Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Hi all can I join you please to keep me motivated! I joined ww last week and lost 3lbs in my first week which I am pretty pleased with. Finally committing to shift the weight I piled on whilst pregnant with dc2 who is now 6 months old! I lost 1.5 stone fairly quickly after the birth but have lost nothing for the last 3 months, and have a wardrobe of clothes I can't fit into. Aiming to be back to my pre pregnancy weight by my birthday in May

Marmitelover55 · 20/01/2016 17:21

I had broccoli and Stilton soup for lunch at work (canteen) but am now panicking at how many points it might be Shock. I looked on the app and for something similar it said 20.... It was only a small bowl so I really hope not as I'm starving now.

justkeeponsmiling · 20/01/2016 18:16

gamer would you mind telling me where you got the blueberry and pear muffin recipe from? They sound lovely!

Charliej86 · 20/01/2016 20:56

Really wanted wine/sweets/crisps tonight but I've held off. I bought a fruit bowl thing and picked at that instead of wine then roasted a couple of carrots & parsnips instead of the sweets/crisps. Could have been so easy to cheat so I'm quite proud of myself.

Miffytastic · 20/01/2016 21:12

smiling well speaking from experience....I have got to goal, or within 2lbs of it, 4 times since 2002...(and once on 5/2) my problem seems to be that I don't continue to weigh in or do maintenance points once I've hit it, I just eat what I want and then afew months later I'm back up again :(
Yes it is free once you're at goal, and you get a five pound buffer zone although I should add the app isn't free :/

dottyaboutstripes · 20/01/2016 22:15

I've been at goal, or at least within 5lbs for 12 years apart from a little blip last year. Key for me is to keep tracking and to go to meetings every so often. At the moment I'm going every week because I'm struggling a bit - I'm annoyed about having to pay for the app but my leader gives codes for gold members which means we pay a reduced rate.
Well I have eaten much more than I meant to today, which means I used loads of weeklies so I will have to be careful at the weekend. At least I enjoyed my puff pastry mince pie warm from the oven Wink

actiongirl1978 · 20/01/2016 22:43

miffy I suspect it is because I don't have a lot to lose so they have cut down on my weeklies.

I have done WW on and off for 12 years, lost two lots of baby weight on it, plus the original 2stone which was the reason I joined up. Every now and then when my trousers get too tight I join again online for a while (only ever done it online).

But I have to say, I am loving this 'No count' aspect! I am largely eating fruit, veg, fish, chicken and crumpets. What's not to love about a diet where I can eat crumpets and have limitless skimmed milk (though I can't understand why skimmed milk SP's so highly, yet I can have it unlimited on the 'no count' plan)

fireandblood · 21/01/2016 10:25

3lb off today Grin think I deserved that after sts last week!

So happy cos if i hadn't it would be hard to keep on the right track. Meal out tomorrow but using weeklys and I'm having steak and soup which ain't so bad as its preordered. Also lemon posset which I think is a light dessert never has it before though.

Yay! Well done fireandblood :)

That's interesting action I wonder when/if mine will go down...

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 21/01/2016 16:06

I had a bowl of chips for lunch when I was out shopping today so I guess it will be no point soup for tea. Again. Naughty but worth it.

I'm having a hard time knowing how many points it would be though (too many).

Marmitelover55 · 21/01/2016 19:03

I've lost 3.5 pounds 😄, 6 in total in two weeks.

Charliej86 · 21/01/2016 19:20

Well done marmite!

I'm trying to decide whether I'll be better off with a no count day tomorrow, I'm making lasagne with roast marmite sweet potatoes for tea as OH is home after 12 days and it's his fav! I'll prob have ham salad for dinner so could just use all my points on it instead .

gamerwidow · 21/01/2016 19:35

Justkeeponsmiling the muffin recipe was from the ww website.

justkeeponsmiling · 22/01/2016 09:19

Thanks gamer I'll have a look

Charliej86 · 23/01/2016 15:09

2lb off. Got my mini target. Aim now is 2lb a week

fireandblood · 24/01/2016 04:00

Well done marmite and Charlie

How did everyone's weekends go so far. ?

OP posts:
Marmitelover55 · 24/01/2016 08:26

Thank you Smile. Weekend not good so far! Went out for pizza in Friday and ended dry January with half a bottle of dry white Blush. Yesterday I went over as well...

gamerwidow · 24/01/2016 10:01

I've been really good this weekend. I've even still got most of my weeklies and they reset tomorrow. It's been really hard though because I'm full of cold and just want to sit down and binge on comfort food and to make things more difficult dh had takeaway last night while I had a sad ready meal. Will be worth it in the end ...

justkeeponsmiling · 24/01/2016 14:32

Thank you for the info on maintenance after weight loss, very interesting! I think if I do manage to get to target it will take me a while to feel confident to come off the plan altogether. Like so many here I think I would just slide back into old habits and I would be afraid to put the weight back on. Not that I need to worry about mainenance just yet Grin
Congrats on yhe losses fire , marmite and charlie !
Well I had a bit of an epic fail this weekend. Since starting 3 weeks ago I have hardly touched my weeklies but DH went gor a really rare night away on friday. So I ended up drinking loads of cocktails and even having a McDonald's on the way back to the hotel. I can't even remember last time I had one before that Blush . Would have been just about ok but got up the next day and spent about an hour eating everything in the buffet that wasn't nailed down.
I was honest and tracked all my points, it was shocking. Weekly points on the ap now show a big fat "minus" Blush .
Was a bit disappointed actually when I got home and instead of veging out on the sofa to cure the hangover I decided to be really good and brave the weather instead and go gor a massive power-walk. Logged the exercise when I got back and then tried to somehow convert the fitpoints to reduce the weekly deficit until I eventually worked out you can't actually do that. I was sure I had read posts on here saying they had used all their fitpoints for food but maybe that is something you can only do if you go to meetings?
I know ww don't want you to make a habit touse your fitpoints for food but I was really disappointed. I think if I could have offset the points it would have made me go for another walk instead today to get rid of my "minus" but it feels a bit pointless now. Sort of like "what's done is done"...

justkeeponsmiling · 24/01/2016 14:34

That's my excuse, anyway Grin
Instead I'm lying in bed post night-shift drinking tea and looking out at the horrible weather here. Might try and motivate myself to do a bit of an exercise dvd later.

CharleyDavidson · 24/01/2016 18:30

Sigh, I'm having a tricky week. I shall be glad to see any loss on the scales tomorrow and hope I don't gain. I seem to have a good week then a not so good week! I'm still going though! Tomorrow I just see what the damage is and then start again with another week's meal plan.

poorpaws · 24/01/2016 22:01

1 1/2 pounds off today. I am delighted, I said I would do this slowly and I am.

I very rarely go out for meals but I've got two next week, One definite on Tuesday and maybe one on Saturday. I think I'm going to really struggle! My plan is no starter, no wine, lots of vegetables but I know for certain Ill want a sweet. I can't see the point of going out if I can't have something sweet at the end of the meal.

All the very best for the weigh-ins this week. I hope no one gains and we all have good losses.

Miffytastic · 24/01/2016 22:41

smiling that sounds like a fab Friday night tho!
I think you need to set your tracker to allow use of activity points in the web version

Miffytastic · 24/01/2016 22:42

Oh and well done Poorpaws

justkeeponsmiling · 24/01/2016 23:24

Thank you miffy it was Smile
I will look into setting my tracker to allow the fitpoints thanks. I'm not planning on making this a rehular thing but it would be nice to be able to do it every now & again.
Congrats poor, that's fab. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, hopefully they have some healthy deserts!
