How much did you want to lose in 8 weeks dastardly?

Buda, you have the most intersting weather! No loss is better than again though, so it's all good.

Bit better here today, been to playgroup, had 2 fried eggs, some fried cherry toms and some red pepper for lunch, bit random but was sort of what DD's were having so was easy.
Have tomatos, onions and basil roasted in oven ready to simmer and whizz and freeze and chicken in slowcooker for tea.

Am going to try and have a blitz this afternoon, ahve already filled a binbag with jigsaws missing bits and random broken toys, dd's are hysterical.
Having break and will then go at the toybox. It will not be pretty.

Speaking of copycats, there is a dinkytinky as well...

I need a new name come on

DastardlyandSmugly · 14/06/2010 15:50

stone and a half in 8 weeks? I have just done that[smug] but then I was hideously overweight to start with.

Have spent all afternoon sorting toys, 2 black sacks and a green bag of paper/jigsaw's etc for recycling and I can finally put all teh toys away. DD's have been screeching at each other solidly for about 2 hours now as they fight over every single toy that I refind.
I have had roast chicken a homemade yorkshire and a load of grilled veg.

And 2 chocolate digestive biscuits.

And I haven't exercised today.

Oops.

NomDePlume · 14/06/2010 18:25

food today

  • handful of dry blueberry wheats (mini shredded wheat filled with blueberry jammy stuff)
  • Jacket spud, king prawns + tblspn of marie rose sauce (no butter)
  • left over veg lasagne and asparagus (again, I'll turn into an asparagus spear at this rate but it is soooooo nice and such a short season). No oil/butter
Undertone · 14/06/2010 18:46

I'm going to be Officially Rubbish and dash in, moan, and dash out again without the common courtesy to catch up and say hi to all.

Somehow went from 14 stone 1 on Friday morning to 13 stone 13 Saturday morning. 'Raaaaay.

But Saturday was the polo (pics in their Flickr stream here - you can see the whole thing was absolutely bloody rife with thin hooray henrys - arse) and from when we started drinking at 11.30am I must have put away 1 bottle of wine, 2 bottles of fizz, 4 pints of cider and then umpteen vodka red bulls to try and keep going past midnight. This was healthily supplemented with my own bodyweight in crisps, a burger, a pie (a PIE for god's sake!) and chips.

Naturally feeling awful the next day, I ate scrambled eggs and bacon at the B&B, about a ton of cashews and more crisps on the train home, an M&S wrap thingy at Waterloo, then a huge pile of pasta and sauce when I got in.

I think the cashews were the worst - they're rougly 150% pure fat.

I haven't got back on the scales.

dinkystinky · 14/06/2010 19:48

Evening ladies and bow to the highoverlord in the corner. Have had mostly zoney day but know am going to be leaping in the biscuit tin at every available opportunity this week as bloody boss has fecked off to the US on a jolly and left me with his shite deal (which has severe career limiting move scrawled all over it in toxic neon letters) to close on friday - oh did i mention i'm supposed to only be working fixed hours, the client is a moron and i have no secretary this week. Joy joy joy.

Sounds like you had fun at the polo Undertone - and glad the puppy is making you feel better Coco.

Buda - your poor cleaner. Really hope her dad's passing is swift and as dignified as possible now.

pointydog · 14/06/2010 20:05

I feel bloated with bread. I am in the process of re-focusing for the week.

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 14/06/2010 20:27

Sorry but am sniggering at 'a PIE for god's sake'

Didn't shred yesterday but have just done billy blanks ultimate workout, jesus that man is a fuckign sadist. legs are all wibbly and I have to make dh's tea in half an hour.

hope it all goes okay dinks....not got much planned this week apart form coutning pennies and being broke so I feel baking might be happeneing, eek.

Aitch · 14/06/2010 20:45

jack i find myself wanting to see more photos of you, you must be changing in front of our very eyes...

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 14/06/2010 21:06

I don't think I am, I do not do photos of myself, so actually seeing one that is vaguely flattering is quite a nice surprise, will get him to send it to me off his phone and put it up later if you like...

Aitch · 14/06/2010 21:15

i bet your cheekbones are quite the thing.

DukesOfTripHazard · 14/06/2010 21:22

Jack, just checked your profile. You are hairier but no swearier than expected.

Undertone I would almost definitely die if i drank all that. ATE all that on the other hand.... could probably manage.

Go dinky, you can do it. If anyone can you can.

I shredded again today. Enjoyed it more but those jumping jacks tracky bots straight in the machine, man.

dinkystinky · 14/06/2010 21:23

Cheers Jack. The ultimate workout is a good work out - definitely guaranteed to give results. Good luck with the baking! Perhaps you could make homemade pizzas (if you lay off on the cheese on top they're relatively healthy I guess)? And do not diss the flattering photo - the camera adds 10lbs so if you're looking like you've lost weight despite that, then its all to the good

Discovery of the day - amaretti biscuits, flavourful (if you like amaretto that is) and only 0.5 ww points for 3. Brilliant!
Will be making sure I dive into tins of amaretti biscuits this coming week.

dinkystinky · 14/06/2010 21:25

Ah Dukes - my top tip for the jumping jacks is do a wee half an hour before the work out - then immediately before the work out do a little wee and ta da, you no longer smell like the local tramp (less the beer bit) by the end of the work out

And if you think that is bad, just wait for level two - and three....

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 14/06/2010 22:15

Nah, have tried that dinky, I wear an ST (not buying tena lady yet) and still it happens, bloody dd2 (dd1 came out the sunroof, it's not her fault)

I got a bit by that dukes, but haha.

DH has deleted photo, the git.

QualityTime · 14/06/2010 23:41

BudaisintheZONE · 15/06/2010 07:50

Hi all.

Hello QualityTime. Is it only me that thinks of Quality Street when I see your new name???

Have just had a slice of rye toast and peanut butter for breakfast and am about to hang out some washing and then take dog for a walk.

Today will be hard. Off to Afternoon Tea with British Ambassador's wife and apparently she makes a fab Victoria Sponge. And then I am out for dinner tonight.

dinky - cleaner's Dad died yesterday morning before she got there. Thankfully he is now at peace. He was in so much pain and the pain control is not nearly as good as we would expect.

QualityTime · 15/06/2010 08:25

Ooh, we have a lido, am thinking of going there this week as long as DD2's cold backs off a bit. Ours is not for adults to swim though, it's more a paddling pool kinda deal.

Oh dear Buda, how can you refuse the british Ambassador's Wife's Victoria SPonge? Isn't that some sort of crime?
That's sad about your cleaner's dad, but probably be a relief in some ways for her if he was in that much pain.

BudaisintheZONE · 15/06/2010 10:50

QT - I know. I have to have some don't I? It would be rude to refuse and may even cause a diplomatic incident! My plan is one piece of that and that is it. No more. And dinner tonight will be OK as i can have something sensible.

Did the dog walk. An hour almost. With 3 hills. About to have salad for lunch - rocket, tomatoes, chickpeas, red onion, red pepper, walnuts and some feta.

Has anyone heard of Isabel los Rios? I came across name on a diet thread on here. You can watch video here. Am not planning on buying the books but the programme is basically what I have been trying to follow. Will be putting the principles of her plan to mine to see if it will make any difference. It makes sense to me as I have come to believe that a lot of the processed crap we eat has no nutritional value and leads to cravings for more and more crap. I have to say I don't crave anything now. If I am hungry I eat but I eat something healthy.

DukesOfTripHazard · 15/06/2010 11:09

I'm sorry but all the wees, little wees and ta das in the world aren't going to help [Dukes pauses to throw down a few p floor exercises]

QT - snap! DD1 Sunroof, DD2 proper.

Ah well, high class probs really.

QualityTime · 15/06/2010 12:48

Lol Dukes. I have stopped a workout just to run to the loo, and yet, 10 seconds later I am again grateful I am wearing black trackie bottoms...But it doesn't happen when I am running. Weird. I knew I shouldn't have fought so hard for a VBAC

Went out to shops earlier with DD2 and turned a corner weirdly, have fucked up my knee, am now walking around limping. Lovely. Just what I needed.

Big bowl of fruit salad and a sausage for lunch, basically a combo of what DH and DD's are having

Buda, I have pretty much stopped eating processed foods now. I haven't had sliced bread for ages, occasionally have a bit of baguette and maybe a ryvita but no pasta or frozen chippy things or anything. Is weird how much I don't want it either, it's not even 'No, I don't need it, I literally don't want it.
And a bit of cake won't kill you, plus if you tell her you are eating healthily but can't pass up a slice of delicious cake then that will put you in good books for missing HRH's birthday party

Tostaky, what is pushy mum? Is that the buggy pushing walk and then baby lifting exercises thing? I was hsyterical when I went on that, was with a mate who had had a 4lb term baby, mine was 8lb8. I was sweating while lifting and she was saying 'ooh, it's a breeze'
I asked teacher for weighted nappies ot make it fair. It DId Not Go Down Well.
I didn't go back

DukesOfTripHazard · 15/06/2010 13:12

Snap. Running is fine.
