Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Checking in again after being awol for a week or so! As predicted had a gain last week of 2.5lbs but I had eaten out at least 5 times and drank copious amounts of prosecco and cocktails!
Am back on it this week although had a little blip at the weekend due to a party...

Welcome to the newbies and well done on the recent losses to everyone else. Charlie a 1.5lb gain over 4 weeks is amazing! Well done! Will be interested to see how you find no count - our leader is really pushing it at the moment but am not sure I really fancy it myself....

Weigh in tomorrow!

Charliej86 · 16/05/2016 09:27

My leader is really pushing no count too, she's following it and seems to prefer it to pointing. Me & DH have picked some recipes from the no count book and were no alcohol mon-thurs and going to try drink more water.

RainbowsAndUnicorns23 · 16/05/2016 11:39

What is no count? Sorry if that's silly I don't go to meetings just use the app on my phone!

I had a loss of 3lb on WI, so obviously not doing as badly as I do!

I just need better meal ideas, but so I've found out I am actually quite a fussy eater!! I love cheese as another poster said, I have had days where I'll eat something then be shocked at the points Shock xx

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/05/2016 13:22

You can eat what you like from a list of no count foods e.g chicken , whole meal bread , lean meat etc .
I don't do it because I'm disgraceful at portion control but some of my friends swear by it !

RebeccaMumsnet · 16/05/2016 17:35

I think i'd be really bad at no count but maybe if i manage to lose a bit i'd give it a go.

I've been awful this week, i've had all of my weeklies (they've just reset) and pigged out so not feeling very positive. I didn't go over but don't feel good eating them all and in one day on cake

I did walk 15 miles on saturday/sunday though so i'm hoping that will level it off. Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed. ...

Yeah I'm just not sure that the "eat as much as you like" mentality is that great if you're trying to be healthy...I much prefer the everything in moderation approach! 😊

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/05/2016 20:20

I have been eating mostly no count foods anyway . There's only really lurpack light , the odd babybel and syrup for my porridge .

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 16/05/2016 20:56

Well!! After my week of exercise; daily swimming and walking, eating 30 points per day, using no weeklies, I lost...... 1/2 pound!!! Seriously could have cried. Feel so disappointed. Just polished off 2 packets of French Fries! Not going to throw in the towel though. I haven't gone over my daily points, and will stick with it. But, God, it's really disheartening. So slow, and I'm only at the very beginning of my journey, have so much more to go.

Hope you ladies can inspire me. Feel very Sad .

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/05/2016 21:24

Don't be - I've had weeks where I've done everything right and the same has happened . It's the tortoise and the hare . Slow and steady changes your lifestyle ! Plus doing that activity will have toned and built some muscle . Keep going . 1/2 is still a loss !

bettybyebye · 16/05/2016 21:24

Oh wish am gutted for you, so frustrating when that happens.
Keep at it though as I'm sure you will reap the rewards on the scales next week. Someone in our fb group posted a really interesting article about "whooshes" - where you have small/no loss for a few weeks then I big loss - will try to find it to share...

bettybyebye · 16/05/2016 21:29

leanmuscleproject.com/how-whooshes-impact-your-weight-loss/ here it is, well worth a read and hope it helps!

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 16/05/2016 21:59

Aw, thank you Betty and Ken. I know, slow and steady is a great way to keep if off in the long run. I only hope years of yo-yoing and hard-core crash diets haven't messed up my metabolism completely. Only other thing I can think of is eating too much pineapple this week. Maybe too much sugar?

Thank for the link, Betty, will read with interest!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 16/05/2016 22:00

Yep I have had two big 4lbs whooshes from nowhere . I seem to lose in two week cycles . Keep at it Grin

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 16/05/2016 22:06

Thanks, Ken!! Cupboard is firmly closed now. Have stacks of work to do tonight, but will be back out walking tomorrow. Just need to be patient and wait for the Whoosh Grin.

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 16/05/2016 23:45

P.S Good Luck for tomorrow, Betty !!!

poorpaws · 17/05/2016 00:25

I was expecting a huge gain this week after all the chocolate I consumed but I actually only gained half a pound which I'm quite pleased about. I know it's a gain when it should be a loss but at least it's not horrendous like I expected.

I've increased my dog walks in the last two days to 14,000 steps after Ken said I'll burn fat (thanks Ken) and I'm now really living up to my username! I'm still struggling with the eating too much and goodness knows what I'd weigh if I didn't do all the steps. I do the steps for the dogs so it's easy, why can't I stop eating for me?

Good luck everyone for good losses this week. I am till struggling but not quite so badly.

Just thought I would also ask has anyone tried the weight watchers beef hotpot new recipe? I've been eating the old recipe beef hotpot for the last 3 to 4 years on a very regular basis (far too regularly really). The new recipe is absolutely awful compared to the old one and is 10 Sps compared to 7 pps and I am gutted. What the heck I'm going to live on now I have no idea.

I have been taking Holland and Barrett probiotic capsules and they seem to have helped my digestion. I can't eat activia as the sweetness give me headaches.

bettybyebye · 17/05/2016 12:36

4lb off! Definitely made up for last weeks blip 😊 Determined to have a good couple of weeks as am so close to goal!

Our meeting is closing due to not having enough members 😓 Shame as I really liked it, although there was only ever 10-15 of us there. Fortunately I can make another one my leader does on a Thursday morning so from next week Thursday will be my weigh in day

Wisheverydaywasfriday · 17/05/2016 17:28

Wow!!!!! Amazing , Betty. Well done. Flowers Thats a fantastic result. How much more have you left to go?

Thanks Downstairs, its definitely not cycle related!! Just need to persevere..

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/05/2016 18:26

Go ON Betty !! That is a whoosh .

bettybyebye · 17/05/2016 21:45

Thanks! Not really sure what my official goal is to be honest - am now 10st 7 and would love to get to 10st. I have set a goal of 10st 5 with my leader so I can stop paying earlier! Ideally I would love to be 9st 7- 9st 10 but just not sure if that is sustainable for me. Am only 5'5" but quite curvy with huge boobs. Lowest I have ever been as an adult is 9st 7 which was my wedding day weight!

RebeccaMumsnet · 18/05/2016 08:19

+1 1/5 lb Blush
I blame the pre walk chocolate in the media tent. Hoping that the effect of the exercise will make a difference next week. I did use all of my weeklies for the first time so will try not to use them this week

poorpaws · 18/05/2016 22:27

Betty I wish I'd got really big boobs 😀 Sadly I've got tiny ones.

I've got a cold, another bloody cold and they always hit me hard. I comfort eat when I'm not well. I ditched the veg tonight for oven chips 😩 Bugger!
