Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Hi all, can I join you?I am planning to go back to WW meeting again tomorrow.I can't tell you how many times I have returned but have got to goal once on propoints. I am unsure as to whether I can do smartpoints as I have a sweet tooth and anything containing sugar seems really high in s.p's.So I don't feel I am in the best place to start but must think positively as I need to lose about 1 and 1/2 stone. any advice would be much appreciated.

Miffytastic · 24/02/2016 23:09

Hi Myrtle give it your best shot, once you get used to the new SP values for sweet things it's not too bad. Fruit is still 'free' which I find useful.

Well done Christmasevepjs :)

ChristmasEvePJs · 25/02/2016 08:31

Welcome aboard Mrtyl, I have such a sweet tooth but I like SP. Definitely helping to break the 'need chocolate ' habit!
Sugar free jelly is a help too.

Thanks Miffy. Does anyone know if what the points are in the eat out guide are what arrives on the plate or just the main component then add a side?

Miffytastic · 25/02/2016 14:51

Where are you eating PJs?

ChristmasEvePJs · 25/02/2016 17:31

The kids are requesting either TGI Fridays, giraffe or Nandos! Confused

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/02/2016 19:56

3lbs off and my 5% Grin

MrsJorahMormont · 25/02/2016 22:24

Well done PJs and Kendodds! Great losses :o Welcome Myrtle and welcome back MyDog Smile

Not doing too badly so far this week although I did eat some chocolate last night just because it was there. Mostly on target so far and no visitors or eating out planned this weekend thank goodness!

poorpaws · 25/02/2016 22:40

Ken well done you that's a brilliant loss.

I'm doing ok-ish but struggling a little. I've got a meal out next Wednesday (postponed from last week due to illness) and I feel I should be trying extra hard this week so feel under pressure.

Oh blimey I wish I was at goal 😀

ChristmasEvePJs · 26/02/2016 08:33

Well done Ken, fantastic!
Poorpaws, i find keeping busy helps. Idle hands reach for chocolate in our house! Blush

Miffytastic · 26/02/2016 12:26

PJs - have you got the app? If you want to play it safe I'd choose what you can off there first as it's pointed. Looks like they point the rice/chips etc separately. Can't see any TGI points, only for Giraffe and Nandos

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/02/2016 13:17

I'm feeling really stupid today . It's my birthday and DH has organised a surprise meal to be delivered from local Italian as we have no sitter . I felt really anxious when I read the menu and ended up in tears . Have 2.5lbs to go for a stone and I'm getting so obsessed I don't want to eat any weekly points . Give me a talking to please - was a thoughtful thing for him to do and have ruined it .

justkeeponsmiling · 26/02/2016 16:02

Awww Ken happy birthday Flowers
I know exactly where you are coming from, when I have had a good week and manage to achieve a decent loss it makes me determined to the point of obsessiveness to keep being "good". I think I am terrified of falling back into old habits again and ruining/self sabotaging my weightloss again as I have done so many times over the years. A good week seems to somehow exacerbate that feeling, it's like I constantly hear a voice in the back of my mind saying "don't fuck it up now after coming this far!!".
I do try hard to fight this though. The rational me knows in order to keep loosing weight long term and crucially in order to keep it off I need to not obsess about it and not to let it suck the joy out of special occasions otherwise I will eventually get sick of it and start binging again. It's important to find a balance between staying on track but also enjoying life!
Realistically it is unlikelythat you will gain if you use up all your weeklies tonight. You might not achieve such a good weightloss at the next weigh in but that's ok! You haven't let yourself down, you have just allowed yourself to enjoy life. One night of indulgence will not mean you are going back to how you were before but it will help you stay committed long-term! Also, I personally have found that in terms of weightloss it doesn't really make a massive difference whether I use my weeklies or not. And i it makes you feel better maybe try and go for an hour's brisk walk over the weekend?
Huge congrats on your weightloss last week btw!
I hope you manage to enjoy yourself tonight. Have some Wine Cake Chocolate and enjoy! And give your DH a big hug, what a lovely and thoughtful thing to do x

justkeeponsmiling · 26/02/2016 16:04

Also meant to say well done PJs !!

MrsJorahMormont · 26/02/2016 19:32

Happy birthday Ken Cake Wine Smile

Please, please don't obsess about WW. Please! It's the single reason diets fail - that cycle of deprivation and bingeing. It's your birthday. Enjoy your lovely meal without guilt. I think this is why people end up getting to goal, then can't sustain it - because they've become so obsessed with reaching this mythical number on the scales that they forget you can't live your entire life around that number. That way lies an eating disorder.

Be kind to yourself. You're doing really well. It's not about the lovely meal you eat tonight (although you might try eating mindfully and stopping when you are full). It's about all the other changes you have made, the smaller portions of pasta and rice every night, the more infrequent treats. THOSE are where the weight loss comes from Thanks

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/02/2016 19:32

Flowers justkeepon . You're exactly right , no point in being a martyr or miserable . I'd rather enjoy my food and I know it's not going to send me spiralling .

poorpaws · 26/02/2016 22:45

Happy Birthday Ken

All I'm going to say is remember the daffodils in the vase - one dead one doesn't ruin the whole bunch. Have a lovely meal.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/02/2016 03:57

Thank you Mrs Jorah and poor paws. I had chicken kebab with pitta . Really enjoyed it . You're right , I'm changing my diet and this is a treat instead of having takeaways every week that I didn't really enjoy.

ChristmasEvePJs · 27/02/2016 11:29

Glad you enjoyed it Ken, happy birthday.

dottyaboutstripes · 27/02/2016 14:55

Ken that sounds fab! Happy birthday!
I've been trying to make better choices but have just eaten 2 Chelsea buns....however, they've been tracked so it's ok, I have something like 15 weeklies left and over 40 activity points racked up so far this week. Fingers crossed I can manage a small loss this week - though we just went to Costco and made the fatal mistake of bringing our 6 yr old. A box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts here now to tempt me. Maybe I'll freeze one for a day when I'm desperate!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/02/2016 17:10

My birthday cake from DH - a 1 smart point chocolate bite Grin

Charliej86 · 27/02/2016 20:09

.5lb loss today taking me to my 5% but I'm just not into it. I keep feeling like I've had a 1-2lb loss and I'm getting no where near. I'll be honest I'm not tracking I'm just making better choices. I'm struggling to make healthy meals just for me as the kids are quite picky and OH isn't here to eat with me. I need to take my wedding dress up to seamstress this week for her to look at, hopefully trying that on again will give me a kick. X

ChristmasEvePJs · 28/02/2016 09:38

Ken, fab cake!

Charlie, if the kids are fussy and your cooking for one could you batch cook and freeze some individual portions of say curry, chilli, pasta sauce etc ready to defrost each day ?

Charliej86 · 28/02/2016 09:55

I just haven't got the time to batch cook at the moment, have a clingy 7month old, it's hard enough to cook an evening meal at the moment. X

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/02/2016 10:49

Charlie it's still 1/2 lb and a whole 5% of you ! Keep going as it is working !

ChristmasEvePJs · 28/02/2016 12:22

Charlie, could you try making enough for four each night and freezing three portions. One week of cooking gives you three weeks of re heating!
