I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

You are so right Ken. I really want to see great losses though 😀
Trying hard now. Years ago when I went to WW meetings a small group of us had "booster" weeks when we were struggling. These were hard work, more exercise, much less eating weeks and they always worked, we always lost well. I think it's time I brought back booster weeks.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/03/2016 04:11

That sounds like a plan - what did you do ? Probably need one myself , horribly sluggish this week.

Alfieisnoisy · 08/03/2016 05:50

I have just joined...literally last night and on,one but am going to a meeting tomorrow.

ChristmasEvePJs · 08/03/2016 07:31

Welcome Alfie, I go to my meeting on a Wednesday too. Ideal day for post weekend recovery Blush.

Poorpaws, like Ken I am thinking boost week is needed BlushConfusedBlush.

Miffytastic · 08/03/2016 09:54

Paws Flowers

Stick with it, weight will fluctuate, I always gain a bit in PMT time anyway, and I know that if I weigh myself over the course of 24 hours I can gain or lose up to 3lbs just on what I've eaten. This is for the long haul, it's about changing how you eat and adjusting to that so that you don't have to ever diet in a big way again (this is what I'm telling myself). Some days chocolate is required, that's OK, as long as it's not a week of it IYSWIM. Get back to it, and let's crack on together! What's a booster week? More exercise sounds like a good plan, and staying on track, but don't punish yourself either.

hayser33 · 08/03/2016 15:01

Hi all well done on any losses.

HELP!! I've done rubbish all weekend and it's weigh in tonight .
I just can't seem to get my head around it all-am I the only person in the world who can't follow a simple healthy eating plan. I'm actually sick of myself -I feel a state I'm always tired and I'm constantly In my pj's as other clothes I just look fat in. Fed up and can't snap out of feeling so negative about myself Sad.
I just feel awful when I'm dieting and awful when I'm not and when I am dieting it's not like I'm hardly eating anything but I just feel empty and sick and board randomly .
Sorry very droney it's embarrassing Blush

Have reported the spam post.

Totally agree with miffy, wise words!

Hayser - sorry to hear you had a bad weekend, weekends are so tough! What is it that you are struggling with most? Perhaps one of us will have some ideas to help. Have you tracked over the weekend? Please don't give up over a bad weekend, like miffy says we're in this for the longhaul so perhaps try to stop thinking of this a a diet, but rather a lifestyle change?

Weigh in for me this morning and managed a 2lb loss (totally undeserved after all the cake I put away on Sunday 😳) and also my 10% total loss 😊

oncetwicetwotimesamummy · 08/03/2016 19:48

Well done one your 10%!

Have had a rubbish afternoon. Husband had lush Thai noodles for lunch. I was jealpus so then aye my way through a whole pack of ww cookies... which don't even taste that good!

hayser33 · 08/03/2016 21:59

I have no will power at all that is the problem. I hate how I look but I can't seem to get to grips with changing my lifestyle. I just find it all so difficult. Sad I am moving house and been very distracted lately maybe that is part of the problem .

poorpaws · 08/03/2016 23:15

Okay so it's many years since I did a booster week but I'm up for it if anyone wants to join me.

It is an absolutely dedicated to weight loss week and can be quite hard but it's only one week and it really worked for us. It is not a WW endorsed week but really just made up of a few struggling ladies in the class, so a boost or nudge to weight loss.

We would do a lot more exercise probably try to double usual exercise, so more house cleaning, dog walking, gardening etc and much less sitting in a chair. Food is pared to the minimum so no eating out and more WW ready meals with veg or low calorie/pointed home made meals. No snacking and def no choc, cake, biscuits in fact as little sugar as possible. Also as low fat as you can manage. If hungry drink more water and do even more exercise to take your mind off the hunger. Is definitely not a long-term thing just a boost. I always did very very well on this weight wise but it isn't easy if you do it properly. We often used to do it after a pig out week like I had last week. It's not for the faint hearted and as I keep repeating not long term but as a short boost which we did several times in the year it really really worked and helped. I appreciate it's not for everyone because it is difficult.

I'm doing much better this week I'm glad to report although I'm only two days into the week so plenty of time to mess everything up. My goal was to lose a stone in the first three months of the year I'm not on target yet so for the next three weeks I need to have good losses to catch up.

Fingers crossed for all the weigh ins.

poorpaws · 08/03/2016 23:24

Yay Betty well done on 10% that's a brilliant achievement.

Hayser you can do this, don't be down we can all help! Chin up and keep trying.

hayser33 · 09/03/2016 07:47

Thanks I'm going to try really hard from today Smile

Alfieisnoisy · 09/03/2016 08:05

I am off to my very first meeting today I hope.
The website lists the group but the app does not. Could be interesting....the group might or might not exist.

paneerandpeas · 09/03/2016 12:02

Hello everyone

I've just started weightwatchers online on Monday and have read this whole thread since then! You all seem to be doing so well.

I have loads of weight to lose but I really need to do it, I have spent the last decade being fat and unhappy with how I look.

I did weightwatchers for about a year in 2007 and consistently lost weight but then could no longer attend meetings and gradually put the weight back on. My weight has been up and down since then (but even when down I was still overweight). In 2014 I lost nearly 2 stone in the run up to Christmas by low carbing, which I found fairly easy when I was preparing my own meals but not when eating with others/eating out so it wasn't sustainable, since then I've put that weight back on and probably a bit more. I am the heaviest I've ever been.

I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I've left it this long in general but also that I didn't just start in Januray like I'd intended. I was talking to colleague at work who has lost 18lb on WW since January, if I'd got my arse into gear I could already be 18lbs lighter by now.

I'm going to a hen do in April and a wedding in May of some school friends. None of the girls I went to school with have children yet and they're all slim and gorgeous. Envy I kind of feel like I've left it too lat to make a real difference by the hen-do but if I really stick to it there should be noticeable changes by the wedding!

That was long sorry, but quite cathartic.

So I'm weighing in kg because that's what the scales at work are set to. I'm not going to put batteries in mine because I quickly become an obsessive daily weigher when I do. My first goal is to lose 23kg, but really I could do with another 5-7kg after that. 20kg will take me down to a weight I haven't seen since 2005.

I have to recommend Total 0% greek yoghurt, I've just had 125g for 2sp and it's so thick and creamy it definitely doesn't feel like diet food!

MrsJorahMormont · 09/03/2016 12:42

Welcome paneer and well done on all the great losses. Commiserations too to everyone struggling and poorpaws please, please be kind to yourself, will you? Please! You sound so lovely but you are so hard on yourself. Like you I can be incredibly self-critical and I have to ask myself: would I talk this way to my best friend? It sometimes helps me dial back on the negative self talk.

I've been struggling with the Monday weigh ins because I have big weekends where I eat all my points. I went to a different class this morning and had 4.5lbs off! Some of that was different clothing and different time of day but I think I need to think about changing my weigh in day as it's so much more motivating when you can see progress. I seem to have a temporary gain every Monday after the weekend and it's really annoying.

Anyway , like lots of you I need a refocus week. I bought a tracker journal today so I'm going to try and get back on plan. Also going to get back on this thread as it's so helpful. So Flowers for everyone. We can do this! Smile

paneerandpeas · 09/03/2016 13:31

Thanks mrsjorah and well done on your 4.5lb loss!

I will be weighing on a Monday to start off with as I'm in the same room with scales in, at the same time, wearing the same clothes every Monday (for work, or that would be really weird!). I'm kind of hoping a Monday weigh in will motivate me to not go over my points at the weekend, but I will be mostly saving my weeklies for weekends I imagine. I'll just have to see how it goes.

ChristmasEvePJs · 09/03/2016 19:05

1.5lbs off today. Following last weeks sts that's OK but could have been better without mothers day cake etc Blush.

Feeling fatter than ever today, no idea why as I am 8.5lbs lighter than I was five weeks ago... I am clearly a nut!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/03/2016 20:00

Brilliant losses all . Fingers crossed I can get 1lb off for my stone loss tomorrow
You're all keeping me going Flowers

poorpaws · 09/03/2016 23:38

Mrs wow 4.5 lbs off just wow! Yes you are right of course. I am back on track this week and much happier because I hate to fail.

PJs well dome to you too that's a good loss after sts for a week.

Paneer welcome, we can all work together and crack this.

Alfie hope your meeting did exist. Get back to us and tell us how it went.

Ken my fingers are tightly crossed for you.

I'm doing okay but I heard of a friend of a friend (male) who has lost 7 stones, that's a whole slim person! You'd think I could easily manage 2 stones then! It's given me new perspective.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 10/03/2016 18:48

4lbs off . Virtual fruit and veg all round ladies !

Well done Ken :o Star

poorpaws · 10/03/2016 23:22

Yay Ken very well done. You are an inspiration.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 11/03/2016 02:02

I cracked a tooth on Monday so have only eaten soft food like bananas and cereal. Think that helped !
