Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

Another idea going around my group is to use the soft stand & stuff taco shells as a base for a mini quiche. The shells are 2sp each x

gamerwidow · 31/01/2016 09:31

Well I totally ballsed up yesterday eating a whopping 95 points after a meal out. In my defence it was bloody lovely so imo worth it.
Will be interesting to see what the scales say tomorrow.
Tempted to write today off as well because I feel really poorly with cold bug and just want a big roast dinner and to sit around on the sofa today .,.

poorpaws · 31/01/2016 18:58

Gamer tomorrow is another day, it's impossible to diet when you feel poorly imo.

When I started this diet/journey/hell in January I promised myself that no matter how small the loss was I'd be delighted. So with a fake smile I am reporting a three quarters of a pound loss (I really want to shout and scream that's not enough for all the work I've done). 😀 This is very slow going, in fact this could end up being my life's work!

Good luck to everyone else with the weigh-ins, I hope you do better than me. Smile, smile bloody smile!

Charliej86 · 31/01/2016 19:51

I need to have a really good week.

I had Chinese Friday, vegetable satay with fried rice, only ate half. Saturday I took the kids to the Italians & had potato skins & pizza. Then for tea I finished my Chinese and shared some of OH's kebab & cheesy chips. Today we've been for Sunday dinner and just had macdonalds!! Add in 2 1/2 bottles of wine since Friday.
My goal is 3lbs!! Come on people we can do it!!!! Haha

KenDoddsDadsDog · 31/01/2016 19:56

I started on January 7th and have 1/2 a pound to go for half a stone . I haven't been eating any weekly points at all as I know taking citalopram and migraine meds will make it harder to lose. Today though had a migraine , felt terrible so used half my 35 allowance. Now going to have to be active and focused to lose even 7 oz Sad

gamerwidow · 31/01/2016 20:23

Poorpaws it all counts and you're moving downwards even if the progress is slow Smile

CharleyDavidson · 31/01/2016 20:47

I think I've lost half a lb this week, as far as my scales are concerned. This is after losing about the same last week. Whether it will show on the meeting scales tomorrow night is another thing.

I'm determined to keep going, however slowly though. It's handy that there's a new leader who has set up a new class and who asked me to help as a clerk as I was one of the first people to join her class. So I don't have to pay. I did pay for 2 months and have the esource as a result. From next week I will have to see if the will have a code to give me as a clerk to allow me to still track online etc. She said she has, so I will see. Otherwise it's back to topcashback to see if they are offering anything to join up as I got a good rate last year when I did.

I need to have a look at my snacking habits. I need to get some shopping in and plan my meals as that's when I achieve the best.

I sometimes make something the day before so that when I get in after work and want to eat something healthy but quick, it's there waiting.

Tomorrow will be a sweet and sour rice pot as it's a set portion, low points and no seconds! :)

I'm going to swap chocolatey or biscuity snacks for a bowl of cereal in the evening if I'm hungry. Then I will find it easier to stick to my points.

poorpaws · 31/01/2016 20:50

I know Gamer I know and I feel disappointed but if I'd gained that amount I'd be furious with myself. I hope you and everyone else does well. Another whole week of hell til my next weighin 😂 How I wish chocolate was filling and healthy

poorpaws · 31/01/2016 20:58

Just a word of caution Charley and I'm sure it won't be you, but my friend did clerk duties and because it was free she found she lost one week and gained the next. After 18 long months she hadn't lost so gave up her clerks job and decided to pay. I left the class before I found out how she did when she did pay but another friend said she was doing much better. Im sure you won't do that but I had to mention it.

ChristmasEvePJs · 31/01/2016 22:19

Mrs I think we are on the same amount of points, 32 daily and 42 weekly?
I blew most of my weekly ones on Indian take away with friends on Fri night, it was planned long before I joined WW.

I have my meetings in another city tomorrow and I know I would normally have tea and a biscuit on arrival, a few hrs between meetings so a wander, shop and lunch in somewhere for a 'treat' then another meeting with tea and a biscuit followed by coffee and cake catching up with paperwork on the way home Blush. However tomorrow will be different!!! I have my overnight oats in the fridge to have before I go along side a couscous and Mexican chicken salad for lunch. I will eat my lunch in the car with my book then go to a lovely coffee shop for a skimmed milk latte as a treat!

Have walked (well blew really) 10k today and have the same planned for Tuesday and Thursday.

Has anyone tried the WW booklet wake up workout? I want to but keep sleeping in!!!

MrsJorahMormont · 31/01/2016 22:41

Christmas I'm on 31 a day plus 42 weekly - I am jealous of your extra point :o Indian is ALWAYS worth a blow out on :o

Paws and Charley you are heading in the right direction, try not to obsess over the speed of loss (I know it's easier said than done). KenDodd be careful that you don't actually slow your weight loss down by not eating your weeklies, I think they say that really undereating makes you go into that famine mode or something, so your body hangs on to stuff.

I am just about coming in on target this week, weigh in tomorrow, have 4 weekly points left. It will be interesting to see if I have a loss! Hope so as I've been very honest on my tracker but either this week or next week will be hit by my 4 weekly water gain so not sure.

poorpaws · 01/02/2016 00:57

Mrs- fingers crossed for ur weigh-in tomorrow.

Shoveyergrannyaffabus · 01/02/2016 08:23

I just weighed myself and have lost nothing since last week. The scales still say 14 st 2 pnds. I burst into tears in front of my DH as I was so disappointed. Not a good look.

This is the most consistent with my diet I have ever been and it's not working. I hate being middle-aged sometimes. Can the peri-menopause make it harder to lose weight?

I think I'm going to stop weighing myself as it's such a downer and up my exercise (I.e. Do some exercise). Next goal is a pair of jeans that I can't get into at the moment.

Onwards and downwards

gamerwidow · 01/02/2016 08:58

I gained 0.5 lb this week which considering I ate not just all my dailies and weeklies but all my fit points and more as well last week is probably about as good as can be expected.

Still weight loss rarely goes in a straight line so I'm trying not to be too discouraged and am getting back on it today. I've planned out all my meals for this week including food and drink for a night out on Friday. I'm determined that this week I'm going to stick to the diet and do better.

shoveyergrannyaffabus keep going the weight loss will show in the end if you stick with it. Don't forget your weight hasn't gone down but it hasn't gone up either so still a win.

MrsJorahMormont · 01/02/2016 10:27

Thanks paws. Shove try not to be too disappointed if it's just been one week. One thing I remember from doing WW before: every 4 weeks I have a gain, reliable as clockwork, due to hormones. It wouldn't matter if I ate nothing the week before, I would still gain that week, then usually had a big loss the following week. It's really disappointing when you have been trying hard but do try and think of the longterm picture Thanks And gamer our leader (who lost a lot and kept it off) says that a lot - about the winding line of weightloss! Smile

I have ordered the Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 pressure cooker thing. There's a huge thread in AIBU singing its praises and if you go to their website (www.instantpot.co.uk) and use the code gf157 you get £30 off plus some extra accessories. You can do things like casseroles really quickly with it, which is good for WW - think half an hour instead of 2.5 hrs.

Weigh in later. My clothes are feeling tight which is making me wonder if it's the 4 week window of doom today Sad I can hand on heart say I have tracked like mad last week so can't do any more!

bettybyebye · 01/02/2016 11:59

Good luck to everyone weighing in today! I am trying to have a v low point day in advance of tomorrow's weigh in. Managed to do ok at the weekend I think. We went out for curry last night but I was very restrained and had chicken tikka pieces with rice and salad whilst DH tucked in to the Sunday banquet! I did have a nibble on some poppadom and naan bread but tracked everything, including the chocolate that came with the bill Smile

Miffytastic · 01/02/2016 12:36

Good luck to other weighers today. My meeting's this evening so I have a cuppa after the school run and then go nil by mouth for3 hours ;-)

Shove don't give up, exercising sounds like a good plan. I think the PMT weight gain is definitely a thing,I've got this ancient Oprah weight loss book
('Make the connection' where she talks about gainging every month, then losing loads the following week. (BTW I'm so chuffed Oprah is a WW person now, I love her)

Ken - urgh, migraines, they're the worst me and DH have both suffered with them in the past. Touch wood I've not been too bad recently.

That instapot thing does porridge -I have a tefal 4in1 thing that's similar and it's brilliant. I don't actually use any of the other functions.

MrsJorahMormont · 01/02/2016 15:34

Miffy your 'nil by mouth' made :o I will be the same later on. The Instapot 7-in-1 has a yoghurt function and apparently makes very good yoghurt from skimmed milk so you can make it as sugar free as you like or use a sweetener of your choice. I like the timer function too - there's a nice SW slow cooker breakfast in one pot recipe that I might make using the delayed start function. I will post the recipe if I can find the cook book. It would work well on a no count day.

Miffytastic · 01/02/2016 19:17

Well despite not eating or drinking since 3.30 it didn't do me any good - stayed the same :-( I know that's better than putting on but I've been good this week... Earned bloomin 55 fit points and don't think I went over my weeklies (I say that as I sneaked some crumble and didn't point it but I did have 20 weeklies left). Ah well, I have exercised a lot and I feel better in myself so going to focus 'beyond the scale' this week....

MrsJorahMormont · 01/02/2016 19:35

Well, 3.5lbs off, so wasn't hormone doom week - that will be next week. On the bad side I'm a victim of my own success and am now down to 30 points a day :o

Does anyone else finding eating out the hardest thing? I had a ham roll for lunch and 2 coffees with sugar and milk. There was butter on the roll (I keep forgetting to ask for no butter because I never put butter on filled rolls or toasties so always assume no one else does either!) so it cost me 9 points, plus 4 more for the coffees. If I hadn't just had a banana for brekkie I wouldn't have had enough for dinner!

Day looked like this:

Banana 0
Ham roll with salad and butter (9)
Milk and sugar for 2 coffees (4)
Pasta (90g dry, wholewheat) (9)
Chicken with leek, mushroom and red fat crème fraiche (5)
Parmesan (2)

So I have 1 whole point left to play with (or 2 if I start my new week tomorrow). What shall I do with it? :o

MrsJorahMormont · 01/02/2016 19:40

Miffy are you sure you didn't undereat? With so much exercise, it sounds like you should have been eating a lot more! You're not accidentally doing that starvation mode thing are you, where you are keeping weight on because you're not eating enough?

uppitywho · 01/02/2016 20:49

Stubbornly remaining on 13 St . 3 weeks lost one pound. Mainly due to home made flapjacks . losing my impetus I think

Miffytastic · 01/02/2016 21:17

MrsJ Nash I don't think so, it was mostly walking fit points, and I've eaten lots of (too much?) fruit thus week. Just had a 'sod it' tunnocks wafer ;-)

ChristmasEvePJs · 02/02/2016 10:28

Well done to those with losses and hang on in there to those having a rough week. I did WW before, then fell off the wagon, and when I went back last week and woman was there from when I first went (3.5yrs ago). She was almost 20st and is now at goal and maintaining comfortably... I was 5st lighter than her when we went before so I am determined to hang on in there this time!

cjt110 · 02/02/2016 10:29

Just joined the new program yesterday online. Bit disappointed in the website at the mo as it seems to have lots of niggles. BUT, very excited to be getting back on plan. I went to the darkside and tried SW, but just not for me.
