Because lot of people on twitter appear to think that women piss out of their vaginas.

So with that particular piece of 'advanced biology', what happens with a newly constructed vagina?

And er. maybe some will be disappointed with the plumbing?

Ha, we should get on. Is there an endomembranesystem I should know about?

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 04/07/2019 13:10

Yes, it’s always the assumption that we just need to understand or be educated then of course, we’d see how wrong we all are about it.

Whereas the opposite is true. I've lost track of the number of new posters on FWR who became gender critical precisely because they'd investigated TRA claims.

That's where the expression "peak trans" comes from. It's the moment when - after nodding along to genderist bollocks - you suddenly go WTAF? and the whole thing sort of flips over. Then you realize you've got a whole lot of questions.

It was the Cotton Ceiling for me. Many years ago now.

People move from uncritical acceptance to gender critical. I haven't yet seen it happen the other way round.

Thanks ereshkigal

Has the Dunning Kruger of female physiology given up on us? Shame.

I’m still waiting for my menopause to grow me some bollocks and make me care about the offside rule. Is that how it works?

Datun · 04/07/2019 13:54

Great post golgiapparatus

It is telling, I think, that the menopause, with its slipping away of much of society's enforced sexualisation of the female body, is seen by TRA as a failure of femininity. Because what they see of femaleness isn't based on biology or lived experience. They see the brittle artifice of 'woman face'.

Yes, it's very telling. And transparent, too, with their ageist insults that invariably crop up.

It's a very alien concept, certainly to me, that post menopause isn't every bit as female as every other age. In fact, in a way more so. More time, more confidence, far fewer fucks to give. It's incredibly liberating. And, to employ a word that is often misused for women, rather empowering.

My friend transitioned (M to F) in early adulthood. I only met her after transition. She died suddenly, aged 40, from a massive stroke. The doctors were of the opinion that the cause was the hormones she had been taking for years.
On the death certificate the sex was recorded as Male. This is the legal requirement.
It is sad on so many levels, but the truth is inescapable, and she made her choices. I hope she was honestly informed of all the risks at the time she transitioned.
She was a nice person and I am sorry her life was cut short.
I worry about this generation of children and adolescents who are being sold a fantasy, and a dangerous one at that.

DuMondeB · 04/07/2019 19:44

I have an MtF friend who had to stop cross sex hormones after suffering a massive heart attack, but survived, thankfully.
