Ta-da!

OP posts:
DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 12:06

That is a good way of looking at it - had lovely small boobs before DS though. Now they look like a couple of spaceships have landed on my chest.

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 12:06

Off out to get lunch now. Sushi I think.

Themasterandmargaritas · 08/06/2010 15:28

Cokester, I need a puppy update I've been watching those Pet people and my God they are scary and quite vitriolic. It puts me off going looking for advice.

at talk of big norks.

I am HUNGRY.

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 15:41

OK have had:

Itsu Detox Soup
Punnet of cherries
Muller Light

Also want to try and knock the Diet Coke on the head but not sure if this is too much to try in one go.

dinkystinky · 08/06/2010 15:51

Dastardly - sounds good on the whole. With Itsu, miso or sushi or salads are generally the less calorific options - but the soups are great (and v moreish) esp on a day like today (and you look like you've been v virtuous anyway so can withstand it). I'd definitely recommend knocking Diet Coke on the head - the aspartame in it will be doing you no favours on the weight loss front.

Food today - fruit salad and skinny latte (my treat for the day)
Pret thai corn soup, one mini babybel light and half punnet cherries

lots and lots of water and green tea

dinner tonight will be tuna steak, veg stirfy and a WW yoghurt

V virtuous but boring...

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 08/06/2010 15:54

Oh thanks dinky, good advice, well needed.

DD2 is 2.7, so I am the same, I let myself off DD1 as she was 11 months when I got pregnant again, so no time to lose

Welcome dastardly, what sort of spaceships?

I am hitting plateau I think, but it WONT LAST.

shred dvd here, £6 delivered and a clip
on youtube there are loads of before and after vids as well, have gotten quite distracted.

Right, muesli for brek, ryvita, cream cheese and smoked salmon with cucumber for lunch, 1 small slice banana bread snack and thai curry with steamed veg for tea.
About to do shred as well before making tea.
see you losers later!

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 15:58

I only got a small portion of the soup so 94 calories and 2 grams of fat. It was delicious.

I know aspartame doesn't help and I'm a terrible addict but really want to give up.

Unfortunately very wobbly spaceships - nothing structured about my norks these days .

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 08/06/2010 16:04

Bin the diet coke dastardly, I am addicted to coke zero, stopped it for 3 weeks and lost, started drinking it last week and shocker, lost nothing

Didn't have tea in teh end yesterday, had large fruit salald with small yoghurt and a small 20g packcrisps, not great, but not too bad as had no other treats.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 08/06/2010 16:09

I don't think I've told you all my news?

I've been accepted as a Slimming World consultant & have been on my first day training today!

Bloody hell, talk about a brain melt down! Am bound to be losing weight through sheer stress alone!

Haven't been too bad today, lots of fruit, plus gammon left over from yesterday.

No idea what's for dinner, maybe sw chips & beans? Have an hours spin class at 7pm if I can kick this banging headache.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 08/06/2010 16:18

I've just had half a big pot of Rachels yogurt - that can be my treat seeing as dinky says we can all have one.

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 16:29

Fairhaired that's great news. Can I use you as my SW guru as I never get chance to go to my local class as DH works away a lot?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 08/06/2010 16:35

If one days training makes me a guru, then bring it on lol!!

Yeah, ask away, if there's anything I can help you with, I surely will Only thing I can't give our to non-members is the password for the website as members pay for that

I started last January & have lost 3 stone - love slimming world!

BudaisintheZONE · 08/06/2010 16:38

Well done FandF!

Well I can make all of you lot bemoaning your baby weight feel better. The Xmas after I had DS I was a size 18. Today I am a 22! I weighed less after I had him than I did before too.

Went out for lunch and had water to drink while the others were having virgin mojitos. Then had a chicken and asparagus salad. Dessert was ordered - 2 between 5. It was strawberry millefeuille and I just picked at the strawberries. Had a cappuchino too. Hungry just now so had an apple.

I am out tonight for dinner and I will try to be good.

We were joined for lunch by a lady who I had never met but is a Pilates instructor. She has had 4 DCs and has the flattest stomach I have ever seen. I have asked her about one-to-one sessions and she is going to call me!!! Scary!

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 16:54

What's everyone having for dinner?

I'm thinking either Rosemary Conley Dahl and a baked sweet potato or a salad with salmon, pots and boiled egg.

Themasterandmargaritas · 08/06/2010 17:00

dastardly, just STEAL my dahl idea why don't you?

DastardlyandSmugly · 08/06/2010 17:02

Ah this is a different dahl though - Rosemary's is fat free (not as nice though )

BudaisintheZONE · 08/06/2010 17:05

Am hungry! The apple didn't do it. Need to eat before I go out or I will get too pissed too quickly or eat too much. Oatcakes and Philly would be ok wouldn't it?

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 08/06/2010 19:32

Ooh fairhaired, veyr impressive!
WTF is slimming world? I don't get al the different plans, is it a points thing or what?

Buda, am veyr on the pilates thing, I would love a personal trainer 121 class, my mum has offered to pay as well, but I just don't have the child free time, DH's shifts cover everything from 7am to 10pm 364 days a year and I can't make a weekly commitment to anything, is complete pita.
oatcakes and philly good, altho coder says don't eat, less wine gets you pissed, so less cals from wine...
although you are probably out by now

Shred done just before cooking tea, stuffed my face with stirfry and thai green curry, and a spoon of angel delight (thanks dd2, i fecking hate the stuff as well, wasn't paying attention and let her feed me)

dinkystinky · 08/06/2010 19:38

Well done Fairhaired!

Buda - great news on the pilates sessions to come! They really do make a difference. I'd suggest a bowl of porridge or something like that to line your stomach.

Jack - my pt comes to my home when the kids are in bed. Could you look into something like that (if your mum will pay)? If you have a garden, you could train in the garden while the kids sleep - or in the living room if in a flat.

Dastardly - dinner tonight is a very virtuous griddled tuna steak and veg stirfry. Followed by a ww yoghurt. ENjoy your yummy dhal.

jenduff · 08/06/2010 19:48

Jack a friend of a friend is a personal trainer and a few of my friends use her - she's very free and easy about booking different slots week in week out so you may find someone who could do that for you?

Although dinky's pt at home is a good idea cos you won't be able to avoid doing it

semi-zone day - woke up with killer migraine so stomach shut down all morning and couldn't eat but needed carbs this afternoon so had fruit and granola and then meatballs for dinner but I had salad instead of spaghetti - I need to think about some excercise though - is this shred malarkey any good then? From what i've heard its pretty hard going

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 08/06/2010 20:06

Hmmm, I hate working out at night but might be wirth a try, will have a think if I get demotivated, my mum pays for too much already

Shred is very good, not long but effectiove, make my legs and arms ache and I pour in sweat.
Not great for weak pelvic floors though...

tostaky · 08/06/2010 21:49

well done FFF! but what is slimming world??is it similar to WW where you hare allowed so many points in a day?

Buda - id love a few 1-2-1 sessions with a pilate instructor!! I always wonder what people do with all those machines in the pilate studio at the gym.
im already spending far too much on fitness every month though... or maybe i should freeze my gym membership for a month and book a proper pilate course instead?? [hmmm]

todays food: special K +milk, courgette-aubergine omelette, plain yogurt with sugar (thanks to DS1), veg soup (DS1), green beans salad, 3 small boiled potatoes, blue cheese/bread and 8 squares of milk choc (biscuit)

tostaky · 08/06/2010 21:53

ive ordered the shred on lovefilm... dont like exercise dvd usually but as it is only 20 mins i might give it a go during nap time...

Aitch · 08/06/2010 22:29

fairhaired can you explain the extra easy plan to me please? it sounds like a great maintenance but it also sounds too bloody good to be true...

dinkystinky · 09/06/2010 08:45

Tostaky - I really recommend postnatal pilates. Is great for re-educating your stomach muscles to pull in after being stretched out - and a hell of a lot better for strengthening your pelvic floor than most other exercises. I'd recommend doing your pelvic floor exercises religiously until the shred dvd comes as, as Jack says earlier, its not great for those as there is a lot of jumping in it (esp when you get to level 2 - no idea on 3 but suspect there's even more).
