Although I don't post very often, I do want to say that I think it's very unfair on the event organisers that people are planning to send messages, even pms, that even vaguely identifies the venue or the area it's in.
WPUK are going to enormous efforts to avoid confrontation and enable the meeting to go ahead as planned, and it seems very unhelpful that discussions about organising meeting places are being had on a public forum.
This meeting will likely be more on TRAs radar than others, simply because it's in central London. As attendees, I think the right thing to do will be to respect the request form WPUK to not divulge the address/approx location in anyway on a public forum or via pm to people you don't know personally tbh.
It's looking to be quite a large event. Anywhere in central London will have lots of people around early evening during the week.
I think the safest thing to do for people who would prefer to approach the venue with others would be to hover in the nearby streets with an identifying something - penis beaker placard, packet of Pom bears, carnation or something else and find each other that way.
Honestly. The moment the venue is announced, they'll face pressure to pull out. That's what's happened at every other event. This information will get out and it's unfair and unhelpful to compromise WPUK's hard work in this way.
Okay, my two cents worth. Rant over.
