Ta-da!

OP posts:

Cheese - I got bad cramp in my legs during pregnancy. Mag Phos supplements helped (you can get from health food stores). Otherwise Bananas and tonic water (quinine in it) good for staving off cramps. Also get two mats and double one over to go under your knees good idea if your knees hurt in yoga (I have to do that). And I too feel rubbish when on my period - did pilates this morning and felt crap (though may be down to DS2 only letting me get 3 hours sleep last night too).

Buda - walk sounds lovely; wish I could get out and walk rather than be stuck behind a desk all day.

Aitch- tis probably just water retention. What do your trousers tell you?

Aitch · 03/06/2010 11:45

i've not been wearing trousers, i'm more a dress and leggings gal. but my poor tum is sore, so i think i am BLOATING. onwards and upwards.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 11:53

I do wish you'd all stop writing lido, I keep thinking you are all jealous of Jack's libido.

I've just had a mango for lunch and NO coke. Be proud of me, it doesn't happen often.

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 12:00

Article good. I think his comment about eating junk if you have made it is aimed at people who are not on diets. More of a health thing really. And some people can eat cakes and not put on weight.

Aitch - i went through that last week for some reason. Felt really bloated for no apparent reason. Period not due. Have you had anything with flour in it?

Yum to mango TMAM. I loved the Asian ones. Don't bother to buy imported ones as they are just not the same.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 12:16

We are lucky living here in that 99.9% of our junk is home made from scratch. We don't have that much in the way of processed foods either and I tend to buy local rather than imported so it reduces my range.

Personally I like his suggestion of wine with every a meal.

Aitch, too much leafy green veg can leave me like a balloon and the rear end result would rival Cyb's bread blowouts.

Aitch · 03/06/2010 12:57

no bread, no wheat, no nuttin. i have just eaten a stem ginger ice cream lolly and tidied up eaten the contents of the fridge to console myself.

cyb · 03/06/2010 13:03

Buda lets have a fart off

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 14:00

Moi cyb? Fart? Never. (Tries not to remember the time DH tried to leave me in middle of Australian outback due to farts in car. Wonders if I was responsible for hole in ozone above Australia?)

dinkystinky · 03/06/2010 14:52

OOh Mango.. my favourite. Well done TMAM. Our corner shop stocks them and I bought so many last year the owner told me specially when the first delivery was coming this year

I have been zonetastic today - pilates before brekkie (despite v little sleep), green tea and porridge with yoghurt and water for breakfast, body combat at lunchtime, veggie sushi and edamame beans for lunch, and a fruit salad for snack this afternoon. My dinner tonight will be beetroot feta walnut salad thingie and mango and strawberries. Yum.

dinkystinky · 03/06/2010 14:52

P.s. Aitch - tis Water Retention I tell ya.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 03/06/2010 14:56

sofar I 've had:
apple
jacket spuds with cheese
solero
lots of coffee
Dinky you are my current fave MNer 'cos you have put me in the abs zone.My tummy muscles are aching today - yay!

dinkystinky · 03/06/2010 15:08

My pleasure Cornie

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 15:09

Hmm. After all that bread/wind talk I must admit to a windy/gurgly/bloated tum. Had a big greek salad for lunch but was hungry then around 2.30 so had a slice of rye bread with cheese. I think I should only have one slice of that a day and def not when really hungry. Just having an Activia yoghurt and some mint tea to settle things down.

cornsilk - well done. I keep putting off ab stuff. Have done nothing in that line for YEARS. I need a program. I need to get with the program! I need to just do something!

dinkystinky · 03/06/2010 15:13

Buda - pilates is good for abs and back. Worth trying out that dvd you found.

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 18:03

Ugh. I do not feel well today. didn't get much sleep after a lot fo sun yesterday, went for a run this morning and forgot to have a drink before, and it was boiling. I wasn't even sweating I was so dehydrated, been trying to dirnk all day but have a banging headache which is not helping.
Alpen for brek.
forgot to have lunch
handful jelly babies afternoon snack
2 tiny quiche (like fairy cake size) and a digestive.
Supposed ot be having spinach and ricotta quiche for tea with DH when he gets in but I might doa quick salad after girls have gone to bed and let him have all quiche.
Should do shred later as well but my head hurts so bad!

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 03/06/2010 18:16

Got a sleepover for 5 tonight - my own 2 plus 3 other girlies. All have arrived, cue much squealing.

They are on pizza, popcorn and icecream bar later. Think I will need gin.

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 18:29

What are you drinking Jack - you may need more than water. Have you any rehydration salts? Or drink Lucozade or those sports drinks. You'll need more than just water to replenish salts and things.

gherkin - gin dispensation given. 5 girls. Respect. You are mad!

Was hungry earlier while making DS's tea so had 2 rye crakers with some cheddar. Just had 2 mugs of soup for dinner. Will have some tortilla chips with salsa later if hungry.

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 18:35

don't have any rehydration stuff. I walked up to the shop earlier with DD's as I didn't want to risk driving but my local shop is an aldi...
I have squash that I have been drinking and coke zero that I am going to dip into later I think, also skimmed milk. I just don't feel like drinking, am having to force myself to drink a small cup and then I feel sick again. It's not good really. I know what I need to do but I can't get myself to do it.

gherkin. I can't even think about your evening with my head like it is, although we did ask dd's bff over earlier, she lives next door (ish) and is between them in age, and every blinking day I get 'When is M coming over, can we see ehr today, can she come and play?' today I didn't have the fight to say no, so went and asked for her to play, they are knackered now, result!

MamaG · 03/06/2010 18:39

hello
I'm stil fat.
goodbye

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 19:08

Hello MamaG. Wondered where you had gotten to. Stay. You know you love us!

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 19:32

mamag, come back!

(buda, she is in a grump, check the cunting oven thread)
Drinking pint of coke zero, horribly bad for me I know but I am now weighing 3lb heavier and head is banging so I need to rehydrate more than calorie/sweetener watch i think.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 19:37

Jack the only thing that's going to get rid of your headache now is a couple of nurofen. Trust me.

Next time take a dioralyte straight away afterwards and eat a banana.

MamaG, come vent with your friends

Coke, I've got a puppy in my pocket.

And no power.

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 19:42

haven't got dioralyte, need to stock up, it's just this ridiculous heatwave. I live in the wettest city in britain, it's not supposed to be this hot, dammit.
nurofen here i come, unless, maybe wine would be better?

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 19:44

Both. Not recommended but I find they compliment each other nicely.

duckyfuzz · 03/06/2010 20:36

drink water not wine jack (its not often you hear me say that!)
gherkin sounds like hell, you'll need all the gin you can get
mamag sympathies with the oven, took me ages to get used to my electric one

my SIl went in to be induced yesterday, no news yet, she is tiny, my brother is not
took DTs shoe shopping today adn survived, but needed 2 glasses of wine in strada with lunch to recover, then bought this dress which is a far nicer shade of red in RL
not a great day zone wise, but half term so will find my way back next week
