Master how was the dahl?

dinkystinky · 09/06/2010 21:00

Aah Porridge - you've just got the post hol blues (not helped by the crap weather out there). Cheer up - you've got another holiday to look forward to in the not too distant future and need to zone it like a good un to look Ossum...

Jack - love that story!

Cornie - wow at you winning a spa break. I've never won anything exciting like that! Lol at you getting oatcakes with it though.

Have had that feta beetroot walnut salad again for dinner - think I may be addicted. I blame Aitch for linking to that yummy recipe.

No exercise today (too shattered) but have pilates and body combat lined up for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a better nights sleep tonight all round in the dinky household.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 09/06/2010 21:05

You are sweet Dinks - hope you have a better night.

BudaisintheZONE · 09/06/2010 21:17

Salad sounds yummy dinky. Must try and find link. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

I did think about taking some ferrero to party but didn't think it would go down well! I did ask if there was a collection for a present.

am goin to afternoon tea at residence with ambassadors wife next week. Maybe I'll bring the ferrero then!!?

BudaisintheZONE · 09/06/2010 21:19

Oh. at spa break. I never win anything.

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 10/06/2010 07:14

Now you are just showing off, buda!

How does this work? I biffed out last night, had big bag salted popcorn, piece chocolate and 2 jammy dodgers. and i have lost a lb
Bsy day today, lots of pickups/drop offs and swapping of children with friends. All over by this avotho.

Dh has requested quiche for tea, howtf can i make that healthy?

cocolepew · 10/06/2010 07:53

Hi losers

I'm been v busy playing with training my pup.

I'm sooooooooooo tired.

OP posts:
tostaky · 10/06/2010 08:37

I was super zoney yesterday up til DP arrived and then it all went downhill

dinkystinky · 10/06/2010 09:49

Tostaky - enjoy having your DP around. I figure when bfing 70% zoney, and 30% not zoney is amazing - dont beat yourself up about it.

Jack - scales just go to show that sometimes its good for you to step out the zone. Re quiche - erm, lots of veg, not much cheese? Or salmon and broccoli quiche - small slice for you with enormo salad?

Shite night of sleep in dinky household again last night (resorted to co-not-sleeping with DS2 from 3 so feels like midday round about now) so back on the skinny latte this morning. Though did manage to get to my pilates class and will force myself to go to body combat at lunchtime.

dinkystinky · 10/06/2010 09:49

Ah Coco, how is your little pup? And what did you call him/her?

CheeeseOnToast · 10/06/2010 12:31

ah, puppies!

All ok-ish here. Feeling bit grim, can't work out why. I just feel so tired all the time. Really busy week this week too, no time for gym.

Feel like I'm getting fatter and fatter. I've just finished reading a book called Thin, it's about a girl's experience with Anorexia. V scary.

I'm trying v hard not to snack at the moment. I realised that even though I bought 'healthy' snacks, I can't stop eating them - all in one go. So I have a bag of apples on my desk, will have soup for lunch and a little plate of veggies. Dinner will be chicken something, not sure yet.

Hope everyone's doing well? It's W day tomorrow. dun dun DUN!

dinkystinky · 10/06/2010 13:49

Erm Cheese, have you done a pregnancy test of late. Immense tiredness, rattiness and mad hormone swings were my first symptoms both times - and this thread has a habit of getting posters up the duff... Just joking, there are lots of reasons why you might be feeling grim and there are lots of bugs doing the rounds.

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 10/06/2010 15:38

Hello losers!

Did 5k run this morning, took 34 mins which is 5 minutes faster than the last time I did 5k a year ago then did shred.
Got spinach, ricotta and bacon for quiche, I will make 2 and stick a load of veggies in mine.
Getting really pissed off that eating healthy is so fricking expensive, had to buy fucking caged eggs, cheap bread for dd's, etc as my extra veg/salad stuff adds a good 6-7 quid onto the shopping. This is not a good month for money either, hey ho.

Not looking forward to w day, but am going to measure myself as well as I haven't for a few weeks, fingers crossed the inches have started to go.

dinkystinky · 10/06/2010 15:53

That's brilliant Jack. I agree, healthy eating is definitely not cheap! Cant believe how much fruit and veg cost nowadays - MIL and neighbours are starting to grow as much of their own veg as they can to save money...

BudaisintheZONE · 10/06/2010 16:27

Hi all.

Been zoney today but no exercise. Had to be at school manning uniform open day this morning and it is just soooo hot. 34 degrees at the moment!!! Even the dog is just lying around in whatever cool spot she can find.

Have bought salad stuff and a rotiserrie chicken for dinner as cannot be bothered doing anything else. DH away.

Bugger - just been bitten by a mossie!! Landed on my hand.

Had to have a little nap this afternoon. Was falling asleep so lay on sofa with my book and dozed for almost 2 hours.

Coco - what did you call pup? We may be getting another! We have a yellow female lab and are thinking about another to keep her company. Breeder we got her from has a litter of newborns and has a yellow girl, black girl and a black boy available. Think we may go for the black girl if still not taken.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 10/06/2010 18:35

We have a black lab Buda - she's gorgeous! She's 2 coming & still a bit bouncy! She's just ate ds's lolly that he stopped paying attention to...and I can't find the stick so seems she may have eaten that too!

duckyfuzz · 10/06/2010 18:36

Hello I'm on my new phone its fab quite zony today plus gym and now too busy playing too eat

FairhairedandFrustrated · 10/06/2010 18:45

lol Ya eejit

I've just discovered the classic magnum I bought yesterday is 13 syns...bloody hell. You have 15 (preferrably 10) a day!!

BudaisintheZONE · 10/06/2010 18:50

Still hot.

Have just made myself a yummy salad.

F&F - our lab is just gone 1. A bit bouncy but generally very placid. Which is why we are keen to get another from same breeder. What is yours called? I have been pondering names!

Nice new phone Ducky!

Jack - meant to say well done on the run earlier.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 10/06/2010 19:28

Ours is called Millie - simply because the place we live ends in XXXXmills

What's yours called?

My sister has 2 labs, Daisy & Pepe (she's named after a football player).

BudaisintheZONE · 10/06/2010 19:46

Ours is called Codie. I quite like Molly for a black girl. Have a friend with a DD called Molly though. But she called her dog George and we have a good friend with a DS called George. So I don't think she'd mind.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 10/06/2010 19:49

I'd love a dog. Might get one when the rabbit snuffs it.

JackBauerDeservedAHappyEnding · 10/06/2010 19:54

Oh stop talkinjg about dogs, I want a dog, DD's need to grow up witha dog like I did but we just don't have room. grr. no fair.
