - because if you can be gender fluid, what's to stop you being age fluid? And I'm sure you can see where that line of thinking goes.

Believeitornot · 13/07/2018 17:47

It’s not a period. They’re not actually menstruating as per the medical definition.

So, sorry but no. If people want to identify as a woman, fine. That doesn’t make them biologically female.

AmazingPostVoices · 13/07/2018 17:47

But, but, but the hormones don’t trigger the pain they trigger contraction of the uterus in order to dispel the lining of the uterus.

So without a uterus, no contractions, therefore no cramps.

What am I missing? The article said naysayers are dismissing the science - what science am
I allegedly missing?

ReevaDiva · 13/07/2018 17:47

Sometimes @UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername then I remember how utterly fuckwitted these people are and I take comfort from that.

We'll still be here when they've fucked off to be all woke and angry about some other pile of blithering drivel.

Oliversmumsarmy · 13/07/2018 17:47

What happens when they go through menopause. How would they tell?

NoNotheresnolyrics · 13/07/2018 17:49

Shit for fucking brains

PsychoPumpkin · 13/07/2018 17:52

‘Apart from one symptom’. They mean that the don’t bleed? Which is a pretty fundamental symptom of a period isn’t it?

Whatever hormonal symptoms Transwomen experience, it’s not a period.

MrsBertBibby · 13/07/2018 17:52

Dear me.

pombear · 13/07/2018 17:52

Quote from the unrolled 'transwoman's' thread Yes, we are aware that the cramps we get are not our uteruses. They're just from ALL THE OTHER STUFF THAT CRAMPS ON YOUR PERIOD.

Erm?. Urh? Erm? Uh-okay. Not sure what else is having to cramp - seeing as it's only the uterus that has to cramp to expel the lining of the uterus.

Someone needs to refresh the NHS film about the menstrual cycle with this new information because it seems to be bizarrely centred around the female organs that cause the menstrual cycle www.nhs.uk/conditions/periods/ Quick! Include the other organs that are cramping because of...hormone stuff!

And someone should really swiftly address their page on what causes menstrual cramps www.nhs.uk/conditions/period-pain/ because that seems to be focused on, well, the uterus. That cramps. Because of that egg & lining & 'not pregnant' thing that goes on each month.

What other part of the body do these people think is cramping and expelling stuff? Is it the bowel cramping? Expelling the sperm that didn't sadly make its way to find an egg that way? Is it the stomach cramping because it feels sad that it can't make a baby each month by eating stuff?

I wish I was asking these questions just for fun, as all of them are crazy, but I've seen biological women 'ahh, hunning' trans people and sympathising with their 'monthly pain'.

Reality has disappeared up the arse of postmodern thinking - and is now giving the said arse 'cramps' every month!

SophoclesTheFox · 13/07/2018 17:54

Nope.

BettyDuMonde · 13/07/2018 17:54

No uterus = no uterine lining = no period.

I have no trouble believing that synthetic hormones can mess with your moods/energy levels/appetite, but that’s not a period.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 13/07/2018 17:54

To be fair - I'd rather delusions about periods than actually slicing ball sacks to imitate periods or using women's old tampons and - well - it's tea time I don't want to go into what happens.

And yes - I have screenshots.

ReevaDiva · 13/07/2018 17:55

I saw people replying going 'my thighs/legs/bum cramp too.

Yes but where does it fucking originate from? It's like trying to argue with a duck that's had ten pints and never went to school. Just fucking pointless.

PissedOffWoman · 13/07/2018 17:56

Woman menstruate because of their natural bodies hormonal fluctuations. We experience menstrual cramps because our bodies are sheding the uterine lining as it is no longer required each month when we are not pregnant. The cramps are causes by our uteruses contracting to push the lining out, through our vaginas to leave our bodies. We bleed.

I feel real pity for these trans women who seem to really want to believe that they too are experiencing periods (just without the bleeding). What body part exactly do they think is causing the cramping/ period pains?

Then I read the words they write towards women, the way they regard us, dismiss our experience of menstruation and I don't.

CantankerousCamel · 13/07/2018 17:57

My bowel seems awfully crampy around my period

But that’s of course to do with the fact that 30% of internal organs are in a state of flux

UglyCathKidstonBag · 13/07/2018 18:00

It’s very interesting to me that a huge percentage of female patients have no idea what a cervix is, let alone where it is, nor what a smear test is.
And about (as a conservative estimate) 30% of women I have treated in over a decade have zero idea of what a period is and how or why menstruation occurs. They know it is bad when it doesn’t shows up but they don’t know even the scientific basics.

A good chunk of women think they are losing their entire womb with every period “like after having a baby”, lots think it is to stop them having sex to “give their vagina a rest”. These women have no idea and they will truly believe Followers of Genderism when they say that individuals born male and transition are biologically capable of menstruating.
(Most people however think a trans woman is a woman “becoming” a man).

And now we have cancer charities cutting these women off from campaigns re cervical screening and people born men claiming to have period.

This alienates women even further from their anatomy, their health, their rights and their safety. This is the mass revocation of power and control of women’s bodies.

MNHQ I use “born male” here with scientific reason. This is not meant to insult this is so we aren’t beating round the bush when dealing with basic scientific and medical fact.

PissedOffWoman · 13/07/2018 18:00

@ReevaDiva "It's like trying to argue with a duck that's had ten pints and never went to school. Just fucking pointless.

Best comment I've read all day.

ReevaDiva · 13/07/2018 18:01

@UglyCathKidstonBag that's very interesting. I was hounded off of Twitter recently for complaining about that ad that said 'If you have a cervix get a smear'.

One of my reasons was that not everyone knows they have a cervix! But also the trans thing tbf...

Superbirdtrooperbird · 13/07/2018 18:02

Sweet jesus, I thought I'd heard it all....

RebelRogue · 13/07/2018 18:02

Oh FFS next you know they'll self diagnose with PCOS to justify the lack of bleeding.HmmHmm

VickyEadie · 13/07/2018 18:03

But, but, but the hormones don’t trigger the pain they trigger contraction of the uterus in order to dispel the lining of the uterus.

So without a uterus, no contractions, therefore no cramps.

Do you think a transman would get taken seriously if they started a thread saying they thought they might have prostate cancer?

BeyondRadicalisationPortal · 13/07/2018 18:05

Someone argued it's because of the progesterone they take. No you fucking bellend, it is the drop in progesterone that causes a period, not the progesterone itself 🙄

3DSpex · 13/07/2018 18:05

A period without blood? I've heard it all now.

Assuming the next thing will be having hysterectomies without a womb. Poor lambs Hmm.

MrsFogi · 13/07/2018 18:06

I had to come back to this thread - I can't help but worry that these chaps may get pregnant if they are not careful. To voice this and to ensure they have the full womanly experience they will no doubt be clamouring for their GP/local clinic to insert a coil via their female penis as soon as possible.
