Apologies if there has already been a thread on this.

Bj strap

I actually don't know what to say about this.

This thread is years old and inactive. If you've found this page in search of Ann Summers products that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best Ann Summers sex toys useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ 💐

So is that ok or not? Is it bad because the man is in control? Or good because it helps the woman to be more comfortable?

The blurb is less patronising...so if I imitate their blurb which goes like this

Do you love having sex "doggie style" but find that at times it can be tactically difficult? Do you get tired of supporting yourself on your hands and knees with your partner behind you? Not sure where to put your hands without flattening your partner to the bed? The Doggie Style Strap will help make this classic position more fun for everyone

And re-write the Ann Summers blurb to match thus

"Do you find giving blowjobs a chore because you get neck ache? The BJ Strap could be just what you need! Let your partner do the hard work and relax whilst sharing the pleasure of oral sex!"

IS that the same? Worse? Better?

What I'm asking is this...is it all in the marketing?

Birdsgottafly · 21/03/2012 00:26

If a women deigns to put a penis in her mouth, or anything, she should have full control of it

Unless she wants to give up that control. I agree with others who say that this product should be available in mainstream sex shops, for those women who want to buy it.

Bondage has nothing to do with abuse. Ann Summers sells other soft core bondage equipment.

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:27

Sorry...here's the link to the doggy style strap again www.smittenkittenonline.com/sex-furniture-pick-your-position/doggie-style-strap.html that's what I'm rambling about.

qo · 21/03/2012 00:27

AwkwardMary, maybe you're "not allowed" to enjoy it if you're a feminist?

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:30

qo But what if you do? What if you always have? And you are a Feminist?

Chirpychick2010 · 21/03/2012 00:31

Awkwrd for me it looks like the woman has no control over how far or what tactics she uses not to mention it looks a little degrading having something stuck round your head holding you in place. Not a thread would normally post on but cant sleep!

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 00:32

I dont like it personally

But no one is forcing anyone to buy it.

If an adult willingly wants to buy it then that is their private choice.

qo · 21/03/2012 00:33

I dont, but I'm sure a lot of people do - I was just trying to highlight the fact that your (valid imo) questions seemed to be side-stepped.

Why exactly is the product vile? Because the indivisula posters think so? Whatever happened to personal choice?

Birdsgottafly · 21/03/2012 00:33

Chirpy- you have just summed up why it appeals to some, both men and women.

If i go and buy this poduct with the money that i have earned and then tell my DP that we are using it can anyone explain how i am being abused?

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:33

I mean for me sex is great...love it, I like it to be varied though. I don't always want soft, loving sex...that would bore the pants off me. Sometimes it's great to have sex like a fight! It just IS. I like being in control and I like being out of control...for me it's a very base thing at times.

I am lucky to be married to an amazing man, with whom I can experiement. We enjoy all sorts of sex and I am a Feminist. So am I wrong to do this?

I need some of the people who have strong feelings about this product to tell me why it's so wrong for me or any woman who LIKES feeling out of control sometimes, to enjoy that?

qo · 21/03/2012 00:37

Thankfully the tables of this conversation appear to be turning - birdsgottafly put it better than I ever could.

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:37

Thank you qo for your explanation and for asking why nobody has answered my questions! Smile

Chirpychick2010 · 21/03/2012 00:38

Awkward No one can tell you that you are wrong to like being out of control as long as you both know what your doing and consent. Just because you have strong feminist beliefs does not mean anything other with regards to what you do in the bedroom Smile

LeBOF · 21/03/2012 00:42

I don't know anybody who enjoys vomiting over their partner's penis. And luckily, although I've known men who've enjoyed being given a blow-job, I don't know any who would get pleasure from forcing one and basically using a woman's face as a fuck hole.

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:42

Well then why the spitting fury? Confused Isn't it my right to have a sex toy that allows me to lose control? I've never seen those before...if they pull them I will be forced to fashion myself one. Probably out of an old tea towel which wont' look as nice and may chafe.

qo · 21/03/2012 00:43

Just because you don't personally know anyone LeBof, doesn't mean they don't exsist

LadyBeagleEyes · 21/03/2012 00:43

What Bof said.

Starwisher · 21/03/2012 00:44

AkwardMary

Just turn a sleeping mask around the other way!

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:44

x posts LeBOF I have never vommed on my partners penis. My vagina is my vagina and is sometimes a fuck hole....so is his arse and my mouth...usually my mouth is not a fuck hole though. Does that make me abused?

I like getting fucked.

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:45

"Fuck hole" is a phrase designed to make fucking sound bad. It's not.

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:46

It's not "real" forcing either LeBOF it's all an act you know. Grin

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 21/03/2012 00:47

Because it is peddling the same old shit that the man's pleasure is what is important.

Forget a woman wanting to do a selfless act for her partner, on her terms, to give him pleasure.

He has to be in control because we must worship at the altar of the cock.

But it's OK, ladies, your hair will remain attractive.

TheSinglePringle · 21/03/2012 00:49

Awkward Have to say that 'doggy style strap' seems like a good idea Grin

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:51

Bitter No....it's not...what about the pleasure I get from a bj like that?

AwkwardMary · 21/03/2012 00:53

And what about if it is MUTUAL and the roles are interchangable Bitter? What if a couple varies who is "in charge"? How is the product bad then?
