Evening all. Jack - I second the nurofen, if you can lay your hands on any lucozade sport that'll do you good too (more good than coke zero).

Ducky - am wishing your SIL luck. Am 5 4, DH is 6 2 and my two boys werent horrifically large (9lber for DS1, 2 weeks overdue and 8 6 for DS2, a week and abit early). Dress looks quite nice - am sure it looks really good on.

Gherkin - good luck with the sleepover. Sounds like you may need to fall asleep in the gin bottle...

tostaky · 03/06/2010 21:37

Jack - you can make your own rehydration drink: a pint of water, a tsp of sugar and half a tsp of salt. thinking of you: i hate headaches!!!

nice dress Ducky! but linen is so demanding...

whoever suggested pushy mum, yes, im booked already for when im back in london + ive got a gym with a creche so im planning on doing yoga (i dont like pilates for some reasons or maybe i should try again) and swimming too (and maybe some aerobics or other classes if i dont feel too old)

today, not necessarily in that order: 1.5 pain au choc, 2 peaches, 2 apricots, 1 apple, 1/2 kiwi, 1/2 tomato, 1 egg, 1/2 avocado +tsp olive oil, 2 carrots, 2 biscuits (DSs), 1 small slice of ham, 3 small gherkins and 3 small bits of butter, small piece of bread + cheese.

not too bad then. but the thing is im eating what DS1 doesnt eat like the 0.5 pain au choc or the 0.5 kiwi, i need to be better at managing his/my food.

Undertone · 03/06/2010 21:40

ducky - tried that dress on in navy - it does indeed look nice, but my hooge arse scuppered it in the end for me. good on yer.

Anyhoo - You know those nightmares where you're in a client meeting and your Facebook profile, with huge embarrassing photo, comes up on a big screen?

Well that happened in real life to me today.

The client is considering a social marketing campaign, and I logged in to facebook in the meeting so the client could see what a fan site looked like... but the person driving the meeting clicked on my 'profile' tab.

It was like it was happening in slow motion.

i've put my facebook profile photo in my Mn pictures.

Picture the horror.

dinkystinky · 03/06/2010 21:51

Oh my god Undertone - that photo is hilarious. I bet you just died!!

Tostaky - just ignore/bin whatever DS1 doesnt eat. Or get your DH to eat it instead. Pushymothers is great - I did the very first lot of classes they did after when DS1 was little; is a great way to meet other mums and exercise. Be careful with the yoga if it isnt specifically post natal yoga as the relaxin in your system may make you think you're uber bendy and hurt yourself though (know a few people who strained muscles doing yoga in the 6 months after birth by really pushing themselves to do what they thought they were doing pre-pregnancy).

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 21:54

Undertone! That's Hy.Ster.Ic.Al.

DH has just given you the 'nice' nod, high praise indeed

Undertone · 03/06/2010 21:56

I feel special!!

pointydog · 03/06/2010 21:57

lol @ under's photo

JackBauer · 03/06/2010 21:58

duckyfuzz · 03/06/2010 22:00

lol undertone, so did the pic sway the client?!

duckyfuzz · 03/06/2010 22:03

prepare for summer

Aitch · 03/06/2010 23:24

lololol at that photo, undertone. and assuming you're the valkyrie you are also awfully pretty.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 03/06/2010 23:26

Just to let you know I am making sure that Yogini eats and drinks all the right stuff this week.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 04/06/2010 01:05

fuck me my abs are killing me tonight.

BudaisintheZONE · 04/06/2010 06:34

LOL at photo Undertone!

Nice dress ducky.

tostaky - you need more protein!

Right. Weigh in news time.

Am 99 kg. Which is 15st 7.5. Which is a total loss of almost 17 lbs.

And no bugger has noticed! So where the sodding hell has it gone from??????

Size 22 jeans I bought at Easter kept falling down yesterday so crotch ended up looking nappyish.

Apparently last day of wintery rainy weather today and from tomorrow it will be warm and sunny again. Thank God.

BariatricObama · 04/06/2010 07:08

ha ha ha @ undertone. you are a babe!

11 stone nothing today. so 1 lb up. c'est la vie.

weight is finally having to come off my middle section having exhausted all other possibilities and believe me my phantom lard baby isn't going without a fight.

cocolepew · 04/06/2010 07:52

Haha undertone!

TMAM stop teasing meeeeeeeeeeeeee [whines]

Eating more this week will slap myself and stop. It's just a bloody habit.

JackBauer · 04/06/2010 08:22

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Buda! well done! Are you measuring yourself witha tape measure? I really recommend it, start now if you haven't been, I have lost 11 cm off my waist so far, but it's not immediately obvious form the outside iyswim, (prob because 11cm is not that much considering my total circumference...)

I am 15 13. Feck. I blame staying at FIL's where I couldn't stuff the fridge with healthy snacks as it was stuffed with his food.
Need slap please

Need to start doing shred as well, did it twice last week and then coulnd't at FILs (I swear, there was nowhere with enough floor space to lie down apart from the beds or the downstairs hallway!)

BudaisintheZONE · 04/06/2010 08:50

Thanks Jack! Don't have a measuring tape I don't think. Will get one. 11cm of waist is great!

Don't worry too much about scales. you know you are shrinking. Today is start of another week. Drink loads of water to flush out crap. I have taken up Dinky's tip of green tea - bought a Pickwick packet of various flavours and am two-thirds way through it. Cut out the coke zero. I know yesterday it was medicinal but it is just full of crap that makes you want more crap. Someone on another thread recommended buying some limes and keeping them in the fridge and squeezing a couple into a big glass of fizzy water with ice.

Have just done dog walk but only 20 mins today as it is miserable out and it killed me! Still recovering from yesterday's I think. Will hunt out Pilates DVD and have a look at that.

Undertone · 04/06/2010 09:38

Oo - that's such a good tip about the lime juice. Will try that, as I'm mad for diet coke.

Thanks all for your hoots of mirth/sympathy.

Luckily, the (muslim) client DID find it funny. But I still feel like a year or so has been taken off of my life.

14 stone 2 this morning - 1 pound off this week. Slow and boring.

WOO for all losers!

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/06/2010 09:44

Well done Buda.

rofl at Undertone.

Tostasky, you need to eat MORE if you are breastfeeding a tiny tiny one. Eat some carbs and some grilled fish/steak/chicken with veg but fgs woman eat something.

JackBauer · 04/06/2010 09:55

Fivego, is Yogini staying with you? Just get loads of postits out and stick 'Don't eat this you fat cow' signs all over the biscuit tins, sorted

Busy today, off to park in abbit with DH (and dd's, natch) then to beach with friend and her dd, and then have great (but insane she is moving 200 miles in her due date week) mate coming to visit with her ds and dh for tea, am doing them meatballs, she is veggie so will do her pasta and some thick tomato susoup for her to have as a sauce, or is that uberlazy?

DukesOfTripHazard · 04/06/2010 10:00

More hoots of mirth/sympathy at Undertone's fb debacle.

Well done losers.

This is mad: Biffed for 3 days at w/e in feral, crazed fashion so ate v carefully since Tues to stay at goal and have lost an unintended pound yet glad I've still got it in me.

My mum fell and fractured her femur day before yesterday so life is a bit topsy turvy here. She is her ususal stoic, witty self. I must not succumb to hospital panninis. Planning required.

dinkystinky · 04/06/2010 10:01

Cornsilk - tis the muscle repairing itself. If it aches again, pop 2 profen and should be ok. Take it easy on your abs day after an abs work out - no rower etc which really works the abs - and will be right as rain the next day. And next time you do it, your abs will recover much quicker.

Well done Buda and Undertone on your losses. Jack - at least you didnt go up weightwise. And you'll have a loss next week, am sure. And the veggie option for your mate sounds fine.

Am 10 6 again today - but have period and water retention from hell so suspect will be back at 10 5 when period ends.

Undertone · 04/06/2010 10:03

Cripes - best wishes to your mum, Dukes

CheeeseOnToast · 04/06/2010 10:06

I just wrote out a huge post but then MN ate it. "offline for a few moments" apparently

Gist of it was, that the f$$$ing scales are bastards. I am apparently 9stone5.8 this morning. Up 3.5 lbs apparently on last Friday! WTF!?!?!??! That can't be right, surely? I am due on, but I've never had such a spike in weight before period. So am grumpy today. But I did LOL at Undertone's pic coming up in a meeting, how hilarious. Undertone, you are gorgeous

Well done Buda and other losers.

I dont understand, I've been really good this week. I went out for a drink last night, and stuck to gin and tonic (and I only had two) and had a nice small healthy salad for dinner. WHY?????? My jeans do feel a tad looser, and usually-unobservant DP asked if I was loosing weight yesterday after cuddling me, so why are the scales being deviant?

I have a big family party to go to tomorrow and it's being catered, no idea if there'll be healthy food but I will really try. There will also be cake. It is red velvet cake. It is my favourite. I will only have one slice (must join in, it's my dad's birthday).

I can't do my personal trainer session tonight as I need to go collect said cake, but I will go for a run after, I think.
