Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

What do people think of diet sodas? I have definitely been drinking more of them but read somewhere that you lose more weight just drinking water. Is this true?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/02/2016 13:23

I can't drink diet soda because of migraine but I would say that water would be better .

AmazingAugust · 06/02/2016 13:42

Hi all, may I check in? I joined up today - have my first mini goal event in 6 weeks. Hope to lose 10kg in total to get back into pretty much 90% of my wardrobe! Shock

CormoranStrike · 06/02/2016 18:20

2lbs off today, 8 points in two weeks - woohoo

dottyaboutstripes · 06/02/2016 20:24

Well done on the losses!
Charlie I have no idea why that's happened? I'm struggling. This week I've eaten a huge amount, af appeared yesterday so that probably explains it but it's like I have NO self control at the moment.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/02/2016 14:36

The little bags of Cheetos from Asda are only two points. Bonus !!

ChristmasEvePJs · 07/02/2016 16:21

I think fizzy drinks bloat me regardless of being diet or not. I stick to water, sugar free squash, tea and coffee. Too much dairy does the same tbh,

Miffytastic · 07/02/2016 21:58

::slinks in::
24hours of non WW eating: dinner at friends' including cheesecake, a cocktail... fizz... And then Sunday tea today, and more cheesecake.
It's weigh in day tomorrow O_O

MrsJorahMormont · 07/02/2016 22:04

Hands up who hates Monday weigh ins? WinkChocolateCakeWine

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/02/2016 22:31

My class is on a Thursday . Thought I would hate it but it's a bit easier to eat properly in the run up .

CormoranStrike · 07/02/2016 22:36

I have a Saturday morning weigh in - so far I like it.

poorpaws · 07/02/2016 22:57

It was my weigh in today and I lost 2 1/4 pounds. It was damned hard work though and I have had to be absolutely on it this week. I've got a meal out next week with bro and sis-in-law and they are "oh go on have xyz it won't hurt you" types. I knew this meal was due soon so I've been amazingly good this week infact I've done exactly what the experts tell us to do, I've eaten (a lot) less and moved (a lot) more. I wouldn't be able to keep this up every week but for one week only it has actually worked woohoo!
(1st 3 1/2lbs to get to goal (that's an awful lot of weeks left to lose)).

Sorry for those of us who are struggling and I'm sure you'll get back on track soon. This time next week I could be posting a gain too; this is very difficult. Miffy I could cut off my own arm for a piece of cheesecake right now.
Cormoran - well done that's too good weeks!
Mrs - best weigh in day is Friday. That was my weigh in evening for two years at Weight Watchers until the class folded. It was brilliant, we got weighed at 5 o'clock and then a group of us went out for the evening. Happy times, I miss everyone.
Good luck for losses this week everyone.

Miffytastic · 07/02/2016 23:04

Yes I'd much rather have Friday or Saturday weigh ins as I've had in the past. Ah well, I've had a nice weekend, and the cheesecakes were fab! (Sorry Paws!)

MrsJorahMormont · 07/02/2016 23:46

Oh wow! 5pm on Friday is the ultimate weigh in. But any day after Monday is good as you could claw back from a big weekend

MrsJorahMormont · 07/02/2016 23:48

I am coming in 4 over weekly points but had a few days under points by 1 or 2 so hoping it all evens out in the end!

gamerwidow · 08/02/2016 12:36

Well done on everyone's loses. I lost 1lb this week but I did dip into fit points a bit so I'm relieved for any loss. Was more restrained this weekend and planned my meal out in advance so didn't end up with any 90 point day mishaps like last weekend.
This is the point of the diet I always struggle at. I'm now (just) at the edge of a healthy bmi and I find it hard to keep motivation now the immediate health risk is gone.

dottyaboutstripes · 08/02/2016 13:05

Well done gamer! What have you set your goal as? My goal is the very top allowed ie BMI of 25 and that's where I am but I know it's heavier than I'd like - I am happy at half a stone less but it's like you say , hard to keep motivated

gamerwidow · 08/02/2016 17:31

Thanks SmileI'd like to be a stone lighter if I can. That would put me mid range for bmi which is probably more appropriate for me because I have a small frame

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/02/2016 18:42

Nice one gamer !

Wardy1993 · 08/02/2016 18:45

Hello there! Doing vintage weight watchers 6 weeks pp trying to lose 3 stone aswell! Already lost half a stone in a week. I'm not in classes or anything just using vintage ww scales / points system.

Good luck hope everything is going ok for you Star

dottyaboutstripes · 08/02/2016 19:05

Hi Wardy! Vintage as in cardboard calculator, 18 points which you can save up from to splurge etc?! That's how I got to goal back in the day. I think I finally got rid of all my books a year or so ago, otherwise I'd be tempted to go back to it

Wardy1993 · 08/02/2016 20:03

Hi dotty! Ummmm to be honest I don't know a lot about it, it's the one where you work out your allowance by female (3 points) weight (14 st = 14 points) etc and you point for everything including fruit and veg and you lose a point for every stone. Things are weighed by cals and sat fat. Is this vintage or something else?

Wardy1993 · 08/02/2016 20:05

Just wanted to add I'm not using any books or recipes, literally just using special ww scales to weigh portions and points and weigh myself on a Monday! I love it because I eat what I want as long as I'm within my points and it seems to be working. Hurray!

MrsJorahMormont · 08/02/2016 21:25

Well done poorpaws, gamer and everyone!

I got 1.5lbs off tonight so 5lbs so far. I can feel the difference in my clothes which is good and I'm eating really lovely food. Tonight I had a beef in red wine stew and chocolate pudding with strawberries, both done in my Instant Pot. I am like a TV evangelist for this but honestly, it's wonderful. I whipped up broccoli soup in it earlier too and it was yum and only 1 point for two huge mugs of it.

Trying to plan ahead for the week - I will be having a big meal and cocktails on Saturday so trying to save my weeklies for then. What are you all having for dinners this week?

poorpaws · 08/02/2016 22:51

Mrs - it's strange you should mention that you can see a difference in your clothes because I came on here tonight to ask that very question.

I've now lost 8 1/2 pounds this year and I can't see or feel any difference whatsoever (apart from maybe my bust is a little smaller but that was small anyway and I didn't want to lose weight from there if indeed I have). Last time I did WW they said it took 12lbs to a stone to go down a dress size. Although I've obviously not lost enough to warrant going down a size I really thought I'd be able to feel some difference by now (particularly on my massive tummy). So my question to you lovely lot is how much did you have to lose to feel any difference? I've got a little disheartened tonight but I've still stuck to my points, which on previous occasions I wouldn't have.
