Does the fact that MTFs are victimizers in these obscenely violent criminal acts more frequently than they are victims change how lawmakers will see their claims of eternal victimhood? I doubt it. How many male murderers will have to be given elective surgery at taxpayer expense and housed with women (far less likely to be in prison for violent crime) before someone takes a long, hard look at the reality of the situation?

They may have passed out due to sleep deprivation. I've been keeping odd hours due to being ill and having messed up sleep patterns. As far as I can tell 4 was up all night Friday/Saturday (to the point where I began to wonder if they were on the west coast of the USA) then posting most of yesterday and a lot of today. That's either monomania or tag-team posting - multiple people sharing an account.

Been reading this thread for ages, but got to this part and clicked on, most transactivists would say feminist4 was a huge transphobe anyway, with the insistence that trans people are 'born in the wrong body' and such.

This thread has read just..wrong. Absolutely no way a parent of a trans child, worried about the false suicide stats that stonewall mermaids and all parrot..and when presented with stats that say trans children do not have a high suicide risk at all (though ANY child committing suicide is obviously a tragedy) get MAD about the stats and try to discredit them. You would be relieved, surely, not pissed off?!

I was very interested in exploring the Cartesian dualism thing. The brain is a on organ, made of the same biological elements, every brain cell encoded by the same chromosomes. So 'woman's brain' in a man's body is nonsensical. We all have our own brains which is a part of our body. Our brains develop in response to stimuli absorbed through the body. Neuroplasticity is a thing.

Now, if you want to talk about 'mind' or personality then that's a different - more philosophical - discussion.

I agree, you can't have a female brain in a male body. You brain is build inutero using your genetic code as a blue print.

Your genetic code specifies whether you are male or female, so unless you have female genes I. E XX, you can't have a female brain.

The only way it makes sense is if you argue for a female soul. But then you need to prove that a soul excisits, which most people don't believe.

I know the thread has moved on, but I just want to make a comment about this. Describing someone as a Luddite does not make the point that is intended. I know it's commonplace to view the Luddites as fuddy-duddies who didn't want to get with the times, but actually, they weren't against modern technology, they were against the effects it had on working class people. They didn't want to lose their jobs, or have one but with poor pay and horrendous working conditions. In effect, they were fighting for the rights of working class people to have decent pay and labour rights. So by describing people as Luddites you are actually criticising them for standing up for themselves against exploitation and the removal of their rights.
