Brilliant! I am Jenni Murray. I hope this is the beginning of the end for the silencing of women's voices relating to transgender issues. Hurray.

Ms. Murray's article was extremely thoughtful, courteous and calm (yet assertive) in the way it was written. She was absolutely the right person to speak out about this.

Shall I tell you what strikes me about this Pink News article? It talks about Jenni Murray, and then starts talking about Germaine Greer, deliberately trying to use the most hardline rhetoric that Greer has ever used. (FWIW, I disagree with some of the language Greer used, but would absolutely defend here against being no-platformed or censored--she still has the right to speak).

And yet I checked Jenni Murray's article, and the only reference she makes to Germaine Greer is to distance herself from some of Greer's rhetoric. So why is Pink News trying to wheel in as much GG stuff as possible in an article which is supposed to be about JM, implying that they are basically the same thing, and trying to confuse the reader into thinking that their statements and views are exactly the same? It's so deceitful and disingenuous.

I guess the Pink News people read JM's very composed and calmly-worded article, were disappointed, and decided to spice their own article up by sticking in loads of statements that were actually made by a different feminist, assuming that most of their readers would assume there was basically no difference.

(I should probably add that while I disagree with some things Germaine Greer has said, I also appreciate and admire her courage in being assertive enough to stick to her convictions in the face of intolerance.)

I went to a talk by Germaine Greer back when I was at Uni- so circa 1999 or 2000 and I remember her addressig this issue then and me thinking it was a bit of a non issue. Times have certainly changed but a calm and rational discussion is sorely needed. Thank you Jenni Murray

As I live in a place more concerned with colour and inequality issues, the whole trans issue stuff has left me bemused and bewildered at times.
I honestly don't know what cis means, could someone please tell me, thanks.
