Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Ken, I was considering dodging the scales today as I had been so bad last week but I braved it and lost 1lb. It gave me a kick up the backside to really behave this week as it could have been bad.

Have a pot of 0sp soup on and only had fruit so far today. Planning soup, a wholemeal thin and ham for lunch and drinking water like my life depends on it!!!

bettybyebye · 17/02/2016 14:35

Oh no poor paws, hope you feel better soon. I think sometimes when you're ill you just need to listen to your body - I was ill my first week on ww and existed on toast, crisps and cheese toasties so not very healthy and far too many carbs, but I pointed everything and still lost.

Do you have any low/0 point stuff you could snack on to kerb any cravings - homemade popcorn is v low and good for snacking if you have any in?

justkeeponsmiling · 17/02/2016 15:47

Congrats on the losses betty & christmas , well done all round!
Hope you feel better soon poor . I agree with betty , sometimes you just have to give in to those cravings for a day or two, especially if you are unwell.
Yy to how hard it is to stay within your points allowance when eating out. Everything is soooo pointy. miffy your meal last night sounds amazing though, well worth the points!
I agree with everyone saying to have a weigh-in regardless of what sort of week you had. I think avoiding it can lead to giving up really quickly. Also it might not be as bad as you think! But that's easy for me to say as I only do ww online so I don't have to face a whole group of people when I step on to the scales.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/02/2016 18:08

Back from Edinburgh and put the zero point soup on ! Reckon about 3lb on but I'm going to lose it again and more. Not giving up now . You're a good support ladies thank you. Flowers

poorpaws · 17/02/2016 18:48

Thank you all for your sympathy.
Betty luckily I had made batches of homemade parsnip soup a couple of days ago so I had that with a slice of toast for lunch. I'd got a WW curry in the fridge so I've just eaten that for dinner followed by another bowl of porridge as I felt so hungry. I've had two mugs of Options hot choc and will probably have another as I don't fancy tea/coffee.

It's been so far so good BUT I've done 399 steps today as I've been slumped in a chair most of the day! I always do 10,000 minimum on my dog walk and often much more if I do any cleaning etc. I'm a great believer that on any diet you have to move a lot more so with those few steps today I can't see me losing much weight.

I've got a KitKat chunky and a Daim bar in the cupboard, both keep calling my name so I think later on this evening I may just have one as a treat. I hope I feel better tomorrow as I've got things to do. How many points are Strepsils 😀 I've had loads today as my throat is on fire.
The only good to come out of all this is that I was supposed to be going out for a meal and it had to be cancelled so at least I've saved those calories although no doubt it's more postponed than cancelled and I'll be going next week when I feel better.

Good luck with weigh ins everyone. Thank goodness mine isn't until Sunday.

poorpaws · 17/02/2016 18:50

Ken you're positivity is great and with that attitude you'll definitely not give up. Good for you!

Miffytastic · 17/02/2016 20:45

Paws missed your post earlier sorry - hope you feel better tomorrow and enjoy the chocolate :)

ChristmasEvePJs · 17/02/2016 20:52

Hope your on the mend poorpaws, its hard feelings poorly, I am such a picker!

Good plan Ken, 0sp soup is a godsend!

hayser33 · 17/02/2016 20:54

Could someone tell me how I'm meant to work out the smart points of things. I haven't bought a calculator yet and usually there's a way to work out the points of things.
ThanksSmile

ChristmasEvePJs · 17/02/2016 21:00

Hayser you have a calculator on the website or with the app too.

hayser33 · 17/02/2016 21:11

Oh I can use the calculator on the website even tho I'm not monthly pass?
Also does anyone do the filling and healthy days in sated of smart points?
I've ate alot of salad with my meals today to bulk them out but I'm very hungry tonight and the smart points are so high for things Confused

ChristmasEvePJs · 17/02/2016 21:16

Sorry think you need to be a monthly pass. Lots of low SP treats though. Sugar free jelly and fruit 0sp, apple and 5g peanut butter 2sp, options hot chocolate 2sp, popcorn, filling porridge for 4sp???

hayser33 · 17/02/2016 21:54

Thanks for snack ideas . I'm really struggling tonight but it is the first day. I was ok this morning -it's because I don't want to use my weeklies as i am saving them for the weekend and I've made some bad choices today.
For example I had a salad and a tablespoon of salad cream as it was only dressing i had In the house and it was 2 sp. Then I had a ww rich toffee bar, 3 sp that was-in my opinion 5 sp wasted today on them 2 things alone .

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/02/2016 22:32

I did the same with things like that and you learn really quickly ! Laughing cow light across 2 ryvita is only 2 points . Add wafer thin ham for one more point . Satsumas are lovely and sweet at zero points . You will come through the first few days and enjoy food more and be less hungry .

hayser33 · 17/02/2016 22:45

Ah I hope so as I've been very mardy with the boyfriend tonight lol Grin. I just want to eat everything can't have! !

Looking forward to breakfast in the morning Smile

ChristmasEvePJs · 18/02/2016 09:59

I agree with Ken, a few days in and you adjust.
Being prepared is the key. Meal plan, shop smart and you will soon begin to savour 'treats' instead of hoovering them like I did Brew

hayser33 · 18/02/2016 10:52

Heehee yes I could easily eat 8 odd digestives in a row or a family size pack of doritos with a dip Blush i am a greedy guts lol

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 18/02/2016 14:32

I've ordered a freezer so I have more space for my batch cooking. Some days I don't feel like cooking so it will be good to have something healthy just there to heat up. Hopefully it will save me some money in the long run too. It's strange the things that make me happy sometimes ..

LeSquigh · 18/02/2016 15:24

Pleased to report a 7lb loss at first weigh in! I'm very happy with this. 2st 3lbs to go Smile

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/02/2016 17:05

Well done that's superb !!
I'm off to my naughty weigh in tonight eek

poorpaws · 18/02/2016 19:06

Wow LeSquigh that is brilliant, very well done to you.
Here's hoping it's not as bad as you think Ken
I've really sinned today because I've been to Macdonalds (first time this year).I still don't feel well, still lost my voice, but had to look after my granddaughter all day and thought I'd take her but not have anything myself - big mistake, I should have known.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/02/2016 20:12

1lb off !! Thanks everyone for encouraging me. The walking and step climbing in Edinburgh must have helped me. Am back in the zone.

ChristmasEvePJs · 18/02/2016 21:44

Well done both of you!
