I'm more concerned that your dd is pouring what looks either like wine or Smirnoff into her cupcake mixture.

YoginiBikini · 06/06/2010 18:03

Never ever go to Dorset for a week when trying to stay in the zone.

A traitor from the "other "thread has been very sneaky and stuffed me like a goose for Christmas with too much good food and wine. Think I will explode sometime soon.

I will have revenge in two weeks time when I shall encourage her to biff all week long too when she comes to me. What should I feed her with? All's fair in competitive dieting, no?

Help me return to the zone please. My good work has all been undone!

JackBauer · 06/06/2010 18:29

Huh? WHat? WHere!

Oh I get you, it's actually posh mineral water believe it or not, and that is MIL's kitchen, the rehab place won't let her home until she puts on weight (she weighs about 6 stone) so we made fairy cakes to help fatten her up. As you can imagine, when she started bitching about them always giving her extra chocolate pudding and bringing her biscuits and cakes I was full of sympathy

JackBauer · 06/06/2010 18:30

Yogi, you need to be sly here, make yourself a cake with lowfat subs and almonds instead of flour. Or individual lasagne and put tiny bit of strong cheese and skim milk in yours, and full fat everything in hers

YoginiBikini · 06/06/2010 19:24

Good thinking Jack

I'd probably be too tempted to eat the 'rigged' one myself though. Will plan to be perfect hostess and will offer good wholesome food with buckets of alcohol as an optional extra

Seriously dreading the scales in the morning. But I am still in holiday mode this evening so off to open final bottle of wine. Cheers FGMID

JackBauerHas2HoursLeft · 06/06/2010 19:32

Well tody we have had
Bacon and eggs for breakfast (thanks DH)
Black coffee
couldn't find green tea so been dirnking Dr STuarts Detox that my sister left, it's quite nice actually.
2 boiled eggs
roast chicken breast.

Am bored with protein but I need a day of abstinence of all naughty things and that will kcik start me again, not hungry though!

dinkystinky · 06/06/2010 19:50

v unzoney day here today but hey ho, its sunday and I've been up since 4.30 thanks to DS2 (who is now snoring happily in his cot )

Yogini - glad you had a good week away - am sure now you're back home you'll be back in the zone and shift the away weight in time to make your friend from t'other thread green with envy when she arrives.

Gherkers - hope you've recovered from your hangover. You too Buda and Jack.

JackBauerHas2HoursLeft · 06/06/2010 20:38

Dudes, I am the Zonimator!

I have had only protein today and a coffee with one sugar.
I have had a pint short of 2 litres and no coke zero or nothing.
I am queen of the zone! This morning the scales said 16 stone, this evening they say 16st AND ONE AND A HALF POUNDS

TotalChaos · 06/06/2010 20:56

evening all

Jack - don't weigh yourself more than once a week day. I always weigh more in the evening than morning, so answer is weigh always at same time of day.

been on holiday, despite being 2/3 in the Zone I seem to have put on 4 sodding pounds. Obviously missing my 1/2 hour exercise per day has made a difference. grrr.

today has been properly zoney.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 06/06/2010 21:12

Fuck.

I gained 1lb last week, don't know how, but I did. I was as good as gold, but did more exercise than I had been previously doing & my sw consultant reckoned it was too much exercise

Anyway, that made me mad & the day after weigh in I had: Breakfast: fruit salad & lf yog; lunch: Baked potato beans & cheese on the side; dinner was a BBQ & I had 3 kebabs (just chicken & peppers etc) though I had 2 sausages (without roll) snack later on of: Galaxy Ripple, 2 slices of plain loaf toasted

I have been good since & I hope that one bad day won't wreck the week, but it#s only 'cos I was so fucked off upset at gaining when I know I should have lost!

You lot are all doing great!

Coco - have you the pup yet? What's her/his name?

duckyfuzz · 06/06/2010 21:40

today I have been mostly eating salad and peanuts and doing gardening and 'helping' DTs tidy their rooms

grr back to school tomorrow

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 07/06/2010 08:22

Hell Ducky, that's very zoney.

Jack - my scales are like todally screwed, I lost a pound in 3 hours yesterday. (Not attributable to a MamaG).

Need to get back to the zone otherwise my back hamsters will be making a return visit and I have another holiday to fit into my bikini.

Need to start exercising again after week off. C,mon Dinks give me some motivation to get my lardy arse moving again.

Coco - read THAT thread

dinkystinky · 07/06/2010 08:49

Fairhaired, Jack, Aitch and others gaining instead of losing - Keep the faith! You WILL lose - just remember to drink lots and lots of water, exercise portion control and stay relatively zoney and you will get to the weight you want to. And having a day off here or there is good for you - mentally at least if not for your waistline.

Porridge - surely the next bikini clad holiday on the horizon is reason enough to zone it/exercise those exra pounds off. Yes it will be painful the first time you exercise but the good news is, if you've only had a week or so off exercise, its a hell of a lot easier to get back into it again (and less painful) than if you've had a couple of weeks off. So get exercising Missus.

Coco - hope you're ok. Have not seen the thread that others speak of but if you're still getting a hammering, remember there's a full moon on the horizon which brings the MN nutjobs out in force for some reason...

Aitch · 07/06/2010 09:28

you are a very, very, very nice woman, dinky...

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 07/06/2010 09:48

Yes, she is lovely isn't she? And a lawyer lol, wonders never cease !

tostaky · 07/06/2010 09:52

hi all!
i was relatively good yesterday but i started off this morning with 4 pancakes with lots of butter and sugar....
tonight will be soup though.
DP is joining us on wednesday.... Im afraid he wont have the toned up/tanned me i promised him when i left him 2.5 wks ago

on the other hand i met up with an old family friend the other day and she put on 28kg during her pregnancy! made me feel slightly better (i put on at least 20kg then i stopped weighting myself bc it was too awful).

dinkystinky · 07/06/2010 09:55

Tostaky - if you're going to eat pancakes, breakfast is the time to do it! I'd have some protein with that soup tonight (either cheese or pop some beans in it). And bet DP will be so pleased to see you and the kids he'll think you look fabulous anyway...

I put on 3 and a half stone first time round, 3 and abit second time round when pregnant - I have a couple of friends who hardly put on anything and a couple who put on over 5 stone when pregnant. MIL put on 1 stone when pregnant with DH (ate toffe apples and ice cream the whole pregnancy) and 6 stone when pregnant with SIL (ate plums and fruit the whole pregnancy) - go figure! Pregnancy is a funny thing - no one knows in advance how they're going to carry it.

YoginiBikini · 07/06/2010 10:09

Morning I'm in the put on weight and need to step up the will power this week camp

How hard can it be?

BudaisintheZONE · 07/06/2010 10:09

Morning all!

Jack - what the hell are you doing weighing yourself in the evening???? No no no. Always weigh first thing in morning, after a wee and before food. My very scientific theory is that anything I have eaten during the day will just add to my weight if I weigh after eating.

Didn't think I was too bad over the weekend but went from weighing 98.9 on Saturday morning to 100.4 this morning!!!

Walked the dog for an hour on an empty stomach as I read over the weekend that exercising on an empty stomach burns more fat. Made sense to me so I tried it. Have just had a slice of rye bread with a banana and a cup of green tea. Need to drink lots of water today.

Lunch will be asparagus soup which I made on Saturday inspired by Dinky. It was very nice.

About to make a pot of veg and lentil soup.

Dinner will be BBQ and salad.

Tostaky - those pancakes sound yummy!

YoginiBikini · 07/06/2010 10:13

Thanks Buda - am inspired by your talk of soup and will make a huge batch later. Asparagus sounds yummy

They , - whoever 'they' are - also say that having a black coffee before exercise is good

dinkystinky · 07/06/2010 11:12

Glad you enjoyed the asparagus soup Buda. DS2 is an asparagus addict - I have to fight him off my plate when I try to eat them in non soup form. I will be having asparagus dipped in soft boiled egg for dinner tonight when I 've finally wrangled the DSes into bed...

Re exercise on an empty stomach - is kind of controversial as to if it burns fat or not. I tend to exercise on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings on an empty stomach - but that's because I cant face eating until around 8 am ish. I do drink lots of water though while exercising. Other people recommend half a banana or a glass of juice pre-exercise in the morning so you dont feel faint. I tend not to eat for an hour or so at least before exercise if exercising in the afternoon/evening as I know I feel sick if I do - but everyone is different.

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 07/06/2010 12:36

I am going to start shread again today, not exercised in a few days so that won't help.
I am keeping the faith, sure it was just a blip
Today went to playgroup with my new size 18 leggings and size 16 (but baggy) jumper and everyone commented and asked what I was doing
So I am feeling [smug] today (apart from distraught about 24, obviously)

Weirdly I feel like I have pulled my stomach muscles, even though I have done no exercise for 2 days, they really hurt on my right and it pulls down to my hip, weird

jenduff · 07/06/2010 12:52

Yet again after a prolonged absence and half a stone put on over the school hols I'm slinking back in with my tail between my legs looking for the zone

JackBauerIsGoneForever · 07/06/2010 13:19

I think we all need bootcamp.
