I've got very mixed feelings. On the one hand - go everyone! They'll have to take notice - surely?

There are a number of reasons people are leaving the party as well as this.

Brexit and anti semitism for starters.

It is amazingly conflicted. Depends how much of a swing policy it is for you.

Honestly? I’d take No Brexit over pretty much anything. For example.

But are we able to frame our issue as something other than niche?

In general yes, but this latest drop is ALL women.

It won't change how I vote - I'm voting tactically to get the Tories out, whoever that is. But I feel lost politically - I'm a lifelong Labour supporter and It's not just the issue but the way they've dealt with it that's just so disappointing.

This coincidenced with a week which had the biggest drop in Labour membership since JC became leader. It was written off as non renewals over Brexit.

It was the same week as the suspension of women Labour party members in the witchhunt.

There is something going on imo, which yougov seem to have spotted. Yet no other fucker in the media is really picking up on.

Until the mainstream starts asking questions about this then Labour will continue with their bullshit.

I don't think this is a blip either.

Obviously the leadership thought they could get away with pissing on our leg and telling us it's raining one more time.

But who the hell do you defect to? All the political parties (including the sodding WEP FFS) are on the self-ID train.

It's fairly clear, for many reasons, that Labour don't care about women. But it's not like anyone else does.

Community ownership of utilities is not left wing. It was the way it always was until Thatcher. I think even she thought privatisation of we water was a step too far. My 89 year old lifelong Tory voter agrees with labour on renationalisation.

The Tories have at least paused for thought. It's a pity Justine Greening has gone, IME - she had started to backtrack from self-ID, a policy she inherited from Maria Miller in the first place.

I have never even contemplated voting Tory and am vehemently pro-Remain, but nothing is more important to me than women's rights. If the Tories maintain the pause on self-ID, I may have to hold my nose and vote - very reluctantly - for them.

I am one of those women that Labour have lost. It came on the back of my #PeakTrans moment when I finally realised I just couldn't do it any more. As a lifelong Labour supporter (courtesy of my lifelong Labour dad) the final straw was the AWS debacle.

I'm politically homeless now. If there was a GE this year I'd be torn between not voting at all or spoiling my vote. That is NOT who I want to be.

In other news, of all people, it seems Amber Rudd may be our best bet after her finishing remarks on the Marr show:

Amber Rudd sounded fairly cautious about self-ID on the Andrew Marr show the other week.

No way will I ever vote Tory. Among many, many other reasons, they have several policies are anti-woman.

Plus people like Jacob Rees Mogg.

Half the brogressives are putting this down to Brexit! Morons. Of course, all the little women have suddenly got upset about Brexit in the last fortnight, just at the moment the party embroils itself in nastiness over self-ID.

Brogressives have the political acuity of a wet lettuce and the smugness of that kid with the helicopter mum everyone hated at school.

The Labour Party leaving figures are also likely the tip of the iceberg because Labour don't remove you from their membership list until you are six months in arrears with subs. So if you've left recently and all you did was cancel your direct debit, it'll take them a while to catch up.

Surely labour will have to pay attention now?

Women are peak transing daily thanks in large part to the measured debate of gender critical women as well as the increasingly concerning behaviour and demands of the trans activists.

But, I don't think I could ever vote labour again. I thought they were a party with principles (naive I know). I expected other parties to go for the 'popular' vote...but labour!? At the very least I expected respectful engagement with concerned women, but all I have seen is virtue signaling and refusal to even acknowledge that there is a real issue here!

Don't get me started on the madigan thing and the group to expel women from the party...labour is allowing the sluring and demonisation of gender critical women who refuse to capitulate to a belief system!

This poll may spur an acknowledgement for women's concerns and hopefully an evidence based consultation will ensue...but for me, the damage has been done. I am so disappointed.

If Labour lose the election over this I'm going to be fucking furious. But how can any of us vote for them with Corbyn committed to reopening the GRA "reform"? Heads the TRAs and the assholes pushing austerity win, tails everyone else loses.

I'm clinging on as a Labour member. But I've told my CLP very clearly that I won't be voting for them at the next election unless the position on self-ID changes. I've also written to the relevant shadow ministers to tell them the same thing.

I don't want to vote for anyone else but I will if I have to. 5 more Tory years is a horrendous prospect but it's better than women's rights removed in perpetuity (I won't be voting Tory either unless they are specific about being anti self-ID).

This is the worst, most painful political decision I've ever had to make in my life. But I won't change it. I will not vote for any party supporting self-ID.

I will not vote for labour at the point purely because of the likes of Lily Madigan.

Women have been bullied into silence over this but the sheer beauty of the voting booth means we will have our true voice.

It's good news for the tories, nothing else. It's certainly not good news for women, we're the ones who are most negatively affected by their austerity policies. It really pisses me off to see women here on mn saying they will vote for tories purely because of one issue (trans). Great for you if you belong to the lucky few who haven't been nearly destroyed by years of real term cuts. Not so great for anyone else. You may feel politically lost but please look at a wider range of policies before deciding who to support.
