I was all 'I am too privileged, what do I know' and all 'let everyone be whoever they want'. Didn't question non-binary gender and trans stuff as it wasn't my place. Even the furore about transwoman wanting to be in womens prison, even though in prison for assault and still had ladydick. TRAs knew better than me what's best.
It was couple of years ago that my childrens' primary school did Diversity Week. Teaching kids same sex marriages and there was ' if you're not sure if you're a boy or a girl, there are people at school to help you. There are books and leaflets too'.
Thought that was a bit too much to fill my 7 year olds head with, easier him to figure it all as he had diverse enough friends anyway.
Trans on kids made me freak a bit out and reading poor parents writing about their autistic kids joining trans web cult and turning against their parents...it scared me.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie being called TERF when she sounded reasonable about shared experience. No platforming #nodebate #transphobe etc. Transwomen are women, women are ciswomen was getting too far.
Now discussions here about GRA - I'm all in. Time to call naked emperor naked emperor!
