Whoop!

I'm pretty sure Hadley's here Wink

I really wish I hadn't seen Munroe Bergdorf's response to this. If anyone fancies lifting their blood pressure: https://twitter.com/munroebergdorf/status/980163597836963841?s=21

"a vagina does not make anyone more or less of a woman." AngryAngryAngry

Tackytriceratops · 31/03/2018 20:47

I don't really get the intersectional stuff; if you're saying there are different groups within feminism and some have different issues/ oppressions etc, surely you can recognise the wider arch of actual original natal women and the way their biology can disadvantage them and then also recognise how the patriarchy disadvantages many people irrespective of their sex, 'gender' what ever the fuck else?!

And as a tweet says, where in the article is there any transphobia??

OP posts:
HairyBallTheorem · 31/03/2018 21:05

Munroe is wrong: having female reproductive biology (whether functional or not) is all that makes one a woman. Not thinking womanly thoughts, not having womanly feelings, not behaving in ways male dominated society has decided are womanly, not dressing in a womanly way, not having a womanly soul.

Women (barring a tiny handful with anatomical abnormalities) have vaginas, men do not. It really is as simple as that.

theoldruggedcross · 31/03/2018 21:13

Just adding congratulations.

Interesting times!

This:
“Why aren’t the woke lefty dude bros starting an ‘I’ll piss with you’ or ‘I’ll undress with you’ campaign if they are so concerned with transphobia in men’s facilities then?”

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 31/03/2018 21:22

Time to break out this little gem from Lily Maynard again. Someone should show Munroe, as Munroe seems to be hard of thinking on this.

This 'intersectional' stuff is total bollocks and appropriation too. People have come out of black women, Muslim women, disabled women, lesbian women, all sorts of women.

No one has ever come out of a transwoman.

Meh, I guess Munroe would say it's irrelevant.

Guardian and manfriday! Finally, thanks Hadley!

Just seen the tweet from OJ. If he's mystified, he should ask his editor while near enough every single one of his articles is open for comments on a weekly basis, but his "History will judge you" one in December wasn't.

MamehaSan · 31/03/2018 22:20

One of my (male) friends has just shared Hadley's article on FB. He's had a few "likes" but I've just outed myself as being GC by commenting on his post. Even if it makes only a few more people aware of what's going on it will be worth it.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 31/03/2018 22:25

London young labour have tweeted that transwomen have a 1 in 12 chance of being murdered. That isn't true is it, at all? It's a blatant lie, propaganda.

If you’re reading, Hadley - thank you.

I'm sure other people will know the figures but even if that were true, they're not being murdered by feminists.

So take it up with the men, London Young Labour. They're your real problem.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/03/2018 22:58

Some stats here:

fairplayforwomen.com/trans-murder-rates/

needmorespace · 31/03/2018 23:07

And I 100% agree that the issue is no longer between women and transwomen. It used to be, before the madness, but now it's entirely up to men to make space for these different kind of men.

Ironically, I posted a comment on a recent piece in the Guardian saying similar and it was removed.

Slowly, slowly...

cuirderussie · 31/03/2018 23:07

I'm depressed at the comments on the Guardian FB page. They are deeply, deeply, moronically stupid. And what is it with all these young English studenty types talking about "gross" "transphobic trash", they really have ingested US style identity politics haven't they?

cheminotte · 31/03/2018 23:29

Thank you for this brilliant article Hadley.

20nil · 31/03/2018 23:35

Thank you SO much.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 01/04/2018 07:33

Thanks Errol! Flowers

namastayinbed · 01/04/2018 07:37

Thanks for being brave Hadley. Great article . I'd given up on the Guardian but maybe I should give it a go again.

Mner · 01/04/2018 07:58

Love it!

lovetheway · 01/04/2018 10:07

Hadley, my love for her just grows and grows. And they can fuck off with their BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS. The only time I've had blood on my hands was a really heavy period #cisprivilege

vagina does not make anyone more or less of a woman."

Funny how none of them are quite as keen to add "And not having a penis doesn't make you less of a man". Because, as male supremacists, they knows that's not true - which is why they hang onto them Angry

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 01/04/2018 10:11

I refuse to even click on crap like this. Its toxic transphobia. I am writing a proper paper letter to the @guardian about this and demanding a full page apology.

This tweet is one of the funniest things I have ever read.

A proper paper letter? Wow, that is hardcore. Grin

This person is writing to demand a full-page apology for an article that they haven't read?

Let us know how that goes for you mate.

Loving how these people are demonstrating Hadley's point perfectly.

EliseC1965 · 01/04/2018 11:15

Yup. I had to reply. I might be getting some hate coming my way later. twitter.com/eliseo65/status/980384097175506944?s=21

YourVagesty · 01/04/2018 13:00

Woke up thinking about Hadley's article and also OJ and Bromentum. I wonder, now that the lefty bible has allowed publication of a piece that cuts through the bullshit, does this indicate a tipping point? I'd love to know what's going on in OJ's cocky little head right now.
