pointydog · 01/06/2010 22:54

well done, aitch

I have had my gorgeous chocolate, ganache, melted chocolate and chocoalte-covered strawberries cake. I might shoot back up through 11st

cornsilkcottagecheese · 01/06/2010 22:58

well done aitch
I have been slightly biffing on werthers originals but apart from that keeping in the zone. I can't get rid of my fat satchel on my tummy.

BudaisintheZONE · 02/06/2010 06:41

Well done Aitch!!!!

pointydog - that cake sounds fantastic!

dinkystinky · 02/06/2010 08:58

Aitch - that's brilliant news! Woop woop for you!

Pointy - that cake sounds choctastic (in a delicious hindu deity sounding way) and well worth stepping out of the zone for.

Cheese - I love soups. Made an asparagus one last night (just onion, asparagus, stock and lots of black pepper) and was delicious. Tonight will be prawn tom yum soup I think.

Undertone - was hoping that after the election build up and hoopla all the trolls would go back to their hovels but seems they're here to stay. Ho hum.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 02/06/2010 09:02

Yay Aitch! I felt amazing when I broke 11st.

Just got bakc from the most bifftastic camping hol. I've eaten so much meat/BBQ I am practically mooing. plus too much wine, bread, etc etc. Really glad to get back in the Zone. Think I have finally attained sensible eating habits as the norm.

Only put 1lb on though so that's pleasing.

Race for life in less than 2 weeks. Gotta get the trainers on. And half term!! Happ happy (ignores huge pile of books plus reports which needs writing).

BudaisintheZONE · 02/06/2010 09:32

Dinky - that soup sounds yummy. Must try it. Lots of asparagus around at the moment and DH loves it. That's Saturday lunch sorted!

gherkin - only a pound on sounds great!

Just been on the BBCGoodFood website looking for a recipe I used ages ago for chicken and chicpeas which I want to do tonight. Decided to do a search for low GI recipes and there were quite a few so worth having a look if you are lacking inspiration. Some of the recipes are low fat too. And I am sure that if you typed low fat into the search you would get lots of recipes too.

Had porridge and blueberries for breakfast and then walked dog for 45 mins.

cyb · 02/06/2010 10:45

corny are you eating bread still?
I ahve started to eat more bread than before and goodness the fat that that settled back around my belly

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 02/06/2010 10:49

Yes bread. Got appalling gutache on Saturday, decided it was due to eating toast, a sandwich and a burger in a bun on Friday having eaten v little bread for months. Always felt v abut people who say they have a wheat intolerance but have come to the conclusion that perhaps I have. Still, helps keep me zoning I guess.

BudaisintheZONE · 02/06/2010 12:13

Can't do bread here either. Was always my weakness and I suspected it didn't agree with me. Before I started eating like this I used to get dreadful heartburn. Never get it now unless I stray off diet.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 02/06/2010 12:19

No I haven't eaten bread for a while now.I think I need to do better atomach exercises. I spend ages on legs, back and arms at the gym and only about 5mins on my tummy.

cyb · 02/06/2010 12:29

makes me fart like TROOPER

BudaisintheZONE · 02/06/2010 12:39

Lovely!!!

cyb · 02/06/2010 13:15

yes it was quite a revelation (and a relief) to all concerned when I identified the root of my toots . Now on the rare occasion when I'm cracking one off me and dh look at each other and shrug and say 'bread'

dinkystinky · 02/06/2010 13:21

Cornsilk - try out pilates. V good for tummy and back and posture (which makes tummy look smaller). Otherwise if you cant make a class, try and do intervals to burn the fat with your weights work and spend 15 minutes on abs at the end (plank, side plank, reverse crunches, bicycle - do that combo 3 times over - and some back work - dorsal raises and superman and cat stretch) and you'll see a difference.

BariatricObama · 02/06/2010 13:42

whoo hoo aitch - i have crept back up which is annoying but will try and be back under for friday

cocolepew · 02/06/2010 16:18

Well done aitch!

I had a fresh baguette with ham and egg in it today. My poor workmates have suffered all afternoon [grin. The pains in my stomach weren't natural.

bread is the ..wait for it...divvel's food

ahh, havent done one of those for ages

cocolepew · 02/06/2010 16:47

I'm wearing my slinky, new, cropped, size 12 trousers

I haven't been trying any 12's on and buying 14's but the are a tiny bit big. I have a habit of wearing bottoms too big so they slide down onto my hips, but now they are bagging at the front and I look like I have a semi. Not a good look for a middle aged woman.

OP posts:
cocolepew · 02/06/2010 16:50

these are them I have them in khaki too, they are very light and a matt silky sort of material. Very nice and cool.

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 02/06/2010 16:52

They're nice Coco - how do they go with your jesus/nan sandals?

cocolepew · 02/06/2010 16:58

I haven't worked up the courage to wear them yet, I sweated in Converse all day

welld oen aithc, the stone barriers are biggies.

but ooooooh, that's really spooky cyb, I was going to ask you guys if bread affected them differently having cut it out.
I had a cheese sandwich on white bread on monday and monday night and tuesday I felt awful, and horrible stinky farts.
Had a slice of 50/50 bread last night (wine induced) and feel rough again this morning but not as bad.

No more bread for me, and it made me feel very bloated.

Good news is that, after staying in FIL's hosue and biffing on bics, not to mention sarnies, I am now 15 11!
Went to lido this morning with dd's and normally I would go in dress and hitch it but I wanted to wear shorts. Can't afford to shop so I got my old jeans that are too big and hacked off the legs to just above the knee, very comfy, and wore with a vest top.
I would never before have worn an outift like that in public but I feel confident enough now not to give a flying fuck what people think. coolio.

msckerel and feta salad for lumnch, steamed salmon and stir fry for tea. couple spooons of dd2's icecream at park this avo but not to bad considering.

JackBauer · 02/06/2010 18:15

apparently I am now typing in gaelic

pointydog · 02/06/2010 18:38

lolol @ semi

I have been looking at myself in old jeans and prodding about at the loose material too, finding it rather cock-like.
