Just spotted it in the In The News section, which I've had hidden for ages since all the BNP threads, but that's by-the-by...

OMFG...

Have Munich Re made a statement about the story?

I think they need to.

vesuvia · 20/05/2011 15:54

DilysPrice, thanks for clarifying.

I wonder how these same men can have sex with these prostitutes then go home and see their wives and daughters. I am assuming that these men aren't all single. Obviously prostitutes are NEVER wives or daughters.

This section would get more traffic and would do more to educate if people's posts wern't picked over. I read Molly's post as being completely sympathetic and didn't think she actually meant the women were happy or "willing" to be there at all.

But that OK keep only preaching to your choir because that's how you change minds right?

SockShitter · 20/05/2011 16:04

unless they've come out making a statement saying how dispicable this is and how their company would never do that under this management etc then they're just as culpable.

NOt really though

MollysChamber · 20/05/2011 16:12

Thank you Sock.

I think they should should make a statement and get rid of the fuckers involved... but don't think they are as bad as the men who actually organised the abuse of these women for their company.

I'm being as articulate as a person typing one handedly whist cuddling a screaming 4 month old can be thank you.

SardineQueen · 20/05/2011 16:49

Just to mention that many of these companies are multinational (I don't know about ergo/hmi but munich re certainly is and the others may well be) and this event for their top sales men people may have included people from all sorts of different countries.

Just saying, like.

Please stick around molly Smile

Oh, and é! Grin

MollysChamber · 20/05/2011 16:52

Can't find any kind of statement from Munich Re. Surprising. From a purel business point of view I would have thought they needed to act swiftly and firmly to try and save their (seemingly ruined) reputation.

Some of the attendees of the gathering were on the Board.

I wonder if this and their apparent lack of action are related.

Bloody hell! Who finshed all the bloody hummus? Next time can we get hand knitted tortilla chips instead of crudites?
