LOL at your DH Jack!!!! Tell him he is a big girl's blouse!

champagnesupernova · 17/05/2010 09:29

Hello all of you
Prob v few of you even remember me, but the lovely Su pointed me over here a few threads ago, due to my biffing tendencies in the toasted cheese sandwich department. I was at how evangelical dedicated you are but was a bit rubbish.

Anyhoo, I couldn't keep up with you all not just because you're all hardcore in the zone but also because I'm now 3 months pregnant.

I have been sick as a dog so have been alternately eating not very much and loads of snickers energy-giving foods.

So I'll have to come back for Su's bootcamp to shift the lard baby weight when I'm back on my feet.

But in the meantime best of luck this summer and think of me when you're all in your bikinis and I'm back in my elasticated stretch trousers.

SuSylvester · 17/05/2010 09:31

hooray! congrats !!

well done
so you were pg at mn party! poor you!

champagnesupernova · 17/05/2010 09:39

no think it was the champagne at the party that caused the trouble
But yes, is very exciting but NOT good for my waistline.
I told my parents at the weekend and King Diplomacy Dad said "oh I thought you were just fat"

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 17/05/2010 09:47

Congrats champagne! Wonderful news.

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 09:49

Congratulations Champagne - another thread baby! Am keeping my legs crossed for good now.

Aitch · 17/05/2010 10:41

how lovely, champagne, and WHAT an excuse to BIFF OUT!

i still haven't found a dress to wear to this sodding wedding. the volcano has knocked the will out of me, as i don't believe we'll actually get there...

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/05/2010 10:47

Congratulations champagne

Is the fancy French wedding? I suggest you buy a train ticket Can we be at your service oh scottish one? Colour, type, price?

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 10:48

Oh Aitch - hopefully the bloody volcano will have stopped spurting by wedding time. When is it again? Or could you train, eurostar and train again if need be?

Aitch · 17/05/2010 10:54

no, i'm not spending the money twice, i'm afraid. but i do need a dress anyway as i have bridezilla sister's wedding to go to a fortnight later.

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 11:00

In which case it has to be a fabulous wedding dress. Will kiddies be with you at Sister's wedding. If so, shiny sheeny stuff to be avoided like plague as nothing shows up a snotty little hand/face print like that stuff. What was not quite right about those lovely dresses you linked to a few weeks ago? And what's the budget?

Aitch · 17/05/2010 11:07

budget is, well, i'd prefer under 200. in fact i'd prefer under 100 tbh...

haven't tried those dresses on yet but am still not a believer in my upper arms i think so would prefer something with a bit more coverage.

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 11:16

would you maybe prefer something along these lines?

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/05/2010 11:18

I missed the other dresses, but I can see you in this. Stylish yet simple.

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/05/2010 11:19

Or with a bit more colour here?

Aitch · 17/05/2010 11:23

i am in favour of the slinky in principle but that dress is cut like a sack, dinks, don't you think? but yes, red is good, wrap is good.
i like the first monsoon dress, i do like that art curator vibe but do you think it will be okay for a wedding? it looks more smart daywear to me. i will deffo go and have a look at it though, it's nice.
no to any form of ethnicity, however, we don't allow hippies in scotland, it's too cold.

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/05/2010 11:32

I think it would work Aitch because it is silk. I threw the purple in to gauge your reaction

FoghornLeghorn · 17/05/2010 11:35

T'was indeedy NDP . Had been aware for so long but now feels like never left.

Stats - 5ft 7 - 11stone - want to lose 1 stone at least - 7 weeks til holiday eeeeeeek !

Have just brought a new cross trainer so hope to use that everyday and giving weight watchers another try.

FoghornLeghorn · 17/05/2010 11:36

Congrats Champagne

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 11:40

Was thinking red and wrap really aitch and the fact that the arms would conceal your area of concern rather than cut. Agree not beautifully tailored but well within budget

Alternatively go for one of the pretty dresses you like and team with a shrug (Cyb can advise on all things cardy like).

Someone linked some v pretty red dress from John lewis on a style & beauty thread - worth a looksie on there.

dinkystinky · 17/05/2010 11:40

Coast have some pretty dresses in but all have arms on show.

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/05/2010 12:02

If you can handle some vibrant print this is lovely

Or something more sedate

and finally understated
