Shock

I mean... just wow... I can't find the words right now.

I won't be placing any more orders with RI, that's for sure.

meditrina · 06/05/2014 12:57

You get "oops product not found"

Did it definitely exist? (Not disbelieving you OP, but there are so many hoaxes).

scallopsrgreat · 06/05/2014 12:58

Oh yes it dehinitely existed. It was all over Twitter yesterday.

meditrina · 06/05/2014 13:00

Thanks!

I've now also found this Telegraph article

How could anyone ever have thought this was a good idea? It beggars belief.

HoneyDragon · 06/05/2014 13:01

It's very unusual for me to decide to boycott a store because of a product they sell.

That's just done though.

Lottapianos · 06/05/2014 13:03

Oh FFS how revolting. What sort of muppet thought this would be a good idea? I would like to hear River Island's explanation for why this is being sold

BomChickaMeowMeow · 06/05/2014 13:05

What does the bottom one say? "It's your turn to do the dishes!"

Far be it for men to have to do something round the house. Putting their clothes away, emptying bins and loading the dishwasher. High demands indeed.

redandchecker · 06/05/2014 13:09

I'm shocked!!! What were they thinking

RustyParker · 06/05/2014 13:11

Hideous idea and appalled by the imagery, it looks like s&m blow up doll.

But then, this is a company where "RiRi" fronts a range of clothing.

SingSongSlummy · 06/05/2014 13:18

It looks like they've now taken the product off the site, but there's still the fact that someone senior at River Island thought it was an appropriate product to stock. I mean WFT were they thinking. I, for one, will be keeping well clear of their stores and letting other people know that this is something that they found acceptable!

OP posts:
SingSongSlummy · 06/05/2014 13:20

Apparently the product will also be removed from their stores "soon". Lovely. Shock

OP posts:
DebbieOfMaddox · 06/05/2014 13:26

"As soon as this product was brought to our attention we withdrew it from sale and removed it from our website."

What? Did it not attract their attention when it was ordered, paid for, entered into the online database or shipped to and stocked by all their branches?

TwelveLeggedWalk · 06/05/2014 13:27

This was all over my twitter when I logged in this morning.

As was this, far more disturbing (if believeable) from Metro Which is STILL online Hmm

TessOfTheFurbyvilles · 06/05/2014 14:23

@Debbie - I was thinking the same thing. "As soon as this product was brought to our attention...."

So it somehow magically appeared in the stores, and for sale online did it, and no-one knew anything about it.

Beggars belief.

KittyandTeal · 06/05/2014 14:28

Could MN start selling the opposite awful, stereotypical man version 'wank sock'. Because if all women are nags then all men are sex pests.

mazupam · 06/05/2014 14:44

I never heard of this until I saw this post. I want to buy one!

  1. ‘Eating fried chicken before a blow job. Pretty much the worst taste imaginable.’

Not sure I get this one, how does eating fried chicken make ones penis taste bad??

FairPhyllis · 06/05/2014 14:48

It's also very unusual for me to boycott a shop on the basis of one product. But this is so egregiously awful that I will be doing just that from now on.

Women must be their core customers. Are they stupid? Do they think we are stupid?

I saw on twitter that the Metro were doing a request for similar 'hilarious' scenarios on things Women do in Bed...

Wonder if that article will be as disturbing.

I just skimmed through that metro article, but the point of it seemed to be a feminist man-bashing article trying to make men out to be disgusting pigs who don't wash etc etc

If a man wrote an article making a list about women which included things like women's vaginas smelling of rotten fish etc etc he would prob be fired.

btw both genders can be victims or perps of sexual assault.
