Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Thank you kinky ! I had hoped there would perhaps be a set value, I was planning on eating it while we were out so can't really weigh stuff. Not sure what to do now

justkeeponsmiling · 12/02/2016 18:29

I just had a look on the Ap kinky , you were right - I checked "fried haddock" and "fried shop-bought chips" separately in the fish/seafood and the potato section and both came up. They even gave a point average for medium sized portions so I won't need to weigh it, yay! Thanks again!

MrsJorahMormont · 12/02/2016 18:58

Quiches are a great idea! They look good. As for fish and chips, Wetherspoons I know come in at 36 for their 'fish Friday'.

Not doing well today at all. TOTM due in a few days and I have just felt cold and STARVING all day! I had planned to be virtuous and have leftover pasta for tea tonight but ended up having it for lunch and then having some takeaway for tea. So I will have cut into my weeklies which means fewer left for tomorrow. I will probably go for steak and baked potato tomorrow now, to keep points down.

MrsJorahMormont · 12/02/2016 21:01

This is the first night since I started that I really have the munchies. I bought some mint dark choc WW bars this week so might have one of them with a cup of tea. It's freaking me out because it's the first night in 2.5 weeks that I've felt like this!

ChristmasEvePJs · 12/02/2016 21:17

I find a sugar free jelly helps a sweet craving.

I have great plans for exercise this coming week, trampolining exercise class tomorrow morning, a 10k walk on Sunday, a 5k on Tuesday, 10k on Wednesday and swim on Friday. All planned with friends so I can't talk myself out of it!

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 13/02/2016 08:17

I gave up crisps when I started this diet (I could eat a whole tube of Pringles without it touching the sides) so I've been looking for alternative nibbles/snacks.

Made spicy roasted chickpeas yesterday and they are delicious! The best thing is is a few are enough I don't feel the need to binge on them. They will be low fat and relatively high in protein too (I think).

I'm going to try Kale chips next Grin

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 13/02/2016 08:21

Christmas - your plans are very impressive and a clever plan getting friends involved.

justkeeponsmiling · 13/02/2016 09:31

Mrs thank you. On the online tracker a regular portion of shop bought battered fish & chips comes in at 30 points. I'm surprised actually, I thought it would be more!
Your plans sound great. I'm not keen anymore on most kind of exercise classes (I used to love them) but I love a good hike. It never feels like exercise I think, especially if you go with friends. I'm a bit jealous of your week, I bet you'll have a fab time!
Re munchies, I find that I work similarly to you. I can be fine for absolutely ages and then all of a sudden have an evening when I just want to feed my face. I think having a small treat on nights like that helps. Someone up thread suggested nescafe options hot chocolate sachets, I bought a fee and will have one as a real treat. They are only 2 pts but because I only have them very occasionally they feel like a huge indulgence. I wouldn't worry about having a craving, I think the WW plan is very good at teaching you to be very sensible most of the time but have the odd treat too without feeling like you failed. At least that's how it works for me.
Charlie the quiches look great, thanks for the recipes!
Shove thanks also. I love crisps too, I could literally eat bags and bags. Those chickpeas look great, I will try that recipe in the next couple of days. Do you know if they stay nice if you keep them for a few days?

Charliej86 · 13/02/2016 13:03

2lb off today! I'm very pleased with that, Infact today I would have been happy with 0.5lb loss. After 2 weeks of gains I wasn't really feeling it, was close to giving in. Hopefully I'm back in the game now, need to lose 3lb by end of Feb to be entered in our groups competition.

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 13/02/2016 17:31

Just I'm not sure how long they keep but I just made a small batch yesterday (0.5 can) and they were nice and crispy today. They are all gone already unfortunately as both DH and DD decided they liked them too.

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 13/02/2016 17:32

Congratulations Charlie! I love reading how people are getting on and losing, even though I'm too chicken to actually stand on the scales from week to week.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 13/02/2016 18:01

Well done Charlie !! DH is out so DD and I just had takeaway . My first of 2016 a chicken stir fry in pitta . So delicious when it's a treat rather than every week .

justkeeponsmiling · 14/02/2016 08:33

Thanks shove , I can't see them lasting in our house either tbh, we all like chickpeas anyway so I reckon they will be popular!
Well done on the weightloss charlie !
I'm having my weigh-in day on monday. Last week I lost 1lb, the week before nothing. It had gone really well before then but the past two weeks I had been going over my points so it wasn't really a surprise. I have no idea what this week will bring - I have had a friend staying over and all things considered have been doing quite well. I have gone slightly over my points again (weeklies too) but we have been doing lots of hiking, including walking up a 1000m mountain on Thursday so I'm hoping I will be ok. As long as I haven't gained I'll be happy!

Halo33 · 14/02/2016 10:21

Hi
Can I join in on this thread please.
I'm joining ww on Thursday .
What are the new smart points system like? -I always preferred the really old points way ,I never really got on with Propoints. This is seriously the 18 time I will of joined bit I've got so big. I'm 5.4 and weigh 12.5 -that's really big 😢😯.
I'm so worried I'll never lose it as I have no will power and I drink too much wine on weekends but I'm really going to try this time. My mum and sister are doing it with me.
Thanks x

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/02/2016 14:49

I quite like smart points as it's helping me cut my sugar addiction which was a massive problem for me.
Basically anything sugary will cost you dearly in points !

CharleyDavidson · 14/02/2016 15:07

What are people eating to fit in to their points allowance? What does a typical days food look like?

I have no breakfast, a salad or soup with fruit for lunch and then something protein based for dinner.

I have chicken, gammon and a pork joint to use this week for my meal plan. So probably chicken fajitas, pasta with pesto and leftover chicken sprinkled on top, perhaps with some bacon too. A roast using the pork and gammon with mash and veg.

I have mini packs of white chocolate buttons for a sweet treat that won't break the bank. If I'm hungry I will have cereal or porridge instead of the buttons.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/02/2016 15:14

I have porridge made with water with cinnamon. Make a big batch of no point soup at weekends and then have something like ham and laughing cow with ryvita plus soup for lunch. Dinner of protein and stir fry or m+s count on us meals . Fruit during the day.

MrsJorahMormont · 14/02/2016 17:28

Well done on weight loss Charlie! Thanks for the recipe Shove they sound good! Just that's good to know that the cravings come and go it had all been too easy so far!

Welcome Halo I did old school WW too and didn't like Pro Points at all. Smart points is really doable as your daily points never drop below 30, just your weeklies drop. My food heroes are sandwich thins (only 3 sp) with egg for breakfast or cheese and ham for lunch. Low point soups are good too. I eat large portions of pasta and rice but just point them - I find I don't overeat then later on. Sometimes I make high point meals but try and plan for them the day before. Takeaways are lethal and eating out can be tricky as everything seems very high points.

I will be amazed if I haven't gained tomorrow! We are having loads of weekend visitors at the minute and eating out a lot. I went a bit mad last night (I blame the cocktails!) Then went out for a huge lunch today too. So really need to watch my food tonight and tomorrow.

poorpaws · 14/02/2016 23:37

I've lost 1 3/4 pounds this week. I had to work very hard for it but slowly slowly tortoise wins the race. I'm exactly 11stones now so another stone off would make me very happy.

Good luck to everyone with weigh ins this week and fingers crossed for those who are struggling.

gamerwidow · 15/02/2016 08:07

1lb off today which is positive because I had a bad weekend. Going to be a difficult week this week because it's half term and I'm out a lot with my dd so it makes it harder to plan meals. Doing a sleepover as a volunteer with the rainbows tonight so no idea what they're going to feed me but I suspect it'll be pointy. On the plus side should be walking a lot outside so hopefully will balance it out.
Well done all the other losers and hang in there everyone who is staying the same.

LeSquigh · 15/02/2016 08:52

Hi everyone, can I join please?

Started a few days ago online only. I've put on two and a half stone in the last two years and I want to get back into pretty much all the clothes in my wardrobe Blush

I started on Thursday at 12st 10lbs, am 5'5".

I have (had) a real sugar addiction thing and this is helping to make me eat a lot better which can only be a good thing. I am finding it difficult to use all my 30 points up some days as I'm being really good.

I had to eat into my weekly points yesterday however as we had a long arranged family meal out. Back on it today though.

Looking forward to being thin for the summer!

MrsJorahMormont · 15/02/2016 10:26

Well done poorpaws and gamer and welcome Squigh Smile

Charliej86 · 15/02/2016 11:12

Half term, already scary. We have snow so the kids have been out to play now we're watching a movie. Let them have sweets as a treat I really wanted them, I would love a chip shop dinner, but I'm refusing to leave the house haha. Think I'll make some quiches. X
